There came a knock at the door. Cautiously, Ed answered it. Then he grinned.
"Hiya, Sasha!"
"Sorry for the delay," the Psychonaut greeted, stepping in. "I was tied up... Razputin?"

Raz curled up tighter, drawing away from Sasha. He hated his partner seeing him like this.

"Something's inside him, an evil spirit of sorts, I guess, and it's controlling him," Masahiro said. "We can't get in due to defenses being placed around his mind, but Schrodinger used his power to get in and lost his voice after pentrating te defenses."

"Controling Razputin?" Sasha shook his head. "No, that can't be possible. His mind has the best defense I've ever seen. Whatever's controling him has to be using another method..."
"...um... may I contribute?" Skywise stepped up.
"Hmm?"
"I've seen his condition before... The sick look on his face... I've seen it on my tribemates before... But it's only when they resist recognition or when... someone has their..."
"...soul name?" Double D ventured, gaining a look of surprise from the elf.
"You know of them?"
Double D nodded. "Are you saying it's possible this spirit has Raz by the soul name?"
"More possible than anything else."
"Soul name?" Sasha pondered this. "...interesting. If all that defense goes to his mind..."
"...his soul's completely unprotected."
"Which gave the perpetrator the perfect opportunity to take him over..." Sasha sighed. "Fantastic."

"Well those mind defenses are what's keeping me from seizing control. And none of us know Razputin's soul name," Masahiro said.
Shinichi looked angry, however, which scared Felix a little. "Um... Shinichi... Are you ok?" he sqeuaked.
"To use those sacred names in such a defiling way... It cannot be forgiven! Whoever is doing this to Razputin... I'm going to kill and send straight to Hell!" Shinichi snarled.
"Shinichi is very passionate about soul names. They are secret names God himself grants us, so we angels see it, that should not be known to others save for those who have a connection so close that it can be practically described as or literally..." Masahiro began, and then cut off, looking at Felix, expecting him to finish.
"... Love."
"Precisely!" Shinichi said. "So how did the culprit find out his soulname?! They are supposed to be so secret not even we ourselves know them at first!"
"Maybe your tribesmen do, Sir Skywise, but we angels are not told our soulnames at first. We find them out by our lovers, maybe, if they decide to tell us, only after the bond of love is intimately expressed and true, thus both partner's names being found out. It cannot be false love either... If that were the case, you would not be able to find out," Masahiro said.

Skywise nodded. "That's very similar to how it works for elves; we call it "Recgonition." It's innate; 'soul meets soul when eyes meet eyes...' Only Winnowill was sick enough to use them to her advantage..." He looked over a feeble Raz, shaking slightly. "...it IS unforgivable."
"Then what are we to do?" Sasha questioned. "How are we to penetrate these defenses and drive the spirit away?"
"We'd need a very talented mystic," Skywise replied. "...at least that's what I think we'd need."

"Schrodinger was able to get in. He has the ability to be everywhere and nowhere as he puts it," Felix said.
"A very cryptic way of putting it," Shinichi said.
"When he came out, however, he ended up like Razputin. His voice dissapeared and now he lays there, silent, unable to speak," Masahiro said.

"Bite your tounge, you ignorant scum," Shinichi said, knowing where Trevor was going to go and causing him to get ticked off mentally. "Ed's more intelligent then you think."

"What's your idea, Ed?" Double D questioned.
"Um...." Ed coughed. "I saw this in a movie once... there's a spirit or something controlling him, right? Well, what if we, like, agitate it to fully come out? The way Raz keeps resisting, it doesn't get full control, but what if it did? Then, if we hurt HIM, we hurt IT too, and that'll give somebody the chance to go in and get the spirit out."
(so Rip would get full control (she would speak to them in her own voice, just through Raz), someone would give him, like, a stab, and then those who can will go in and rescue Raz ^^)

"I'll go with you," Sasha offered. "Just in case.I want to make sure his psyche isn't shattering by this point."
(I have something planned... one of the good guys that goes in learns his soul name. That person and Rip then keep trying to get Raz to their side using his name, until he finally snaps, regaining his voice from sheer WILLPOWER, and just WAILING on Rip until she finally leaves.)

"... Tch, true. You have me there... Fine," Shinichi said.
"... It would help my case in both their eyes," Masahiro said, both being Felix and Trevor, if you remember The New Winds.

Fletcher nodded. "That sounds like a plan, then." He looked Raz's way. "Let's hope he didn't hear any of that... I mean, it would be easier if he was cooperating with us, but we can't risk whoever's possessing him to know either."
