Jolly, a newer bartender of the Tiny Dragon, sighed in pity at the bear collapsed over the counter of the bar. He ventured a pat on Banjo's shoulder as the ursine sobbed.
"Oh, come now, big boy... it can't be THAT bad!" he comforted cheerfully. "Maybe some time apart will do you two some good...!"
"B-but... s-s-she..." Banjo snorted.
Jolly sighed, passing him another ginger beer, which he took a hefty drink from before continuing.
"K...Kazooie said she didn't NEED me anymore..." he whined hopelessly.

Nikki had just recently arrived at the island and had found her way to Bonsai Village. As she walked down the streets, the Tiny Dragon caught her eye for some reason. She wasn't sure why but she was tempted to explore it. Quickly she pushed her way through the doors only to find a little tavern with a bear sobbing his eyes out.
"Um........do you have food?" she asked the bartender in a small voice, feeling a bit awkward.

Jolly looked up at Nikki's entrance, then grinned cheerfully. "Why, of course we do! Sit on down, I'll get you a menu!"
He hopped away quickly, leaving Banjo to sniffle on the countertop, taking another swig of his ginger beer.

Out of the blue and in a puff of smoke, Mumbo the Shaman appeared next to Banjo. He coughed after his appearance. "Mumbo must use less smoke next time." He said. He then looked over at his old friend, Banjo. "Ahh, it's bear! Where is Mumbo's magic stick!?" He demanded.

Banjo sniffled. "...Kazooie took it..." he replied, eyes weling up with more tears. "...and she LEFT ME ALONE!!" The floodgates opened again, and he sobbed twice as hard as before.

There was a sound from one of the rooms upstairs as Emma ran down. "Is everything alright? I was just taking care of a goblin problem." A whiny, foreign voice screamed in pain.
"They never tip." She apoligized. She noticed Banjo crying and felt a dormant sympathetic side that years of thief-training had tried to kill start to emerge. "Are you feeling okay?"

"Not quite," Jolly replied as Banjo kept crying. "His partner just left him. I believe she made an agreement with a shady character, gained new powers, and decided he didn't need this poor fellow anymore."

Mumbo shook his head. "No good. Mumbo need stick back." He said. "Everything could be in danger!" He yelled. "Tell Mumbo where bird is! Need to get backs stick at all cost!"

(Crap almost forgot about this thread >.>; )
Nikki took the menu and looked it over carefully. After deciding what she wanted she glanced back over at Banjo, not quite sure what to say.
"Hmm....can I have-" Nikki began to ramble off half of the things on the menu. Having no food for the past two days can really make someone hungry.
