"Dark Insect Hive 10 meters due north."
Following his radar, his female computeress' voice guiding him like a TomTom, Dexter stepped into the Ghost Town, looking for any signs of the abnormal dark-matter insects he was looking for.
He paused in his step after her last direction. Because 10 meters due north was where the Haunted Manor stood, its grand shadow looming over his short stature.
Only intimidated a second more, Dexter shook his head and stepped inside. Please. There's no such thing as ghosts or spirits. Just tall tales of a superstitious populous. All I have to worry about are the Dark Insects.

(there's a sort of boss character from a game that I would like to bring in in this thread...but I only really want to use him for this and nothing else. Can we forget about registering him cause I really only want to use him this one time ^^; )
Jeff had wandered into the mansion only a few minutes earlier, having no idea there was anyone else even in the ghost town but him. He wasn't sure why but there seemed to be something strange about this place. He wanted to investigate it but he had to admit that he was scared witless. He had faced ghosts before and he even faced the greatest evil in all the universe (Giygas) yet still he was uneasy.
"Man...why am I such a wimp," he gulped. Then the door opened and without even thinking he took off and hid behind some dusty old sofa in the corner.

(no prob! Felix has done that YAAAAAAAAAY You're posting ) "...?" Having being the one to open the door, Dexter glanced inside. He squinted at first, then flipped a portable flashlight out from the side of his glasses. It flashed a blue light, allowing him to glance into the now-lit room as he stepped in past the door. "...it looks like a parlor," he noted to himself. He glanced at his portable GPS. "Computer, download the floor plan of the manor." In a matter of seconds, a glowing, 3D picture of the Manor popped up above the contraption.

"Tell your fortune... only a buck..."
The rambling voice belonged to a suitably rambling figure that stepped out of the house's shadows and right before Dexter. His arm was in a sling and blood-soaked bandages covered his forehead and torso. His shirt and pants were falling apart from months of neglect and bullet holes. His red hair was so dirty that at first it seemed black.

"What??" Dexter glanced past his 3D map and cringed at the newcomer's appearance. "Who...!?"

"Tell your fortune, sonny..." he smiled weakly, revealing a missing tooth. A piece of plastic fell out of his tattered jean pocket; some sort of ID.

Cautiously, Dexter kept his eyes on the fellow as he slowly reached down to take the ID into his hand to examine it.

Jeff peered out from behind the sofa, watching with interest. He wasn't sure what to do so he just continued to listen in on the conversation.

It was a PSId-- the plastic card embedded with psychic energy that was handed out to all Psychonauts. This particular PSId had a particularly horrible picture of a red-haired man. According to the card, his name was Stefan Galochio; Blood-type A-, well-rounded in his psychic talents.

Psychic? Dexter was intrigued, to understate. He had often wondered if powers triggered by a strong mind were possible; now he had a place to start.
He tried to be approachable, motioning the card to the mangled boy between two fingers. "You dropped this, Stefan."

Jeff continued to watch with interest.
Psychic huh? So there's more psychics like my friends... he thought. But his train of thought was broken when he felt a cold chill run up his spine. He turned around to see...
"G-G-GHOOOST!!" he shouted as he jumped out from behind the sofa into the open, aiming his gaia beam (his most powerful laser weapon) at...nothing. "Huh...?"

Stefan simply stared at the plastic card with a confused smile on his face. He didn't say anything for a while. Then, all of a sudden, he looked at Dexter.
"Fortune, sir... only a dollar..."

"...no thank you." Dexter looked him over carefully. Was his sanity as ripped apart as his physical body...?
At Jeff's cry however, he swiftly turned, his own blaster drawn. The two geniuses met eye-to-eye, pausing for a few seconds.

Stefan was able to barely read their minds, but in his current state it was like reading through broken glasses; he couldn't tell if he was thinking himself. But he was sane now, wasn't he? So, so sane...

Jeff stared at Dexter in confusion.
Man...now that I look at him, he kind of reminds me of...me...
Jeff lowered his gaia beam and tried to greet him ", Uhhh....h-hi?" He was never good at introductions...
