"Not like you're such a master of name..." Mandark mumbled through Zero's laughter.
"For your information, Mandark is a very respected, nay, FEARED name where I come from. That fool Dexter quakes in his boots at the very MENTION of it. Even my love Dee Dee slightly fears the name MANDARK!" So yeah. He was now in full ranting mode. Because we all known Mandark likes narming it up.
"Alright, Mandark... keep your cool... you... just... try not to destroy the sentient virus." More internal dialogue, woooo.
"I'm rather curious. How did a sentient program such as yourself make it to the island? I would think they would have data shields or some such protection put up..."

Zero scowled, "Okay, you come up with a better name after being sealed for ten billion years. Then we'll talk." He listened to Mandark rage about Dexter and Dee Dee. He actually had a few smart alec comebacks of his own to those, especially since it had finally hit him why Mandark looked familiar, but they all went out the window at Mandark's next question.
Actually, it was quite the good one. He hadn't really thought about it, it hadn't struck him as important. Really, it had been a good thing. The PokeDestined, at least the one that applied to him, was a phenomena in only one reality, after all. If she couldn't get to him, he was much better off.
"Not really sure. Not a big deal though, doesn't effect my goals. Just rearranges them a bit," he replied. He seemed to be off in thought somewhere though.

"You haven't told me exactly what your goals ARE. Mind you, I haven't told you MINE, either. But I'm curious. What would you, a program capable of taking out the world's ENTIRE power grid, need with this island? A way to reach other dimensions' power grids, or mere boredom?" Mandark questioned. The virus was getting more and more interesting.
"Or are you one of those chaotic neutrals with no want to rule the multiverse?"

Zero didn't answer immediately. Problem was, he wasn't at the power level when the Legends and Chosen sealed him away. No where near. Then, he could simply look at something and wipe it out of existance, only those with the power of the gods even stood a chance of dealing with it. Now...? Well, the event at the television station had been more luck than anything else. Whether he wanted to admit it or not.
A few silent seconds had passed before he finally spoke again, "I'm just out to cause havoc. Doesn't really matter where I do that, right? What're you after? Something terribly cliche like world domination?"
It was a partial truth... and it didn't reveal his weaknesses, either. He hoped his little jab at the end would take the focus off him. He had to be honest, he didn't know much about the cartoon the kid originated from or the game his current design resembled. He had technically awakened in Japan and as such had a closer relationship with their pop culture.

"Not... entirely, no. It's more... I don't know why I'm here, to be honest. I would assume that it's just natural human curiosity. Just... it's HERE so I have to explore it. Perhaps meet a few scientific minds from all over the multiverse." Mandark responded, scratching his head a bit. He wasn't entirely sure of his motives there, to be honest.
"World domination is an option, but one that bores me. I've reached a point where I'm more interested in the scientific nature of things rather than ruling them." Mandark responded.
...granted it was partially lie, as the reason he wanted to clone Zero was so that he could lord it over Dexter. And possibly with some world domination in there...

"Well, I guess I'll give you credit for that then. Most of your type seem so obsessed with world domination they can't see the nose in front of their face," Zero winced a bit and looked around, "Hey, you wouldn't have some spare files around, would you? That you wouldn't mind getting destroyed?" The place Zero was holding was still "bleeding" in its own fashion, with distortion floating out. A good eye could have caught that part of his form was wavering a bit, an indication that he was still having to work on maintaining the human form.
Yeah. Zero was totally asking permission. What he didn't say was that if Mandark said no, he'd go on a deletion rampage anyways. And probably target files more important than any throwaways he might have. But for now he'd be polite about it.
If Mandark wasn't too busy being proud of himself he might also realize Zero had just implied where he got at least some of his power from. By absorbing data he deleted. Pretty good thing to know for someone wanting to duplicate the virus, really.

"I... suppose I have a few I could spare, sure. I think the only files I have containing pictures and videos of my family and I together would suffice." Mandark responded, gesturing towards one of his many monitors.
Yes. He'd just implied that family photos and vacations were junk. He's just THAT... okay, awesome isn't the word. Cruel, heartless, these all apply.
"So it gains energy from the files/beings it deletes... interesting. So if I send it to Dexter's lab, it would gain power from... yes. Yes, this could work."

Zero nodded, actually limping over to where Mandark had indicated. His human form flickered a few times as he walked. Well, flickered wasn't really quite the right word. The digital break down one might see on a bad digital television connection was comparable, just without the colors. It would only hit a part of his body at a time, but it was quite obvious he was a hurting unit. He basically melted into data and went into the monitor indicated.
His first reaction once inside the system was a surprise at the residual of virus. He recognized the energy from the little known fact that programmers put a bit of themselves into each written program. Not in terms of energy or life force, but more of a signature. It wasn't anything any computer could read or pick up on, but to a sentient virus with enough "life" to interact with other sentients... it was there. Sort of like a psuedo-technological mixed with metaphysical fingerprint if you will.
Yeah, totally not something any normal human would understand or be able to clearly explain. Think of it as digital DNA and leave it at that.
It was that odd alien's program, but beyond noting that Zero moved on. He was rather amused at how sparce the files were. At least this human had no pointless attachments to his family. The pictures of young "Susan" were a little... well, lulzy as far as Zero was concerned. To "normals" it would have probably been disturbing if you interacted with Mandark as a real person and not a cartoon antagonist...

