Full Name: Bloodstone
Nickname(s): Blood, the Green Maniac, Turncoat
Age: Ageless, around 7,000 years, give or take.
Height: 6'5"
Weight: Athletic build, on the lighter side.
Gender: Nonbinary, female presenting
Race: Gem
Alliance: Good
Home: The Earth, though she has no set home.
Franchise: Steven Universe (OC)
Physical Description
Bloodstone cuts an imposing figure, being quite tall; while she isn't as muscular as the average Quartz-type Gem (being of a different variety), she has an athletic build, is fairly curvy, and is as nimble as she is strong. She wears a red bodysuit with a green cloth 'belt' around the waist, the suit the same color as her eyes and hair, and has dark green skin, with her Gemstone being inset in her right hand, through her black fingerless gloves. See the picture for details.
Weapons and Accessories
Bloodstone's weapon is one that suits her agility and strength perfectly; it is a rapier with a red handle and dark green blade which she can summon from her gem like all other Gems. She tends to wear a bag as well for the sake of carrying objects since she can't store objects in her gem. Her rapier is receptive to her hemokinetic powers (thanks to Bismuth's upgrades) and makes her very dangerous in a drawn-out conflict.
Abilities/Powers
Much like other Gems, Blood is durable, strong, and fast. As a Quartz variant, she is naturally inclined towards strength and combat proficiency, and it shows. Besides that, however, Bloodstone is capable of dropping a liquid from her gem that has a sort of healing property in organic life, especially when mixed with water. It will not, however, work on inorganic material, including other Gems, and she can only do it so much in a certain period of time. She has hemokinesis powers, usable both for offense and healing.
Weaknesses
Due to their variance, unlike other gems such as a normal Jasper, Bloodstones are much more fragile, incapable of taking big hits before getting poofed. As such, Bloodstone needs to rely on her agility to avoid taking heavy hits.
Skills
Bloodstone has a decent grasp of language, and is very good at pathfinding and tracking, as a result of the role her gem type has as scouts. She knows a thing or two about cooking from observing humans despite not needing to eat herself.
Personality
Bloodstone herself is a bit of an odd duck. In combat, she sometimes takes an almost crazy glee in fighting, and has, in the past, licked blood or other things like that from her blade. Needless to say, this creeps out just about everyone who sees it.
Unlike her longtime travel companion, Bloodstone has a pretty good grasp of love, having learned a lot from Rose Quartz during her time with the Crystal Gems. Moreso than love, the concept of loyalty is something that's been at her mind's forefront for a long time.
History
Bloodstone herself was a bit of an odd addition to the Crystal Gems and the Rebellion, anyway. She was one of the first to fall victim to Aquamarine's distress signal trap, and instead of getting poofed and shattered, the scout encountered someone she'd met before; someone she'd found an odd kinship with. Needless to say, Bloodstone quickly threw her lot in with Rose.
At least for a while. When Blue Diamond was going to join in the fighting, Aquamarine fled. Bloodstone didn't want to leave the rebellion, but for the sake of keeping her friend alive, she left as well. Someone had to keep an eye on the merchant after all. She traveled with Aquamarine for quite a long time, wandering the earth and taking part in various conflicts. Some humans even believed that other Bloodstones had healing properties like hers did due to what she performed with her power.
Other
While she and Aquamarine spent some time together, their paths did split for a while. Eventually, Bloodstone happened upon an odd rift...
