Physical Description
Being of the Ifrit race, Sal is an individual usually distinguishable by his fiery orange hair, and his flame themed clothing. Among them is an orange shirt and blue pants, ended with scorch black hiking boots. He’s also known to wear a number of armor plates from time to time, the most notable being flexible shoulder pads that extend down his arm to his elbows, spike protruding from the armor plates. The most notable trait to be seen from Sal however is the tiny horns on his head that only barely poke out of his hair, an oddity since Ifrit horns are typically, at the very least, halfway grown in at maturity.
Weapons
None. Instead, Sal practices various natural fighting arts, practiced by his race, which make use of his fists, feet and the powerful claws on the end of his fingers. When he does use a weapon however, Sal can use battering weapons like bats, concrete pillars, tables, gauntlets and greaves.
Abilities/Powers
However, all of that comes second to Sal’s unusual abilities as an Ifrit. Being born to a King of Demons father and an Ifrit mother, He is capable of using abilities from both types. King of Demons are typically described as powerful and gigantic demons with traits from many animals, however this is actually a bit of a misnomer. ‘King of Demons’ types of demons are actually powerful shape shifters that can mix and match many different animal body types into whatever horrid abomination they so please, combine that with very potent strength and ridiculous durability and you have a very potent fighter. POTENTIALLY Sal can use this ability as well, and has been known to use it to a small extent. However, it’s with his abilities as an Ifrit that really shine through, Sal shows great proficiency with his race’s fire magicks and can very easily use them to his benefit. This includes creating powerful fireballs, fire collumns, fire punches, and even attacking with a slight speed boost when standing on or in flammable gasses or liquids.
Weaknesses
The ‘King of Demon’s’ half of Sal has virtually no-weaknesses save for his inability to make significant changes to himself… However it’s the IFRIT half of his genetics that falls short of the mark. Thanks to being a being of fire, he is very susceptible to cold temperatures and could be ‘put out’ by great amounts of liquid.
Skills
Not all that unsurprising for a demon of royal stature, Sal is not particularly skilled in any one area and knows relatively little about common hobbies. However, as is typical of demon kind, he is a natural mischief maker and has a potent eye for tricks and playful deception.
Personality
While he physically may look 12, Sal is actually, mentally a 16 year old teenager just going out into the world to seek his fortunes. What is notable however is that Sal is… Very intense for a demon his age. When asked, he tends to talk of seeking revenge of some kind against someone he used to know as a child…
However, that is not to say a brooding ego is all Sal is, in the rare moments where he lightens up, he reveals a fairly playful personality; a butch egotist that practically eats anything testosterone based for breakfast. As such, he greatly enjoys heavy metal (Both the music and the style of support beams), exercising. In particular however, he (just as any other demon would) Particularly enjoys fighting, and he always looks for the next person that could be capable of challenging him. Defeat him in a fight and you may find yourself a worthwhile ally in this odd child…
There is also a twinge of insecurity to this being, as, upon meeting him, usually many people note what they BELIEVED they would be in for upon meeting an Ifrit; giant, powerful, musclebound, fire covered, massive intimidating horns, everything Sal basically is not. The topic tends to annoy him a great deal. Heck, commenting on his size WILL earn you a punch to the teeth. At BEST.
History
Relatively little is known about Sal’s origins, though it’s well known that his father is the ruler of the neighboring Demon kingdom, known for going up to the surface to assert his dominance over the human race. He’s actually amassed quite a bit of a harem from doing this, much to his son’s, AND MOTHER’S, disgust. Rumor has it that Sal has a brother, but no-one has seen hide or hair of him since the official separation of his mother and father.
His father was eventually slain by a human hero for his gluttony (And, you know, human touchy feely reasons whatever the hell those are.. Pff, entitlement), however, Sal is not known to react in any way when his father is brought up in typical conversation beyond a bemused snort. Whatever the case, when he finally turned the proper age of demon maturity, he left home to go out and seek his fortune. As is customary for demons that come of age, Sal’s mother teaches him the art of forming binding magical contracts and allows him to travel out beyond their home, advising him to be careful of all of the demons about… Rather then heed his mother’s instruction however, he traveled WELL outside of the kingdom and to the Jigoku, the portions of the underworld situated underneath Asia. While there, he forms an… Interesting contract…
