"Goodness!" Jolly gasped, then grinned at her extended patronage. "Coming right up, ma'am!"
Banjo sniffled again, staring at the bottom of his mug listlessly. When he glanced up, meeting Nikki's face for the first time, he squeaked and buried his snout back in his mug. He hated being seen like this.

"Thankyooooooou!" Nikki thanked him with her usual overly happy tone. Then she turned to Banjo and gave him kind of a sympathetic/ confused look.

At her welcoming behavior, Banjo flashed a tiny, very tiny smile her way. He tried to compose himself, rubbing his nose and excess tears away.
"So... that's one beer for you..." Jolly unquestioningly slid the beverage Kenny's way. "...and half the menu for you!" he beamed, setting down two full platters in front of Nikki.
Banjo blinked. "Wow. That was fast."
"They're crazy-good chefs in the back, there," Jolly explained.

Nikki acknowledged the smile with a bigger smile of her own...that is until her food was given to her. She instantly shifted her attention the the massive platters of food in front of her face.
"YAAAY!!" she squealed with delight as she began to down the food at incredible speed. Quite surprising considering her slender form, but she's been known to eat a lot of food anyway.

"Uhh... Damn..." said Kenny. "This is just too gross" He said watching Nikki scarf all that food down. Kenny got up and left, but not before having a piano fall on him in traditional Kenny fashion. "Oh my god! They killed Kenny! You bastards!" cried two random voices out of nowhere.

Banjo was honestly more interested in Nikki's behavior. "W-wow... you must've been starving."

Nikki ignored Kenny but looked up at Banjo when she realized he was talking to her.
"Hm? Oh yeah!" She replied through a mouth full of food ", I'm aaaalways hungry!" She continued to stuff her face when she finished talking but this time tried to pay more attention if he were to say something to her again.

The scream belonged to one of the 'crazy-good chefs' Jolly had mentioned. A sound of a whip silenced them and brought a nervous smile to Emma's face. "Um... that's how they sing. Funny, isn't it?"

"Nah, it happens all the time" said Slippy to Jolly. He had just walked in and as of right now was poking at the splat that was now Kenny

Jolly looked between Emma and Slippy. Multiple times. Then he decided not to question anything, putting on a helpless grin. No sense in making things to complicated, no sir.
"Do you... travel often?" Banjo meekly asked. He didn't talk to too many females outside Kaz or Tooty.

"Oh yeah, traveling's all I do! I don't really live anywhere anyway," Nikki replied again sounding really upbeat considering being homeless and on the road isn't generally a good thing.

"I used to, but I retired after... well, it's a long story." Emma shrugged. "Now I run this tavern where adventurers come, get drunk, and make idiots of themselves. Especially Hamson; he's a mean drunk."

"Oh, indeed!" Jolly gasped. "He broke my knees once... (sniffle)..."
"R-really?" Surprisingly, Banjo was more shocked by Nikki's story than Jolly's. "Gosh... that must be hard, but... you seem to be handling it okay."

"What? Oh yeah I'm fine!" Nikki made it seem as if it was nothing at all ", I mean I kinda have to be on the run all the time what with my brother trying to kill me." Once again, she was completely oblivious to the fact that for most people that's also a terrible thing.
