Full Name: Rodin
Nicknames: 'Father', 'The Infinite One'
Age: Unknown, but old. At least 1500
Height: Fairly tall
Weight: Average
Gender: Male
Race: Fallen Angel
Alliance: Neutral
Home: Paradiso/Inferno
Franchise: Bayonetta
Physical Description
See the pictures. Rodin is a tall, rather muscular black man who always wears sunglasses. He wears a trenchcoat over a stylish shirt, pants, and a pair of boots.
Weapons and Accessories
Rodin fights with his fists, primarily; he doesn't need weapons. He does have a tool, though, that he uses to imbue weapons with the souls of residents of Inferno; he uses these to make weapons for Bayonetta.
Abilities/Powers
Rodin has some pyrokinetic powers, which he often uses to light cigars. He also can focus his magic into a laser from his eye, and his 'Wicked Weaves' make magical manifestations of his own fists. He's also rather durable, as seen on two different occasions when a coffin lid and street sign hit his head, breaking... with him not even flinching. He is also capable of summoning weapons that he's created, though he himself does not use them.
Weaknesses
Despite his strength, Rodin's stronger powers, both angelic and demonic, have been sealed away; it required an immense amount of Halos in order to temporarily break that seal... and both times it happened, Bayonetta defeated him anyway.
Skills
Rodin is a skilled drink mixer, and a genius weaponsmith.
Personality
Rodin is a rather brusque individual who doesn't tend to take bullshit from anybody, as Enzo knows quite well. That said, he's a good ally of Bayonetta's, and he'll always get a job done.
History
Rodin was, once upon a time, one of the greatest generals in Paradiso's forces. Due to unknown circumstances, however, Rodin fell, and his powers were sealed. Much of his background is unknown, but what is known is that he runs a bar called the Gates of Hell, which is based in New York City, very close to the planar edge of Inferno. It's something of a seedy place, but the drinks are good and if you need something with pop, Rodin can get it for you. He lent Bayonetta a hand in her adventures through forging weapons, and even fought alongside her in Inferno for a time during her second adventure, snagging the soul of a demon that Bayonetta had beaten down, the demon Alraune, and infused her soul into a set of whips.
After the events of the second game, Rodin returned to business as usual in New York, though with Bayonetta's disappearance, the fallen angel began doing a little searching...
