Face down in the dirt she said
Good stepped lightly on the lake that was dubbed "Crystal Lake". She was light and was quite sure she was in no danger. Her foot would lightly tap the ice ahead of her, searching for thin spots. Water was her element, though, and if she were to break through there would be no problem. Vampires also didn't require breathing and she was dead cold already. There was truely no danger at all, was there? Her scarlet eyes sparkled as she moved forward again, making her way to the center. A feeling of serenity was in the atmosphere, but she didn't sense anyone else around. So her mind was at peace, and she enjoyed this atmosphere. Maybe she should hang out here? At this beautiful lake? She breathed in the air, even if she didn't really need to breath. There was no other scents that were recent around. It was pretty much the only reason she breathed, to smell for scents. She moved forward again, now in the center.
Good stood perfectly still in the center of the frozen lake. Her eyes gazed down at where her feet stood. What was she going to do now? Find every thin spot, maybe? She had found some already, but there had to be more. The emotional atmosphere was still calm and relaxing. So she guessed she'd try it...

Where am I? Having escaped the clutches of the rogue ninja, Reonu, who had tried to take her back to her masters in exchange for money, Ruby found herself lost in the snow. She was thankful that her friends had gotten her more protective clothes, a red long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes, but she was shivering now. Her tail wrapped around her waist, her fox ears perked. She frowned and stood up. "I hope Kirby won't worry about me... I've got to find a way back."

The emotional atmosphere suddenly changed and Good froze. The atmosphere she felt now was of a girl. Was there mixed emotions? She could tell the girl was cold. Good closed her eyes softly, she would help. Good began to concentrate on her favorite power. The power to control emotions. She sent a calm feeling to the girl, making her feel calm and relaxed. Good figured it would help her. She could make someone feel anything. If someone was angry, she could make them happy. They were happy without a choice while she used it, despite them wanting to be angry. Her elemental control over water was her second favorite.
Turning, Good gazed in the girl's direction, grimacing. Her blood sent was as repulsive as every other female's was. Only male's blood appealed to her. Good felt more at peace with females around. If it had been a male, she probably would've hid. But for now, she'd wait to see if the female approached. All the time Good kept emitting the calm feeling to her.
"This doesn't hurt" she said "I finally had enough."

Ruby felt herself calm down. Why am I so calm all of a sudden? I need to get back to Void City!... Then again, this should probably help me think a little more clearly... Isn't this Crystal Lake? That means Void City is to the south... But I don't know what direction South is at and I couldn't walk there anyway. Were Ruby not in the middle of Good's calm spell, she would've probably started crying at this point, but the ten-year-old merely sighed in defeat. "Well this isn't good. If I don't find a way to get back to Void City, I'm certain someone's going to start worrying about me."

She smiled softly as the atmosphere remained calm. It helped her relax more. With an effortless hop, she was suddenly not on the lake anymore. She was on the ground surrounding it. Good moved forward slowly and warily. She was heading in the girl's direction, which wasn't hard. It was hard to miss the repulsive scent of her blood. Good barely touched the ground, it seemed, as she moved. Her movements were lithe and dead silent. Seeing her, Good noticed she was a little girl. Her eyes softened and she watched. Kitsune ears and tail? "U-um...excuse me..." she said quietly in her melodic voice. Her scarlet eyes blinked gently at her in a friendly manor. "A-are....you lost...?"
"This doesn't hurt" she said "I finally had enough."

Ruby looked up at Good and her eyes widened. She was... beautiful. Very, very beautiful. She shook her head and looked up at Good with normal eyes. "Y-Yeah... I-I am lost," she said.

Good loved kids and she didn't fear them. So her shyness and fear didn't haunt her. Her sweet and polite part of her personality was free to come forth. Her eyes remained soft and she stopped using her emotional power. She let the girl free of the power to feel what she wished. "W-ere are you going...?" Good asked curiously. "I-I could escort y-ou there...? I-if you want...w-hat's your name?" She smiled sweetly, "my a-lias is Good...." "This doesn't hurt" she said "I finally had enough." [/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]

"Oh... my a-alias is Ruby," Ruby said. Good... Ruby... Both had the same past, though one managed to escape hers ten years sooner due to the strength and valiancy of her friends, male and female... She was not as shy about males as Good was, though she would hide from evil ones like Dementio or Reonu, and males like Light and L, though L was good, made her shiver with fear. "I'm t-trying to g-get back t-to Void City," she said.

"T-hat's nice..." Good murmured quietly, smiling softly. "Ruby...a-a nice alias..." She bent down to Ruby's level, gazing into her eyes. "I-if you want...I-I'll take you there..." She held out her hand a bit with a small smile.
"This doesn't hurt" she said "I finally had enough."

"Ummm... i-it wouldn't be t-too much t-trouble... w-would it?" Ruby asked, her eyes shifting downwards, her hands behind her back, hiding the ruby ring she wore on her finger.

"N-no trouble a-t all!" Good responded, offering a warm smile. "J-ust hop on my back and I-I'll take y-ou there." She blinked as Ruby looked down. She was so much like her, it was strange. Good had never met anyone that stuttered so much like her.

"Y-Your back... A-Are you s-sure?" Ruby asked. She couldn't understand why Good, a total stranger, would go out of her way to help her.

"H-hai!" Good responded with a cheerful nod. "I-I'm very s-ure...w-e'll be there s-soon!" She grinned at her, staying kneeled and waiting. When and if Ruby got on her back would she stand up.

Ruby looked down, unsure of what to do or say, but she ended up placing herself on Good's back softly. She was light, very light, and her kitsune tail remained wrapped around her waist.

Good stood up, "h-old on v-very tight...a-and close your e-yes if y-ou want." She turned towards the way to Void city. Her hands gently held onto Ruby's legs to help keep her on. With a smile and a sigh, she took off. Everything around her was a blurr, but she could still see clearly where she was going. Though, she wasn't quite sure Ruby could. The girl was probably scared, but Good had warned her. She wasn't going to stop till they reached Void city, which wouldn't take long. She was running effortlessly, hardly touching the ground still. There was no sign of fatigue or slowing. "This doesn't hurt" she said "I finally had enough." [/right][/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]
