"Right. Unless Mandy took them out herself...?" Dexter straightened up at Stefan's sudden screaming. "What on...!?"
"Whhooaaa..!!!" Luigi shook as he felt the disturbance in the house. "W-w-what's going on now??"

Stefan reached the room that the group was hiding behind. He quietly prayed that he wasn't the only one hearing the voice this time as he reached for the doorknob. As soon as he touched it, however, he was shocked by a spark of electricity. "Crap!"
Then the shit hit the fan.
The wall behind Stefan exploded in a burst of wood and metal, sending Stefan stumbling forward in shock. When the psychic turned around he giggled-- he knew he'd see it sooner or later; a small, black vortex floated above the rubble. It hurt to stare at it for too long.
"I've been wondering when you'd show up, Gigyas."

Mandy ignored Dexter's comment, as she listened through the door. "Gigyas?" She thought about this for a moment. She couldn't help but think she had heard that name before...
Wanting to prove to herself that she knew the name from before, shushed the group behind her, "Shut it..." She pressed an ear against the door and listened intently.
Had she not seen Gigyas' name in one of Grim's old books?

"Listen to him, and shut your yap..." Mandy whispered, as she once again listened in closely.
It sruck her in mind; she HAD seen Gigyas' name in one of Grim's old books before! He was a powerful psychic, but he was probably more evil then any foul beast Mandy had yet faced; even more powerful then C'thulu... More... Okay, maybe JUST AS scary, as her trial to claim Horror's Hand.
One thought went through her mind when she thought that.

Having heard Stefan just now, Clay turned to the others and said, "Seems Stefan doesn't like this guy much. Maybe we can help? What do you guys think?"

Mandy flicked Luigi's big nose, "If you scream, and we make it out of the ensuing chase alive... I kill you." She slowly and quietly turned back to the door and listened in closely.
What else had she read about Gigyas? Was there something else in that book that she had read? Something on how to beat this apparition? She thought hard, trying to remember what she had read...
'Think Mandy, think...' What did she see in that rustic old 'Death book' on what killed Gigyas?

Stefan gave the vortex as mean a look as he could. When he got no noticable reaction, he glared angrily. "Fine; you wanna shut up? I'll shut up, too. See how you like that. Silent treatment. Heh." |

"The whole house?" Dexter commented from the back. "No wonder this place seemed so foreboding."
"I KNEW something was fishy about this place!" Luigi would've cried, but whispered instead, due to Mandy's threat. "It wasn't like this when I last came here!"

Mandy growled; had THIS been the reason the scythe hadn't been working as it should? Had her most favored tool been rendered useless by some stupid bag of swirling HOT AIR?
That tore it, it was time to think up a plan. And she wouldn't do it just sitting around here.
Whether anyone saw her was beyond her concern, with a few steps, she slowly backed away from the door, the hallway winding behind her. She thought as hard as she could...
All she needed was a more wide open room, a vent... Something struck in her mind, at that moment...
She would also need a piano.
