Physical Description: Yusuke looks like most average students in his high school. Low cut black hair with a Widow's Peak, a few strands falling into his face. Brown eyes, a usually fierce look adorning his face. A medium/light build, hiding his fighting prowess. Usually wears his green school uniform, though has been known to wear a sleeveless, yellow shirt and a pair of blue jeans during tournaments and whatnot.
Weapons: N/A
Abilities/Powers: He can use a small variety of Rei attacks. The Reigun, also known as the Spirit Gun, the Spirit Shotgun, Spirit Gun Double, and his more recently learned Spirit Cuffs.
Skills: He's actually rather good at fighting without his Reigun.
Personality: Brash, bold, angry, these are all words to have been used to describe Yusuke. Although, he does care deeply about his friends. Even Kuwabara.
History: Yusuke lived a pretty normal life. His mother had a rather... interesting job, his school thought he gave It a bad name, he had few friends and numerous enemies, and his girlfriend and he were in a love/hate relationship. The usual. Until he died, saving a young boy from being hit by a car. He found himself dead... but still lingering in the world. Botan, the personification of Death, was there to greet him. He, apparently, had a test he could take, to see if he was worthy of getting his body back. It was a dangerous journey, but he passed. With a kiss from Keiko, he was given his body back.
He'd thought things were returning to normal, but no. Soon he was met with Botan... again. He was given yet another choice. Become a spirit detective, or lose his soul. It was one of the requirements for Koenma saving Keiko from a fire. And so he accepted. His first job was to stop a trio of criminals whom had stolen King Emma's 3 prized items. He first defeated the larger one, Gouki. Then he went for Kurama, whom made a deal with him. He needed the mirror to save his mother's life. Which would have required him holding it for another 3 days. So he was allowed this 3 day reprieve. Soon, however, Yusuke realized that Kurama would have to sacrifice his own life. It didn't sit well with Yusuke. So, he decided to offer up HALF of his life so only HALF of Kurama's would be taken.
And then he went for the last criminal, Hiei. It was a tough battle, but with a little aide from Kurama, Yusuke managed to secure the last item. All was calm for a while. Before he was presented with his next case. Earn Master Genkai's secret technique before a horrible demon known as Rando managed to. He did. In a very unconventional way. But he did. After training with Genkai for a while, he was presented with yet ANOTHER case. To secure a whistle. It was being guarded by 4 horrible demons. For this case, he received help from Kurama, Hiei, and Kuwabara. They fought their way through the castle, and secured the whistle.
It wasn't long before he had to venture into the otherworld again. This time with Kuwabara. To save Yukina... who also just happened to be Hiei's sister. She cried pearl tears. It was an easy fight inside, until they made it to Toguro. He was rather tough. In the end, Yusuke shot Kuwabara towards him, Kuwabara's sword piercing his tough hide. They eventually secured Yukina, who healed their wounds.
Soon, however, Yusuke, Kurama, Hiei, and Kuwabara were forced to battle in the Dark Tournament. In the end, it was Yusuke versus Toguro, with Yusuke reigning superior.
