Full Name: Robin
Nickname(s): 'The Tactician Magician', 'Tome-Toting Strategist'
Age: 22
Height: Somewhat on the shorter side, around 5'10"
Weight: Fairly light
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Alliance: Heroic
Home: Plegia, then Ylisstol, Archanea.
Franchise: Fire Emblem (Awakening)
Physical Description
Really, describing Robin's outfit with words is kind of tough. It's better to see; check the picture link below.
Weapons and Accessories
Robin has three weapons with him; he has a Thoron tome, a powerful lightning spell. He also has a Levin Sword; an electrically-charged blade that gains power from his magical ability, which he has quite a bit of. Both his tome and Levin Sword can break, however, with overuse. His Bronze Sword that he also carries will not. He isn't sure why it won't break, but he won't complain, certainly.
Abilities/Powers
Robin is a Grandmaster. With this class, he has access to both magic and swords for fighting. His Personal Skill, 'Tactical Strike', operates as follows.
'% Skill chance, when attacking, to nullify the effects of Guard/Attack Stance for the combat. 1/2 Skill% chance to forcibly split up the pair (separating a Guard Stance or forcing an Attack Stance partner away a space)'
He is a skilled tactician, and capable of seeing information at a glance, such as someone's vitality or the effects of terrain; it's a powerful ability of observation.
His aptitude with both swords and magic manifests itself best through his Ignis ability: (Skill)% chance of activating, adding half Robin's strength to damage calculation when using a tome, or magic power when attacking with a weapon.
Weaknesses
Robin is kind of nuts. He's willing to do crazy things when he believes it necessary to win. He's also somewhat trusting and protective, to the point where he will do whatever he can to keep his loved ones safe.
He is also a notoriously terrible cook. The only one who was willing to try a carrot stew he made was Panne... which was the start of his relationship with her.
Skills
Robin knows a thing or two about forging weapons, though he isn't the best at the process. He's also very good at picking up new skills; with a Second Seal, he can take on almost any class and learn their skills.
UPDATE 12/3/17: Robin's skillset is as follows:
His Personal Skill, Tactical Strike, works as follows: '(Skl%) chance to ignore an enemy Stance, (Skl/2%) chance to break the stance after combat'. Robin's skill in combat allows him to see the weaknesses in an enemy's stance and gives him a good chance to work around what they're doing.
His next skill, Veteran, has the following effect: 'When Paired Up, EXP earned x1.5'. Working with others helps Robin grow more quickly.
Solidarity, his next skill, grants +10 to Critical Rate and Critical Evade to nearby allies. Robin's support improves the combat ability of nearby allies, allowing them to strike critically more and get struck critically less.
Ignis, his next skill, has the following effect: '(skill)% chance to add half the unit's Mag or Str to the other stat when attacking'. Robin's magical power can amplify the strength of his physical weapon attacks, but he can also utilize his strength to improve his magical attacks, making him very versatile.
Rally Spectrum, the next skill, allows Robin to magically rouse the spirits of his nearby allies, raising all their stats but their movement by 4 for one turn, within three arms' lengths away from him.
His final skill, Lancebreaker, gives him +50 Hit and Avoid against lance-wielding units. Robin specifically made sure to learn this skill alongside his wife, acknowledging the weakness his typical weapon of choice had.
Personality
Robin can be a bit of a snarker sometimes, but he means well. He has a good heart and is fiercely devoted. He also is willing to make big sacrifices... but only if he's the only one doing it. He refuses to let anyone else die under his watch.
History
Much of Robin's past was shrouded in mystery. When he was found on the outskirts of the Ylissean capital city, Ylisstol, by Chrom, Lissa, and Frederick, he had no memory, save for his name (which earned him Frederick's suspicion), but he quickly proved his mettle, aiding the others in fending off a bandit attack, showing his tactician skills. After joining the Shepherds, Chrom's 'defense force' for Ylisse, Robin ended up in a rather massive series of conflicts, first with the neighboring country of Plegia, then, three years later, with the nearby continent of Valm. Urged onward by a grim warning from the future, Robin worked alongside Chrom to try and prevent the dark future from happening.
During these events, Robin married Panne, the last of the Taguel, a species of rabbit shapeshifters, and their children, a young girl named Morgan, and her older brother, Yarne, both came from the future, alongside the rest of the children who lived in the ruined world.
Grima, the Fell Dragon, was ultimately their last obstacle. Defeating him seemed all but impossible, due to the only thing capable of destroying the dragon being his own power. The Falchion that Chrom wielded could seal him, but... victory seemed impossible. How would the dragon turn his power on himself?
Through Robin. Robin himself was Grima. He went back in time to become the dragon's vessel in the past, but lost his memory in the trip. Chrom's daughter Lucina followed, and intended to kill Robin were it necessary, but it ultimately was not. Robin established himself as being different from Grima, and destroyed the dragon, and himself. ...Robin eventually returned, however. The strength of the bonds forged with the others was a guide to him. He returned without Grima's mark on him, showing that their world was really and truly free.
After the war, Robin became one of Chrom's most trusted companions, acting as the young Exalt's right-hand man and master tactician. As such, when word of an odd portal, separate from the gate of the Outrealms, showed up on the outskirts of Ylisse, Robin was the first to inspect it... and the first to arrive in a strange new land.
Other
As stated before, as this Robin is based off of my own personal playthrough's Robin, he is married to Panne; he is currently a level 1 Grandmaster.
