Right, so I'm a staff member on this one petsite called Teripets. Lately one of our programmers has been missing. In fact, since October.

Today, someone signed up and posted a thread saying that said programmer had passed away from illness. Apparently this programmer dude had been very sick since October, and had passed away just about a week ago. The dude who signed up to give us this news was friends with the programmer in real life.

If he's just screwing with us, I'm going to be majorly p***ed. I remember when that one dude faked his death on dA and got all of that sympathy and everything, and came back a week later saying that he faked it.
If our programmer friend is dead... Man, that just sucks.

EDIT 2/28: Forgot about editing this... turns out "force_memory" was just trying to screw with us. Our programmer dude was alive and well, just hadn't been on Teri in a while.

If the person was friends with him for real, there are good... or bad, I should say... odds that the programmer in question really did pass away. I do hope he is in Heaven if that is the case.
