That Kid was pulled from his book reading-induced stupor as a hand grasped around his throat. Not tight enough to kill him, but he was having trouble breathing and staying conscious, at the moment.
"I thought we were... okay..." He gasped out for a moment.
"See? SEE? He's attacking the chosen one! Look what you did!"
"What I did? It was YOUR idea to reincarnate him at this point in his life in the FIRST place."
"Oh great, give away all the mystery."
"Shaddup, you."
"Listen, I'll try to negotiate. You... do whatever it is you do."
"Alrighty. Doot do de doot de doot de deeeee..."
"Listen. I know you're a bit... testy, because of that program you were in. But don't take it out on the child. He has a purpose to fulfill. After that, you can do whatever you want. But I will not allow you to kill him yet. If I have to awaken his potential manually, I will. But for now... back off?" Said voice didn't sound very confident, but... would YOU, with all the singing?
"Doot doo..."

Yami twitched at the mention of the program, but instead of giving the response the spirits probably wanted it meant he tightened his grip more, "What do you know of that," he was growling. Literally, making his speech a bit hard to follow, "And speak quickly, this boy can't last forever like this."
Uh yeah, now was the time for the spirits to pick their words carefully.

"We exist in many planes of existence. We know the basics of it, at least. And it's pretty safe to assume you were part of it." Said voice responded.
"Yeah. We know what you did last Summer."
"Losing... air... initiating... Shatner... speak..." That Kid mumbled.

Yami growled, but no words this time. It was rather animalistic. He turned to the kid and glared. It wasn't really fair to take it out on the kid, whose eyes looked about ready to gloss over. He tsked and chucked the kid towards the grave. It likely meant his head would impact with it, he'd fall into the hole the spell had created, or both. The glare in his eyes died down and he forced his human form to surface before storming off. He'd stick to back alleys until he could get some new clothes.
He'd ignored the spirit's attempts to be sarcastic. If these two were the force chosen to save the world, they needed to get their act together and fast. But he was in a pretty bad mood and needed some rest...

So, one of two things could be noted about the spell the boy could now read. It was either the Spell of Coincidence, or the Spell of Flight. Or both. Because his latent instinct kicked in and he mumbled the words written, stopping his decent towards the magic grave. In fact, he seemed frozen in mid-air for a minute. Before he spun a bit, glancing around.
"Woah... I can fly... I can fly! Josah for the win!" Totally not an excuse for the author to finally use his name.
