Hiya! I've been looking for a beta reader for this one fanfiction and have been having a heck of time finding anyone! So I figured I might as well try here.
For one, its actually related to the boards. XD Me and FF decided to write a fanfiction loosely based on our favorite plot on sight. Right now its mostly just me writing, but we plan on turning it into a private RP (no, you can't join in. It'll probably be over dA notes) to allow things to develop. For one, its set in an alternate Japan - Things like school and the language barrier will be occurring, so thank goodness they all speak Japanese. XD
So yeah, its a crossover focusing on Persona 3, Persona 4, Devil Survivor, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Some stuff draws from earlier Persona games, though.
I want to stress this, and its the reason I've avoided asking here: The events of the board have little to no impact on the butterfly effect-like changes that will be made in the fic. Do NOT ask to join our plot just to get "featured" in the fic. Felix will be mentioned in the Author's Notes of the fic for coming up with the Duelist arcana, and NN1 and Saturn will get honorable mentions for running and creating DC respectively - No one else will be mentioned!
So, I'm looking for a person with a good grasp on English. I'm looking for a bit of a grammar nazi here. I will be using your posts on site as a gauge. Some of the people on this site aren't good enough with English for me to let Beta. I'm also not looking for someone who will be nice. I want brutal, folks. No "It looks fine!" type responses! I highly doubt the entire thing is fine. I want checks for flow and clunkiness, as well. - Despite being brutal, one needs to accept if I say that it was intended to be that way.
Also, don't worry about the Japanese words involved (names like Minato, place names like Gekkoukan) - As with all my fics I use the translated terms (Millenium Items not Sennen Items), although the cards Yuugi uses will use their Japanese names (Black Magician, not Dark Magician) - Translations and guides for things like this will be provided, and I'll provide a seperate cheat sheet for Japanese words like Gekkoukan.
Anyhow, anyone? I'm working on doing a final edit pass on the first chapter as we speak. I'm not gonna let the lack of a beta prevent progress anymore.
