Physical Description
Swift is a bit short and thin, but otherwise has an average build. She has fluffy tan hair usually tied in a ponytail, wolf-like ears and a tail of the same color, amber eyes, fangs and claws. She usually wears a pink shirt, a brown vest, brown pants, pink and white tennis shoes, a brown hat and a golden ring.
When in human form, her ears become human, her tail vanishes, her eyes turn green and her fangs and claws retract. When in full yokai form, her fangs and claws grow longer, the whites of her eyes turn yellow, and she acquires black markings under her eyes.
Weapons
Her katana, Yorokobi, though she is typically more of a hand-to-hand fighter.
Abilities/Powers
Her speed, strength, agility, stamina and dexterity are greater than a human's but not as developed as a full yokai's. Her senses of smell, sight and hearing are very well-tuned. Also, on the night of her birthday only, she can turn into a full wolf.
Skills
She has a knack for puzzle solving, tracking and navigating through obstacles; she's pretty much a fan of any physical activity.
Personality
Typically, Swift is very energetic, fun-loving, friendly and even a bit hyperactive. She's always up for some action or excitement, whether she has to force her way into it or get it started herself. Despite this, she does have good leadership skills and knows when deep thinking is required. She's not afraid to work outside the box or come to others' defense, and she's always there for whoever needs her.
History
Swift was born to an American, human mother and a wolf yokai father; her parents met when her journalist mother went to Japan to write a story, and shortly after returning home, she gave birth to their half-human, half-yokai daughter. Knowing American society wouldn't accept Swift, they lived with her grandparents in their lakeside cottage, where Swift's father would visit them yearly. For a long time, she tried to enjoy herself despite her limited and often boring lifestyle.
When she was in her early teens, Swift's father gave her a ring that served two purposes: keeping her yokai blood in check and granting her immediate passage to the Immortal World, the realm that bridged their universe's Human and Netherworld. She spent some time in this world, finding that people there were willing to accept her hybrid nature, and even found a job as a scent tracker for a mining company. From there on out, once she learned how to properly use the ring, Swift worked part-time for the company.
Shortly afterwards, her grandmother died of cancer, and upon insisting that she could take care of herself, her grandfather retired and moved out, as did her mother, granting Swift ownership of the cottage. In the years that followed, Swift gained a few roommates: the spirit of a little boy named Jake, ex-criminal-turned-rat Rob, and aliens Andromeda and Aether. She's made plenty of other friends along the way, including the Summer Snow Valley gang; Evan, one of such residents, has since become her boyfriend. Together, Swift and her band have been on countless adventures and are ready for more to come...

During the day before the full moon reaches its highest peak, Swift turns fully human; she reverts back to a hanyo when the sun sets. If she loses her ring and is seriously angered, she will lose control and turn into a full yokai. Also, she loves candy, indie rock and Doctor Who.
