I'd like to make an abridged series some day and was wondering what I might need for it software-wise. Does anybody know what I need to rip DVDs, what microphone to use, and other such stuff?

I think most people grab Youtube vids or download from somewhere. Then I would think they'd record their voices with the microphone, and put it altogether in Adobe Premiere or AfterEffects (the former, most likely.)

I think they use DVDs, actually; I need something that can take stuff off of DVDs or the internet.

Mmmm... not sure about that. You'll have to ask people who actually know how to make those. XD Becasue I don't have a clue. I imgine Primere would have something to do with it, though.