"Excellent... if all goes to plan, the program will leave a bit of residue behind. And if he doesn't, well... there's a possibility he'll set off a few of my scanning programs. And if THAT fails... well, I can just make up some lie about scanning for spyware or some such." Mandark thought to himself.
"If you can delete a few of those with me in a sunflower dress first, that would be exemplary." Mandark stated.
Yes. He used the word 'exemplary' as many times as most people used 'good' or 'great'.

Zero had no problem with Mandark's request. He actually intended on leaving none of the files there. The teen had made it quite clear he would gladly burn the files at a stake, so Zero was breaking them all down.
And actually, his "bleeding" was causing an effect Mandark would find most beneficial. Even if Zero had been trying to keep the data bleed to a minimum, some would have... "stained" the programs around himself. And he wasn't even concerned with it. The idea of him being cloned was never anything that had even occured to Zero. It was so ridiculous to him as to be a foreign concept.
By now, all of the data had been fragmented, and most of it was gone. Including what few residuals of Chip's virus that had been stubbornly clinging to the hard drive after Mandark's clean up. Zero had done that as a favor, actually. Because he had indeed gotten enough of the data figured out to realize what Chip had done. He found it rather humorous and told himself he would have to compliment the odd entity on it if they ever met again.
About the only thing Zero had never been acccused of was being sane.

"Excellent. When he leaves or when I get a bit of time alone, I'll start the process. It shouldn't take long, if everything goes right." Mandark continued his internal dialogue, knowing that talking to his computer screen would have been a BIT odd.
Just a bit.

It was around that time that Zero rematerialized, quickly taking the human form. The difference from before was night and die. He looked over at a bit of torn fabric and held up his opposite arm, allowing the distortion to fix it.
He turned to Mandark to thank him when he paused. Okay, now he was a master of psychopathic looks, but he also wasn't human. Probably a good thing, had he been Mandark might have scared him, "Hey, you alright? You look like you're about to hack a baby to pieces and have a blast doing it."
The most disturbing part of all that is Zero wasn't being judgmental. As if he had no problem with that kind of act. Well, actually, he didn't. Would have found it pointlessly messy, but beyond that... have I mentioned how twisted Zero is in the past five minutes?

"Oh, me? I'm just... exuberant that you deleted those horrid files of my parents and I. Really. I'd thank you right now if it wouldn't be horridly out of character." Mandark responded, creepy smile of creepiness not leaving his face.
"Not to be... rude, but would you mind going to my lower lab for a bit. My robots have to clean the lab and they're EXTREMELY terrified of viruses. They may go into attack mode, and I don't wish for any more of my stuff to be destroyed."

Zero raised an eyebrow. A blind and deaf man could see Mandark had something up his sleeve. Not to mention was lying in probably the most obvious manner possible. It was to Mandark's advantage how little Zero cared about the actions of humans. After staring Mandark in the eye for a solid minute he shrugged, "I don't know what you're up to, but somehow I think its going to blow up in your face. You said downstairs? Sure, why not. Try not to do anything too idiotic. Don't think I won't destroy your system if you get on my nerves too much."
Zero turned towards the stairs and began walking off. It hadn't sounded like a threat. The deadpan delivery was quite sincere. Actually, Zero was really curious what Mandark was up to. So he'd stay in the lower lab rather than leaving like he had planned. The teen was rather interesting to observe, if nothing else.

Mandark was, quite literally, jumping for joy once Zero left the room. It was here. The tool he needed for world conquest was here. All he had to do was put in a few codes and pull the lever. He practically FELL into his chair, typing away furiously at his computer. Various strings of code and the like went across his monitor screen. All he had to do now was pull the lever...
...after a good gloat, of course.
"MUAHAHA. MUAHAHAHAHA. MUAHAHA. MUAHAHAHAHA." Mandark couldn't stop himself from bursting into his usual maniacal laughter. And then... well, then his music restarted...
...and he found himself out of his chair, doing something similar to 'The Robot'.
'DO DO DO DO, DO DO, DO DO DO DO, DO DO. DO DO DEE, DO DO.' Is what blared out of his monitor. Yes. Mandark had a monitor purely for music. Don't YOU?
"MUAHAHA. MUAHAHAHAHA. MUAHAHA. MUAHAHAHAHA." Yes. He was turning his laughter into basically a SONG. It was how he celebrated, sue him.
And then he pulled the lever. The chamber next to him started to glow a faint color. It seemed... pink, perhaps. He couldn't tell. It would probably be a couple of posts before the Zero-Clone actually materialized, in any case.
And then the boy grabbed his bubble pipe, a fez, and took a seat in his extremely comfortable chair. Best to look relaxed for first impressions...
...until he became extremely giddy again and started shaking.
"NOBEL PRIZE, and love and affection from Dee Dee, HERE I COME!" Mandark exclaimed. It probably went unheard over the roar of his machine, mind you, but... still...
