Physical Description
True Form: Physically, Melancholic is the smallest and weakest of the four generals. His body and physique, while not paper-thin, are no more impressive than an average soldier. His body is completely black, two long "ears" resembling the Capricorn sign protrude from atop his head, his eyes are a sickly, solid yellow, his teeth are razor-sharp, his fingers are tipped with foot-long claws, and in place of his legs is a ghostly tail that's typically one with the surrounding shadows.
Human Form: He's still the smallest, with a lean figure and a clean-cut, angular face. He has pale skin, short blond hair and yellowish green eyes. He wears a green army coat and pants, a black tie and black boots.
Weapons
His shield and various weapons he crafts out of shadows.
Abilities/Powers
His primary powers are shadow-based; he can control shadows, merge his body with them, travel through them, and so on. He can use his claws to tear open portals to other dimensions. He also possesses control over earth.
Skills
He is a brilliant strategist, skilled in math, science and history. He's infamous for destroying his enemies' defenses from the inside out, along with their hopes and emotions.
Personality
As his name suggests, Melancholic is the introverted type. He is thoughtful, cautious, intelligent, sensitive, oftentimes moody, independent, and a perfectionist and regular downer. While he is mostly self-reliant and can and has successfully operated alone, he is still a noble and gifted leader to his army. In battle, he has no empathy; he will tear you down physically and emotionally with no remorse.
History
Very little is known about the four generals of the Præt'nos armies. It is evident that they've been raised since their creation to be leaders, and they are amongst the oldest Præt'nos in existence. Melancholic was schooled in various academics, excelling at all his classes and eventually rising to become the top mind of the Præt'nos, equally skilled in math and science as he was the art of war. He now leads the Earth Army, where he aims to strengthen his soldiers' minds as much as their bodies so that they may effectively obtain the Paramount Key.
Other
Like all Præt'nos, he is immortal and can only be killed by a deep wound between the neck and shoulder, but would nonetheless be revived after some time.
