History: Madotsuki is a hikkikomori, which is a person who refuses to leave their house for extremely extended periods of time (6+ months to decades long periods). Some time before her withdrawal into her bedroom, she experienced traumatic events that eventually manifested in her dreams and nightmares, which she started keeping track of in a dream journal. The events as manifested in her dreams are vague, but it can be interpreted that the little girl who turns into a monster when a stoplight is flashed on her was the victim of a car crash, and that all of the phallic imagery, such as a disturbing face that appears after seeing a long pink object on a stairwell, alludes to Madotsuki possibly having been raped in the past.
