Raz nodded. "Yeah, those. We found one at the Fog Temple."
Double D nodded, bringing it out of his shirt, tied to a makeshift necklace he made. "Sasha told me to keep it, so we spread them out. That way the evil ones can't take them all at once."

"His new master may be... The AntiChrist. I don't know how many Christians are in here, but whether he's the AntiChrist or a super devil in your eyes, if he finds out what the jewels are capable of, I can guarantee he'll be after them... And Masahiro could've retrieved the jewel piece from Ruby after he killed her."
I'd watch Eddy if I were you. With the right amount of persuasion, he might turn on you.
(I put that italics there because Masahiro accused Eddy of possibly badckstabbing his friends, yet Masahiro badckstabbed Felix... Oh, the sweet irony.)

"Hey, wasn't Ruby, like, just a little girl?" Raz brought up the question.
"Are you kidding me?" Eddy cut in. "Who in their right mind kills a girl?! Geez... and I thought OUR world was crazy."
Double D sighed as he tucked the jewel away. "These are dangerous times... but at least we were granted ways to fight against it and protect oursevles. That I'm grateful for."
"Amen, Double D!" Ed beamed.

"Ruby was..." Felix sighed and then looked at Eddy. (Oh well, might as well motivate him into remembering.) "Funny... He said you were likely to backstab your friends... But that isn't true... And in the end, he ended up stabbing me... What a sad, ironic coincidence."

Eddy looked at Felix funny. "....HUH?"
"Let it go, Eddy," Double D sighed.
Raz, however, sighed in content from the food he possibly could've stomach. "Ah... alright!" He got up and appraoched the door with a tiny wave. "I'm shoving off. Thanks for the food, Felix."
"See ya, Raz!"
"Good luck in your search! Don't get into too much trouble!"
"Jeez, ADOPT him, why doncha, Double D?"

"Never mind," Felix said when he realized Eddy didn't remember. Better to not open old wounds. But still... Thoughts wandered through Felix's head. What if Masahiro did have Ruby's jewel?

While Felix thought, Raz took his leave. Finally, after cleaning their plates, Ed and Eddy got ready to go too.
"Have fun, you two!"
"Oh, you know it!"
"See ya, guys!"
Double D sighed in content to finally have it quiet, with just him and Felix. He faced the angel. "Well, then..."

Double D smiled. "Not at all," he assured. "We can do that this evening. The others probably won't be back until later. Would you like to go anywhere in the meantime?"

"That sounds lovely." Double D saw the worry in Felix's eyes despite his smile, reading him like an open book.
"Felix..." He took his hand gently. "...I know it's dangerous out there... But just know... that I'll do everything in my power to protect you. I promise."
