Night had wrapped its dark, warm blanket around the apartment complex, a tired community with an early, early bedtime. No need for late-nights here. Gotta get that beauty sleep.
So peaceful... the empty hallways...
Even at the Eds' apartment, the many people who called it home were tucked away in their beds... literally and metaphorically. Panning across the main room, Raz and Fleetfoot shared the couch, and Skywise and his wolf huddled in a corner. Ed was dreaming in his own room, Nazz had settled in comfortably with Eddy, and the main family of Felix, Double D, and Marion were together, far away in a dreamy slumberland.
Yes... everyone was resting up for a bright new day...
...but wait...
According to the dark figure skulking through the halls, it appeared someone in the building was not asleep.
(sound familiar? XD)

Masahiro was not on patrol tonight, so he wasn't expecting the kidnapper to make his move. He was standing on the roof, thinking about what Double D's thoughts had reminded him of. Despite everything he had led himself to believe, he thought the truth still stood. He was a beast, no matter what he did, a mindless beast that could awake any moment... All angels suffered that problem and it was through God that they kept their pureness.
What do I do now?

The figure was swift, his boots clicking across the smooth floors of the building. Getting in was no problem for the intruder; slicing a smooth circle into the glass windows of the lobby and disrupting the security cameras with jamming equipment set up outside, he had easily slipped in.
Approaching a cerain door, he chuckled lowly to himself, picked the lock, and carefully pushed the door open.

Masahiro's ears perked and his eyes narrowed. "There's a disturbence in the air... What could it be?" He immediately jumped off the roof. Spreading his wings, he began to fly around the building, searching for the source of the disturbance.
(He can't find them until Mojo gets away)

The intruder looked inside, assessing his situation. He then removed a thin tube from under his cloak, popped the top, and rolled it out on the floor. A spray of thin purple mist coated the entire apartment, one that left anyone he would mistakingly awaken to drowsy to get up and stop him. It was a small measure of security he had given himself, protected by a gas mask.
With that accomplished, he creaked open the door into the largest bedroom, where, as he expected, laid the main family. Between her two protective parents was cuddled the object of his interest.
In actuality, it didn't matter who he took, as long as it attracted the rest of them to his lair. And frankly, the infant would cause him the least problems.
Her parents deeper in their sleep due to the gas, the figure reached over and easily slipped the girl out from under the blankets and into his dark, furry arms. With amazing agility, he slid the window open hopped out, disappearing into the night.
(Mojo could be in for a rude awakening... if only he knew the powers Marion had inherited... XD)

Masahiro came to the window too late. He could smell the gas before the real reaction would hit him and immediately stopped his breathing. Mojo had left a couple of flaws, but how were you to fix glass when the building itsself was asleep? Then the door was left open. Masahiro walked inside to see Double D and Felix... No Marion.
"!!!" Masahiro immediately took Felix and began to carry him towards the window before jumping out and flying to the ground. He looked back up and frowned. "Sorry guys... Only Felix and I can track her down." With that, he took off, carrying Felix with him.

It wasn't until morning when the gas's effect wore off. Everyone in the apartment seemed most groggy when they woke up, for some odd reason.
"Maybe it was something we ate last night," Raz suspected, yawning.
"Whatever it was, it..." Fleetfoot, as well as the others, jumped when one of the bedroom doors swung open.
"...Double D?"
He was panting, on the verge of a breakdown. "Felix... Marion... they're both gone."

"It's better he remain safe. This is probably what the kidnapper planned."
"BUT WHY MARION?! WHY IN HIS HOLY NAME DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO US?!"
"The reasons are endless. You're a former fallen. You're gay. You go insane sometimes and karma's getting its pay..."
"OK, OK, I GET IT!"
The two had been bickering for a good while now while looking for the kidnapper's lair.

"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT?  " "HOLY SCHMOLY!!!" "WHADDA WE DO!?" Suddenly, the fax machine in the corner buzzed to life, spitting out a slip of paper. Fleetfoot snatched it up, reading the crude, copy-paste letters. Dear super-powered freaks,
I have taken what is most precious to you. The baby is in my hands now, very capable hands, mind you. She will not come to harm, but I will not give her back! Not even if you say please!
You must come get her back yourself! But where, oh where could we be? Think about it! Where else on this tiny island would an evil super-genius simian such as myself build his lair!? Think for yourselves, you puny-brained simpletons!

There was a knock on the door. Then, as if he decided that wasn't smart, 4 kicked the door open and walked in. "What's all the noise? I was trying to watch Jeff feed that Oliver guy."
He suddenly noticed a distinct lack of baby-sound.

"Mojo Jojo!?" Ed gasped "I know that guy!"

"...shut. up."
"No lie, Eddy! He's the main villian in the Powerpuff Girls! I loved that show..."

"A villain from a kid's cartoon show just kidnapped a gay couple's baby and left a ransom note which he signed?" 4 asked skeptically. "Eh, not the weirdest thing I've ever run into. At least it was someone fairly incompetent." The assassin rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "But where could his lair be...?"

"Suspicious place," Felix agreed, looking at the tower that looked like it was built on a... volcano? "This makes no sense at all."
"He's most likely here. Let's go," Masahiro said. Thus the two angels quickly began to climb the stairs.

"Out west?" Fleetfoot asked. "Oof!"
Most were surprised, yet not at the same time, when Double D pushed past him and out the door. With a given destination, he wasted no time.
Everyone looked at each other, then swiftly followed.
