Physical Description
In human form, Darien is tall and thin, with light skin, dark brown hair with a blond stripe, hazel eyes, and subtle scars on his face and arms. He wears a white and light gray striped shirt, a black jacket, jeans, black shoes with red laces, and glasses.
In werewolf form, he is taller, more muscular, and has lupine body proportions and features, including sharp teeth, claws, pointed ears, a muzzle and a tail. His coat is the same shade of dark brown with the same blond stripe on his head, and his eyes are a fierce, glowing gold.
Weapons
When he's human, he fights with guns, usually pistols and magnums. When he's a werewolf... well, his body IS a weapon.
Abilities/Powers
Every full moon, against his will, Darien transforms into a werewolf. In this form, he is stronger, faster, nearly invulnerable, and has heightened senses and instincts. He has very little control over himself, though, so he's pretty much a nigh-unstoppable killing machine.
Skills
He is an expert marksman and rarely misses his target. He's also a decent guitarist.
Personality
Darien is a tortured, emotionally conflicted young man who is terrified of the possibility of his inner beast hurting someone. Because of this, he is very detached from most people, not wanting to risk forming bonds just so he could maul his would-be friends. Still, those who have forced themselves into his life have earned his trust, and he takes it upon himself to protect them from enemies as well as himself. While he has a tendency to brood, he's not completely emo; he's just calm and quiet, never one to display loud, bombastic emotions.
History
Darien was an only child raised outside of Cambridge, and for the first half of his life, he was a gentle soul with a loving, protective family. When he was twelve, he was involved in a car crash, injured to the point of requiring a blood transfusion. However, the blood he received came from a werewolf, causing him to fall victim to the werewolf curse; when the full moon came, Darien transformed and lost control, attacking his parents. His mother was killed and his father, unaware of who the werewolf was, tried to kill Darien, only managing to frighten him off. When he changed back the next morning, Darien, horrified of what he had become, ran away from home.
Over the next few years, he wandered across Britain, searching for a cure while working various odd jobs. Eventually, he was captured by a group of men who forced him into an underground werewolf fighting ring. Reluctant as he was, Darien had to fight to survive, becoming one of the best fighters in the ring. After two years of practically living as a slave to his captors' commands, Darien rallied the other surviving werewolves and formed a resistance group, leading them in a battle against the ringleaders and finally reclaiming their freedom.
Once free, Darien used the money he stole from the ring to fly to America, hoping to start anew. He continued to wander the countryside until he stumbled into Summer Snow Valley during a full moon. The locals didn't outright attack him, merely using their unique abilities to keep him at bay and calm him down. The next morning, they exchanged stories and offered Darien a place to stay in the valley. He has lived there ever since, discovering that he can still make friends despite his condition, and is now in a romantic relationship with Jen Anders.
Other
Darien typically locks himself up every full moon. If the need arises or if he's simply too late to get inside before nightfall, he will fight as a werewolf, but he of course runs the risk of harming innocents.
