(OOC: I write conversations between Yuugi and Atem with the inactive one's "words like this". Thoughts would not have the quotes. Hope that makes things less confusing. If you know the anime, the pair were pulled out of their world upon exiting the ruins where Atem entered his Memory World. I left it open so that if someone wants to RP this same continuity with another character, they can. And sorry its so super long. My introduction posts are like that.)
It would have been entirely possible to miss the teenager. A generous person would have said he was ten years old, and the way he was tucked into some random corner of the station meant he might not have stood out. Even the entirely unbalanced pyramid hung around his neck by a thick chain was hard to see, slung slightly behind and to the back as he lay their, either unconscious or sleeping. His outfit wasn't any stranger than some of the others one might see pass through this area. But he couldn't be missed. Even among the traffic that passed through the area every day, his hair drew attention to him like a moth to flame. It was taller than his entire head and molded into a star-like shape. It was mostly black, with purple tips and blond bangs. If it weren't for that, the teenager would have blended right into the background... but obviously, he didn't.
Most people gave him a wide berth. Strangers were common in the area, even those with wild hairstyles (even with this one setting new records.) Those with spiritual sense had a chance of realizing there were two entity's there. Better senses would indicate one was centered around the giant hunk of golden metal hanging around the visible one's neck. Phenomenal ones even had a chance of seeing a semi-transparent figure that looked quite a bit like the visible one sitting next to him, glaring at anyone that passed.
The short teenager groaned and his eyes slowly opened. His head was still fuzzy and he couldn't think that clearly. He felt a hand on his shoulder and jerked to the side. Those with the extraordinary spiritual sense would see he had turned to the figure next to him.
"I knew you were alright, or I wouldn't be. Do you remember what happened?"
"Partner...?" the teenager said, as he looked around, "No... where are we...? Where's Jounouchi, Honda, Anzu....?"
"I'm not sure," the figure paused, "I'm sure they're okay. They're tough. The others too."
People noticed that the teenager seemed to be talking himself. Even those that were mildly curious began to take a wider berth around him. The "other" figure noticed it, but kept his attention on the visible one.
"I'm a little sore... and why wouldn't they be okay?"
"You don't remember... this portal opened up in front of the exit, out of nowhere, and it swallowed part of the ruins. We were sucked in. You were hit in the head on the way in, but I don't think you have a concussion."
The kid paused for a moment, "...that's right... everyone else?"
"I think they got out... if not, they might be somewhere in this world. This is new to me. But we shouldn't stand here. People are beginning to stare. Don't forget, you're the only one who can see me.
The teenager nodded and pushed himself to his feet. He was a little wobbly, and his "partner" kept an eye on the crowd as he did so. He hoped Yuugi hadn't created too much of a spectacle. He had the feeling standing out without having much of an idea of what was going on was a bad idea. As Yuugi stood, he felt his hand go to the silver cartouche with hieroglyphs burned onto it from the trip to the Memory World. They had just gotten his memory back when this happened...
(OOC: Edit - For those who don't know. The names Jounouchi, Honda, and Anzu correspond to Joey, Tristan, and Tea in the dub. I use Japanese continuity and such. I'll continue translating any names that might come up (unless they are painfully obvious as in the case of Yugi and Yuugi.)

Portals opened and closed, bringing new people all the time. As Minato spent time here and around Trevor and Shine, he realized that. As he and the others noticed Yugi warp in, there wasn't much commotion. People looked for a while, then went back to their daily routine. It was the standard norm here, after all. People came and people went, but usually right after, they came straight back. Next to Minato stood another blue-haired boy, a student by the name of Tomoya Okazaki. He was relatively new himself and being shown around by Minato.

Yuugi walked forward, trying to not get run over by the crowd. It was certainly diverse here. He was greatful for his knowledge of Duel Monsters. Had he not been, he was sure he would have mistaken some of the creatures walking around for the monsters in the game. It struck him as a little odd he could understand everyone.
Yuugi's partner was keeping to himself. As always, Yuugi knew he was there but his other self seemed to be trying to figure out the situation. The time they had spent together had let Yuugi know that the Pharoah didn't like not understanding a situation. Which in itself was a rare occurance.
Yuugi's concern meant he was focusing on the large upside triangle hanging from the chain around his neck. And not on the area in front of him. Yuugi smacked into the blue-haired boy in a school uniform.

