Himitsu had been working on something she didn't want Eriol to know about just yet in the backroom after setting Kaini up in bed. For whatever reason, she could keep track of how much longer a particurlar Dark Hour was going to last. It wasn't time sense in that sense, more like being attuned to the fading energies of the Hour. She allowed the effects of the shop to hide her work in progress around the time Eriol began to stir.
When the Hour ended, she had reached the exit of the back room. She stepped out just as Eriol had gotten back to sweeping. It probably startled the doll, considering she had said she was going out and had propped the door open last time he saw her. Actually, it was the first time she had allowed the visual cues to contrast in such a way. She knew she'd have to tell Eriol now that one who was awake during that time was in the shop...
(OOC: If you want to end it, feel free to do so at any time. I think a few more posts are needed for Mitsu's explanation towards Eriol and perhaps reintroductions.)

Eriol jumped and turned around to look at Himitsu. "H-huh? Ms. Himitsu?" he asked, obviously forgetting or probably ignoring what she'd said before about just calling her Mitsu. He seemed rather flustered and confused, and kept looking between the door he'd seen her exit in, and the door she'd just come in through. "How did you-- I mean, how could you--" he pulled off his hat (obviously it was NOT glued on after all) and scratched his head. "I'm confused."

Himitsu nodded, "It's understandable. The explanation is a little confusing, but I guess the simplest way would be that there is a hidden hour between one day and the next that you are unable to function in thanks to your construct relying on mostly technology to function. Kaini is in a spare room I set up as well, so please do not be startled when he wakes up in the morning. Are you alright, by the way. He accidentally tripped over you during that time."

Eriol tilted his head to the side. "...Hidden hour? Oh. Okay then." Whatever Ms. Himitsu said, he supposed. He went back to sweeping. "I'm just fine. It takes more than someone falling on me to break me." Just to prove his point, he held up one of his hands, showing the slightly messed up joint on one finger, and then bent it. "I'll just fix it and my foot in the morning."
He looked up again. "Ms. Himitsu, you should go to bed. You're alive, so you can't stay up this late."

Actually, Eriol was quite right. Himitsu was exhausted. She opened her mouth to argue with how he was addressing her, but sighed and nodded. She was going to break him of that habit one of these days. Himitsu-san would be one thing, but it seemed silly to speak so formally in such a non formal language. Well, Eriol's Creator had managed to keep him polite, in any case.
"Alright, then," she finally conceded, heading towards the back room. It was no lie that the shop was larger on the inside than the outside, but unless one knew the shop well it was impossible to find all the hidden routes. -----
It was four in the morning when she got out of bed. She'd picked up various tricks over the years that meant she didn't need as much sleep as most. And actually, while she was still a little bit tired she needed to make her point that she wasn't going to take it easy on Kaini. She walked out of the backroom, glancing around. Eriol must have gone to the room she set up for him. She walked over towards a different area of the shop.
Kaini was sound asleep. She smiled gently. The teen wasn't used to the exhaustion factor the Hour was known to cause. It was a time when humans weren't even supposed to be active, so it was understandable. Himitsu pulled out a parchment of paper. She was well aware how it resembled the power of someone a common aquainance of hers knew used, but it was far less permanent. A sort of temporary one shot number, and these papers were hard as hell to make. She tossed it against the wall just above Kaini and chanted something in some unrecognizable tongue and a skeletal bat the size of the infamous flying foxes appeared. She quickly ducked out of the room, as the thing would attack the first thing it saw.
Kaini was... in for a rude awakening. As the thing chomped down on his arm with its bone fangs, Kaini jerked awake screaming bloody murder... and likely waking everyone else in the building. Blood was already streaming out of the holes in his arm that still had teeth in them.
Himitsu had her back against the door. She winced as he screamed, well aware Eriol and Palette were going to show up soon. The thing she had summoned would last for a maximum of five minutes, hopefully it wouldn't kill Kaini in that time. She was prepared ot bail his ass out of the fire if it came to that.

Palette groaned and climbed out of bed. Someone was yelling. She had just arrived in some chick's house the day before, and someone was screaming bloody murder now. She checked her watch. And it was four in the morning. This better not be a regular occurance. Muttering several expletives to herself, Palette walked down the hallway. and saw Himitsu standing up against a door. "...I want to know, and yet I know that asking would be a baaad idea." She facepalmed. "Okay, what the hell is going on in there. It's four AM, I'm trying to get some sleep, and someone's screaming."
Eriol had too made his way down to Kaini's room, but said nothing. As it was, he'd made some rudimentary repairs to his broken finger joint.

