(Continuation of "Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy"
And by the way, whosever idea it was to add a Plaza to Void City, yay for you! ^^)
The plaza of Void City was abustling as usual. Its inhabitents looked quite ordinary, no matter the diversity of species from all the worlds that gathered here.
With that in mind, it should be no surprise that no one really noticed a boy genius flying in on an advanced jetback, a pink-haired girl hovering beside him. The pair headed for a walking plateau, and people nonchalantly moved aside to give them a clear landing. Dexter swung his legs forwards, the thrust from his jetpack slowly lessening. The flames disappeared as the two touched their feet on the tiled stone, and Dexter unhitched the anti-gravity belt from Chibiusa's waist.
"Welcome to Void City."

"Wow, this looks like Crystal Tokyo during a galactic ambassador session!"
Well, she'd done it now. Not only had she revealed the name of her home, but she'd indicated that it spanned more than just the Sol System. Although Dexter had seemed to already acknowledge she was from a different world. And his world was known for gettings its fair share of oddities. So really, it wasn't that big of a revelation.
Except to Chibiusa, who caught herself, and had her hands clamped over her mouth. Okay, she'd gotten too comfortable around Dexter...

Dexter turned to her, looking at her in a new light. "Crystal Tokyo? Galactic ambassador?" To her surprise, he only smirked. "There's more to you and your world than I thought." He then shook his head. "No matter, many are like that around here."

Chibiuusa facepalmed but nodded, "Uh... yeah. 'm from the 30th century."
She still didn't reveal her age or the fact that she was the crowned princess and as such an important member of the galactic government. No sense in revealing everything about herself. And the only thing more shocking than that would have been that she was what animation in the 20th century had called a "magical girl". Not that it was that shocking to anyone who knew about rulers in her world.
She had heard some people call it a form of "Divine Right", but she had always felt that those most capable should lead. And the most capable of defending a planet were, after all, Sailor Soldiers.
"I never knew there were other dimensions before. Although I've heard some people consider other star systems to be other dimensions. I think it was because it was so far away to most people."
Chibiusa was referring to Pharoah 90 and the Tau star system, but she didn't say that part out loud.

"30th century!?" Dexter gawked, calming down. "Well, no wonder." He mused on her next words. "An interesting theory you bring up. That may be the case in some worlds; the universe is so vast, after all."

Chibiusa nodded, "Ah, so... I've got nothing better to do. Where's this lab of yours?"
Oh jeez, that's cool. Not. Still, he might be able to figure out how to get me back home... Oh!
Chibiusa looked back at Dexter, "You're like a scientist, right? Do you know about these creepy black insect things?"
She held out her hands to indicate the size of what she had encountered. They had been far too large, and far too, well, dark, to be normal insects. If Dexter knew about them, maybe he knew more things. They would have reminded her of Chaos, but there was something decidedly otherworldly about them. In light of recent events, maybe they were from another dimension... even this dimension.
(OOC: The Sailor Moon franchise's Chaos and Hades' Chaos are not quite the same thing. XD)

Dexter straightened up. "My lab? Well, I have a temporary set-up in the hotel. I was driven out of the Industrial Park by a rude bunch..." He did a double-take at her next mention. "Ah! So you've ALSO heard of the Dark Insects, have you?"

It's not a total lie. I can't believe I almost said Sailor Soldiers... I've already slipped up enough! I just hope he doesn't question it... I did stumble...

Dexter nodded. "They are mainly the reason I am here. After hearing of the destruction they were causing across the cosmos, I had to investigate for myself." He mused for a moment. "I know little of the Dark Insects myself, but my studies have concluded that they devour dimensions in swarms, and they do so with stomachs lined with dark matter. As to why they were released, and by whom, is what I've been pondering."

"They're that dangerous? I wonder if Crystal Tokyo was hit by a small swarm then. Our soldiers fought them off, after all. Even if I did get tagged by them as they fled. I wonder if they're connected to Chaos? Oh, Chaos is this name given to this really evil force in the galaxy. Its kind of responsible for all evil," said Chibiusa.
Not even noticing that "our" soldiers and the fact that them fleeing knocking her into a portal indicated she might be more involved with the military of her world than she was letting on.

"Do you mean for Chaos being responsible? That's not an issue, Chaos has been around since the birth of the galaxy. Every once in a while it'll act up, but someone's always there to fight it."
Chibiusa was proud of herself. Not only had she not stumbled, but she had not mentioned that it was always Sailor Soldiers and the Phantom Silver Crystal that ended up saving the day. Even her own Pink Moon Crystal was merely an advanced form of that holy stone.
(OOC: The Japanese name is "Maboroshi no Ginzuishou" which can mean Illusionary or Phantom Silver Crystal. Fans are often divided, but due to real gems and many other indications that would take too long to explain, I prefer to use the "Phantom" translation. In any case, its not "Imperium" *cough**hack*DUB*hack**cough*. Its often shortened to Ginzuishou, or Silver Crystal)

Here, Dexter grew puzzled. "Chaos? I haven't heard of that force before. Hmm, I'll have to look into the legends of the Dark Insects again... another trip to Bonsai Village, it seems..."

Well, Chibiusa wasn't the greatest liar. And she totally blew that explanation. Her attempt to cover how she knew about Chaos had crashed and burned. It hadn't sounded in the least truthful.
Please please buy it. Usagi was mad over showing Hotaru I was Chibi Moon. Even if she forgave me after I told her I wanted a friend. Please buy it, Chibiusa begged in her thoughts.

"Mm, I see." Dexter had no knowledge of Sailor Moon to speak of, so he figured Mercury was just a name used in her world. Maybe his sister would know about it, but he was more of the Star Trek kind of fanboy. So he didn't give it a second thought. "Well, I'll have to head off east pretty soon, but I think I'll stop by the hotel to drop off my findings from the Fuzzy Isles. You're welcome to join me, but if you were hoping to learn more about where you are, I suggest going to City Hall for information."