Tomoya felt the boy bump against him and sighed. "Figures," he said. "Out of everyone here, he had to bump into me."
"Oh calm down. Compared to the maniacs that can sometimes show up, you've hardly been cursed," Minato replied. If you looked closer at Minato, you could see he had a sword on one side and a gun on the other. Tomoya, on the other hand, was unarmed. He then held his hand out to help Yugi up, if the boy was knocked down seeing as Tomoya was bigger then him. "Hey... you ok?"

"I'm so sorry!" Yuugi said as soon as he realized he had bumped into someone.
Atem had pulled out of his own mind upon the impact. As Yuugi took the blue haired teenager's hand, he kept his focus on Minato. A guy with a gun and a sword didn't strike him as the safest person. Certainly not one to let your guard down around.
Yuugi got to his feet with Tomoya's help and positioned the puzzle on his neck while checking to make sure it wasn't harmed in any way. When he was satisfied he looked up sheepishly at Tomoya.
"Sorry about that. I guess I'm still a little disorientated. Are you two from around here?" Any other day he would have been startled by the seeming contrast between Minato and Tomoya. But it seemed normal enough for this place.

"I don't think anyone's from here except those that are born here," Tomoya replied.
"You're another unexpected one to show up. It was the same for Tomoya and I. We're both from different parts of Japan ourselves," Minato said.
"At least my part of Japan doesn't feature that screwed up Dark Hour," Tomoya replied, shaking his head. "That must be hell on Earth."
In all effect, Tomoya and Minato looked like they could've been twins by appearence. Both had blue hair and wore what looked like school uniforms, only Minato's was more casual compared to Tomoya's strictness. Yet it could be seen by the way they stood that seperated their actual existances. Tomoya didn't seem as battle-hardened as Minato, despite the latter's pretty face, and, by the way that Minato hadn't seemed bothered by Yugi coming out of nowhere, whereas Tomoya seemed upset that he had been bumped into at first, you could see that Tomoya had a shorter temper then the other blue-haired boy. But that's what you see when you compare a delinquent to a messaih.

"I was wondering, where is here?" Yuugi looked around, "Hey, either of you like games?"
It was all he could think of to say. His grandfather had taught him it was easier to make friends through games, and it had been something he had learned to be true over the years. Even if some of the "games" he had made friends through weren't anything he particularly wanted to repeat.

"This is the Interdimensional Travel Station, the ITS for short," Minato explained to answer Yugi's first question. "It's where everyone who gets pulled in through those portals appear."
As for the second question...
"Actually I am," Minato replied.
"Not really," Tomoya replied.

Yuugi's face lit up at Minato's response. It was almost like someone had flicked on a giant Christmas tree. He completely forgot what he had been talking about or his general worry about the area.
"What do you like? I'm into card games myself. Have you ever heard of Duel Monsters?"
Yuugi didn't seem inclined to go anywhere any time soon, but if Minato and/or Tomoya started walking, he had decided to go with them. It was scary here and he felt he had suddenly clicked with Minato due to his response to the question.
It was kind of strange, he had been in intimidated by Minato at first, but now it seemed he was the cooler of the pair. Yuugi had never understood how people couldn't like games.
(OOC: I don't know about the dub, but in Japan the "Yu-Gi-Oh!" card game is called "Duel Monsters" both in and out of the anime.)

"Come to think of it, I did think you looked familiar. You're famous in both our worlds and they did make Duel Monsters in our worlds for fans of your show," Minato replied.
"I could never get into that game," Tomoya said.
"You just kinda stopped caring about everything though. I loved that game as a kid... but then my brother burned my deck."
"Plot twist?" Tomoya asked.
"He just thought it was a creation of the devil and that I would turn into some freak if I continued to play it," Minato replied.
"Because summoning monsters by shooting yourself in the head with a fake gun to battle monsters that are trying to destroy the world and all of humanity... because becoming a stone statue to save the world from the creation of every human's hatred and despair... none of that is freakish, am I right?" Tomoya asked.
"... Tomoya... was that necessary?" Minato asked with a frown.
"I'm just being realistic," Tomoya replied.