Kaini basically managed to flail the monster off his arm. Of course, this meant it tore out of his flesh, and he was bleeding rather profusely. As in if he didn't stop it soon there was a fair chance of him passing out in a few minutes. Unlike Keiichi and Naoya, he didn't get the concept of his COMP being his lifeline. That's right, the idiot had turned it off last night. And he also didn't have the battle conditioning his brother and cousin had, so it didn't occur to him that grabbing the COMP and turning it on was a good idea. No, what seemed like a good idea to him was to start throwing things at the monster. Which came down to things like paperback books and tissue boxes. Annoyances that were just succeeding in pissing the summoned creature off. -----
"Sink or swim," Himitsu replied. She wanted to facepalm as she heard the sound of a tissue box hitting a wall, "Excuse me while I go play lifeguard."
Himitsu yanked open the door and deftly dodged a few projectiles. Kaini stopped mid-throw and tried to shout something between a panicked warning and a panicked help me at Himitsu. She twisted in an gymnastics like fashion to avoid the bat as it flew at her. She grabbed the paper off the wall and yanked it off, ripping it into tiny pieces. The bat creature vanished and she glanced down at the blood that was on the floor. As it was, Kaini was already suffering the effect of blood loss. She muttered as she grabbed the pillow, yanking the case off and quickly making a makeshift turniket.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?" Kaini finally managed to shout, causing Himitsu to yank harder on the pillowcase bandage as a silent cue for Kaini to shut the hell up.

Before Himitsu ripped up the tag from where the bat had come, Palette had managed to get a glimpse of it. To put it lightly, she'd not expected to see a literal bat out of hell in the room, attacking Kaini. She jumped back as the bat disappeared, and Eriol edged past.
"Do you require help, Ms. Himitsu?" Eriol asked.

"Go get my some alcohol," she glared at Kaini as he tried to argue that it would sting, "You deserve it for how terribly you handled that."
"That... was in no way NORMAL!"
Himitsu gestured to the COMP, still where he had set it on the nightstand the night before, "And angels giving you glorified gaming systems and telling you to save the world via them is?"
Kaini looked frightened. There she was, once more knowing far more than she should. He couldn't come up with anything to say, but a thought crossed his mind. How had she known how to get rid of the monster?
"W-wait... you know... I mean... you.... you didn't summon that, did you!?" Kaini was trying to pull away now.
Himitsu sighed as she finished tying up the pillowcase, "I didn't expect you to fail so badly. I hoped you'd at least grab for the COMP," she turned her head and looked dully at it, "Which you don't appear to even have on. That piece of technology is going to become your lifeline. Always keep it on the way a fighter is always armed. You never know when you'll be attacked."
"Fuck this! I'm not staying for you to attack me again!" Kaini wasn't generally one who cussed, but now seemed the appropriate moment. However, he wasn't moving.
Himitsu nodded, "As I told you, I will not force you to stay. But do you think a demon would politely wake you up before attacking? Do you think that in your current state you stand a chance against Naoya? Or of saving your brother?"
Kaini hesitated, "B-but...."
"My training will not be easy. I informed you of that already. However, it will give you a fighting chance," Himitsu turned towards Palette, "I'm sorry dear, did I scare you at all?"

Palette blinked before realizing Himitsu had adressed her. "Nah, I've seen weirder shit. The bat out of hell used as a training device? Weird and insane, but no where near as crazy as some stuff back home." At the moment, though, she had no idea what Himitsu and Kaini were going on about. Something about demon summoning video games or some crap like that.
Eriol rushed back to Kaini's room carrying a bottle of alcohol and a cloth, which he handed to Himitsu. "Here you go, Ms. Himitsu."

"Thank you, Eriol. Please call me Himitsu," she was going to keep trying that. The doll had to get it someday, right? She pretty throughly drenched the cloth with alcohol, rather deftly wringing it out so that none fell on the floor and it was damp rather than sopping. Kaini had turned away and Himitsu gave no warning as she placed the cloth directly on top of the two large puncture holes.
Kaini screamed. Loudly as he jerked back, tripping over his own feet and landing on the ground. Anyone who has ever gotten even a drop of alcohol in an open wound can feel for the way he thrashed his arm, his eyes tearing up as he hissed. Himitsu frowned and waited for him to calm down... which didn't seem to be occurring.
"Quit acting like a little girl! Get up," it was possible Himitsu seemed harsh to Palette, or even more to Eriol as he had never seen her go into a truly serious mode. She made no sign that she was going to help Kaini up, and he finally pushed himself to his feet with his good arm.
"....am I going to... have to kill Keiichi....?"
Himitsu's look completely shifted to a soft one, "I do not know. If you can not shift your view of things, perhaps. But if it comes to that you will have to worry more of Naoya than Keiichi. Your twin is not likely to be willing to kill you, but I'm sure you are aware Naoya will not hesitate to kill you if he perceives you as a serious hinderance to his goals."
Kaini nodded. She was right. Something about that man set him on edge. Like back in the church. Thinking about fighting Naoya had put so many visions through his head. He couldn't remember any of them, but he somehow knew he couldn't kill Naoya... not that he didn't technically have the ability, but something terrible would happen to him if he did. He sighed.
"Your training is going to start today. You won't have time to dwell on what you're thinking about right now, if that is any comfort."
Kaini didn't shift his expression or turn towards Himitsu. She turned towards Palette and Eriol, "Let us give him a few moments."

Palette stepped back. Kill them...? Well, her prophecy had said their lives would be in his hands, so he always had the chance to... but did this kid have the guts to?
Eriol nodded. "Okay, Ms. Himitsu." Well, no one ever said he was very smart. One of his many flaws compared to the later dolls.

Himitsu had been true to her word. All of it, because Kaini actually walked out at one point broken arm and all. The "training" was brutal, and the blue haired teen had a galloping case of paranoia after a few days. Not that it wasn't justified. The shop got damaged a few times as Himitsu would randomly decide it was a good idea to summon something for Kaini to fight.
Although the fighting wasn't the only thing that occurred. Himitsu also had talks with Kaini, who thanks to the crash course he was getting was beginning to realize she was hiding something. Himitsu realized this about two days in and shifted her way of speaking. She forbade Palette or Eriol of bringing up the picture or the prophecy. It was no Lockdown, Kaini wasn't privy to the darker sides of humanity, but the chaos and figurative hell Himitsu put him through was likely as close as he could have gotten in such a "controlled" environment.
But all in all, the end result were flying leaps in his angel's developments and a full roster by the end of it all. He looked like he was suffering from a severe lack of sleep and he very much was. The paranoia was taking quite the toll on him. He lost track of how many times he asked himself why he wasn't leaving, but it always came back to the same conclusion. If he was going to protect Keiichi from Naoya's designs, if he was going to stand a chance of making his twin see the light, he had to put up with this. He didn't know the island very well, who knew if he could train anywhere else?
He jerked awake a few minutes after midnight one night, grabbing his COMP and summoning Lailah and Mahakalah before even being fully awake. The summoned entities took an aggressive stance, but looked around seemingly confused. They weren't the only ones. Kaini looked down at his COMP and noticed the noise had simply been an alert that he had an e-mail. He sighed at his foolishness, but it didn't prevent him from saying something.
"Keep an eye out and stay on the defensive..." he mumbled as he opened the mail function of the COMP. He gripped it tighter as he saw the message title. He wasn't sure who the sender was, but...
He jerked up and ran out of the room, the only reason he still had his COMP in his hands being the memories of the few times he had let it out of his site over the past few days. It was a good thing some of his allies had healing skills, or he would have looked like he'd been throug the nine levels of hell and back again.
The door crashed loudly against the side of the wall as his companions followed him, "Himitsu!" His voice was in near panic.
"Keiichi Needs Help" and "they'll die if someone doesn't take care of them"...

Over the past few days, Palette had chosen to stay at Himitsu's shop, despite her training of Kaini putting the house itself in danger, as it had proven more than a couple times. And while normally she didn't bother waking up anymore when Kaini freaked out, she found herself waking up. That was more panicked than usual...
Eriol jerked around from where he was once again dusting the cabinets. Kaini was up and running around, and he sounded panicked? Well, it wasn't like that was unusual, but still... "Is there something wrong, Mr. Kurosawa?" Eriol asked.

Kaini almost faceplanted as Eriol addressed him. Okay, he might have gotten "used" to any number of things jumping at him out of the shadows but the living doll still threw him. Probably had to do with the "Uncanny Valley" effect Eriol tended to give people. After recovering from his stumble with far more skill than he could have managed even three days ago, he answered.
"Where is Himitsu!?"
"What is wrong?"
Kaini jerked his head, taking a rather guarded stance as he spoke. He still looked panicked, but it was clear he trusted Himitsu to not attack him about as much as he trusted in his ability to fly, "I got an e-mail.... something happened to Keiichi!"
Himitsu hesitated and hoped Palette would have the good sense to stay in her room, "Naoya too, correct?"
Kaini suddenly looked pissed, "How the hell do you know? DID YOU DO SOMETHING TO THEM!?"
Himitsu remained calm, "No, I did nothing. Why do you need me, I assume it is not merely to tell me the bad news?"
Kaini was still glaring, "I don't know how to get here. I need instructions to give to Yuugi-san."
"Yuugi? Oh, of course," Himitsu grabbed a piece of paper and scribbled something down. She held it out to Kaini, "Write this message for directions."
Kaini hesitated, "You're not going to ask...?"
Himitsu shook her head, "Do what you need to do," she paused, "Let me know if transportation help is needed."
"...why would it be?"
"I honestly do not know, but it is better to be prepared," it was the truth. She glanced towards Palette's room, but Kaini was busy writing his message.