Yuugi blinked a few times. Show? When Tomoya and Minato began talking about events that very vaguely reminded him of some of the events he had experienced, he got even more confused.
Atem, on the other hand, was far less confused and beginning to put pieces together. Interdimensional Travel Station. It was not out of the question that the dimensions would sometimes cross in the media. And if these two knew about Yuugi and him...
Yuugi's mannerism suddenly shifted. To most, it would seem as if he suddenly gained a giant dose of confidence and a harsher gaze. Even with a pair that had seen the show, the "glamour" of transformation would not be dropped. There was no true difference in the body as Atem manifested himself, but to those who had seen the show it was pretty clear what had just happened. Especially since Atem was quick to adjust the jacket into a more cape-like piece of clothing.
"So you know about both of us?" the voice was the confident voice of Atem.
Yuugi rested in the puzzle. The others hadn't heard it, but he had requested a switch and Yuugi had agreed. Atem had his arms crossed, staring at the group. He didn't want to do anything else until he saw their reaction. Yuugi may have decided he liked Minato, but Atem saw the warrior in him.
In fact, to viewers of the show it may have seemed odd that Atem had expressed himself. At the age Yuugi was at, Atem should have "died" due to losing the battle against him.
(OOC: At the final episode of Yuugiou, Yuugi and Atem face each other in a card fight. By winning, Yuugi "allows" Atem's spirit to pass onto the land of hte dead. I took them out of canon shortly before these events occur. Whether your characters paid enough attention to the series to know this is up in the air.
Also, I hear Yami comes back during the GX spin-off, but Yuugi is older. So we're dealing with Yuugi at his age and height in the original series.)

"Did your voice just get deeper?" Tomoya asked.
"Yes, I do know about you... Sir Atem," Minato said. "This also means that this ITS allows a sort of time travelling. Had it not, you'd be resting in the lands of the dead."
"Kinda like you, eh Minato?" Tomoya asked. Minato chose to ignore his haughty reply.

Atem felt Yuugi panic a bit at Minato's response, but no expression flicked on Atem's face. He had little doubt that Yuugi would have won their match, even with his "ace in the hole" so to speak, the God Cards. He hoped that this knowledge would not effect Yuugi's performance in the fight when they got back to their world.
"I didn't think I'd underestimated you. You're experienced in battle, aren't you? And there is no need to adress me so formally."
Atem didn't respond to Tomoya. He figured Minato's partner would figure out the situation soon enough. The fact that Minato put up with Tomoya's taunting meant to him that he was looking out for the more uptight of the duo.
"The other me? That means I win! But... but..." only Atem could hear it, but it didn't change his expression from softening a bit. It was almost invisible, but those who could read body language well could see the faintest trace of sadness in Atem's face.
(OOC: Oh, and Yuugi (and as a result, Atem) wouldn't know about your characters even with their shows playing in his world. He never struck me as the type who watched a lot of television, preferring to be glued to some game or another instead. When you consider anime is "just another TV program" in Japan, and all.)

"So you could tell?" Minato asked. "It's the consequences of living in my world, where you have to battle against monsters hell bent on destroying humanity... and only at night."
"That explains the dark circles under your eyes," Tomoya muttered, being ignored again by Minato.

Atem glanced around, "I don't think standing here is a good idea. Even in places that are used to high amounts of traffic, people standing around talking can attract negative attention. As for your inquiry, It's quite obvious. Warriors have his presence to them others lack."
Atem waited for the response of the pair. If they chose to stay in one place, he was considering moving on himself. Yuugi was still trying to sort through his feelings. Atem decided to let him rest longer.
(OOC: Poor Tomoya, getting all ignored. XD)
