Yuugi looked down, "I don't really know. Minato-kun got kind of quiet afterwards, I think his connection to it is as painful as yours is to the lockdown. And he actually died to stop it. It'd be the same as if Zorc were to come back, I think... Oh, um, Zorc is this really powerful demon and the reason my other self sealed himself in the Puzzle," Yuugi stated. He glanced at the COMP that K1 had in his hands, "Should't you summon your demons soon?"
He hoped it wouldn't be an objectionable change of topic. He wondered if K1 was feeling helpless in the situation. It seemed like it, and without a Persona of his own he only had his demons. He supposed it was probably a good thing he had that much. He wondered what happened to people who got attacked during the Dark Hour... he was staring at his feet still, in any case.

K1 looked down at his COMP. "Oh, yeah. I guess so."
He ended up deciding to summon a Culebre and a Rangda, since he didn't really have much better at the moment. Because of them, the hallway was suddenly rather crowded. K1 gave a nervous smile.
He definitely seemed to be happier now that he'd met Naoya again, even though the Lockdown was still going on. They both would have to go back to Tokyo again soon... probably as soon as K1 defeated Belphegor too. The Lockdown had been shortened to 12:00, after all. K1 couldn't spend too much time here, even with the way time worked on the island.

K1 looked depressed again. He sighed and looked down at his own feet, remembering Midori's conversation. He blushed a bit as he remembered, which probably made K1 nervous. Outside of Yuugi's memories... well, it could be misinterperted. But one of her observations seemed true. They were both awfully careful around things. He wondered if that's why Anzu always acted different around his other self.
Thoughts of that sort were running through his head when the power lighting the halls of the apartment complex blipped off, the paranormal glow revealing the pools of blood known for the Dark Hour. There didn't appear to be any shadows nearby... Yuugi pulled out Nefertum's card. He knew not to crush it immediately, however, remembering the trouble Atem had had maintaining Temu.
It was disconcerting how quiet it was... -----
In the floor just below Yuugi and Keiichi, however, there were plenty. Naoya was using the size of the hall and his demons to his advantage and seemed to have a fairly decent handle on the situation. At his orders, Ananta shot is heads forward, destroying several shadows in front of it, and seemed to be trying to trip any shadows attempting to flee with the ones it hadn't attacked with.
Nyarlathotep was closer to Naoya, and unleashed Megidolaon on a group of shadows much futher way than what Ananta was attacking, using its Chaos Wave ability to do so. All but one of that group was killed. Naoya was well aware without the COMP he couldn't use any of his own abilities, but seemed to have the situation well under control. It was almost scary how much better than Keiichi he was handling his first Dark Hour... As it was, it would take longer than he wanted to get back up the stairs.

K1 looked around the hallway and shiverred, suddenly glad that he wore this sweater all the time. It was very cold during the Dark Hour, something he hadn't noticed before. Before he could say anything to Yuugi, though, he heard fighting from downstairs. "That's probably Souji! We should go help him," K1 said, and started running down the hallway.
-------------------
In the hallway, a Dancing Table shadow was sneaking up behind Naoya, aiming to attack him. It would have hit, too, if it weren't for a lightning bolt that came zooming out of a nearby doorway.
It was a bit of a sight. The lightning bolt had come from the sword of an armored delinquent of sorts, who was glowing with a blue aura of sorts. What was strange was the person behind the delinquent, a silver haired boy holding a claymore and wearing PJs.

If Naoya was surprised by the bolt, it didn't show, "Ananta, pull back!" ordered Naoya. It wasn't a yell of panic or anything of the sort. He was merely sounding firm. The multi-headed cobra stopped about halfway towards Izanagi.
Nyarlathotep countered an attempted attack by a few shadows as Ananta twisted its body in a way that allowed Naoya to clearly see Izanagi and Souji. He glanced back to make sure there were no shadows behind him before walking up to Souji. Under different circumstances, it would have looked cool. The epicly cloaked man with several giant white cobra heads almost creating an arch frame over his head. The black demon kept a watch on Naoya's back. Although he didn't show it outwardly, it struck him as humorous the way the teen's "demon" reminded him of Kaido.
"I apologize if my demons and I woke you," It wasn't really a matter of "if" in Naoya's mind. However, there was quite the contrast to Souji's way of speaking. Despite "apologizing", his way of speaking was far ruder than Souji's. And he used the fairly arrogant "ore" pronoun when referring to himself. -----
Yuugi quickly nodded and ran after K1, keeping Nefertum's card at ready. It wasn't long before he'd need it, either. A group of shadows that had fled from Naoya's high leveled demons were laying in wait, and K1 was headed right for them... Then again, they'd screech like bloody murder over K1 as well. If nothing else, it would let Souji and Naoya know something was up on the stairs.

Souji's expression didn't change. He didn't like how arrogant Naoya sounded. "It's fine. From the looks of the demons following you around and the DS-like object you're holding, I'd suppose that's a COMP, and you're a demon tamer?" Souji asked.
Before Naoya could answer him, though, Souji heard sounds of battle coming from the stairway. "There's others still awake. We need to hurry." He grabbed his sword and started running down the hallway.
-------------------
K1 managed to stop in time to keep from running right into a group of shadows. "Rangda, Force Dance!" he ordered. "Culebre, Mabufudyne!"
Culebre moved first, freezing the demons in giant blocks of ice, blocks that Rangda broke through with a gust of wind and debris. Only one shadow was defeated though.

Yuugi heard K1's orders and realized he couldn't hold off any longer. It really wouldn't have mattered if Yuugi had seen Souji use the card before, as once he had decided to summon Nefertum he heard the instructions in his head. He crushed the tarot card in his hand and the shattered glass like energy swirled around him. Nefertum appeared, but Yuugi's eyes widened as he skidded to a stop at the top of the stairs.
He'd realized then that the Persona couldn't attack. It was ironic when he thought about it. In its Shadow form Nefertum had tried to kill him and anyone that came near him. But it seemed this form matched the way he preferred to fight. Defensively.
"K1-kun, I'm gonna hold back! Nefertum can't help here!"
"It seems you need a weapon..."
"I can't use any!" Yuugi responded to Atem, the stress of the situation causing him to not think about how it might confused K1. Atem looked towards K1. He could use a sword, but somehow he knew what Yuugi had known the previous night. If he was dominant, Nefertum couldn't be out. -----
Naoya didn't reply to the question about the COMP. It was fairly easy to piece together what he knew about his cousin's activities and the knowledge the silver haired teen seemed to have. He kept quiet as he turned to run after Souji. Nyarlathotep remained in front of him and Ananta slid after him. He'd maintain his formation if he could. However, a few shadows remained in the hall and he ordered Ananta to take care of them first. It didn't take long, it seemed the shadows here were rather weak. Then again, the base level of Naoya's demons wasn't anything that could be called low...

Culebre blocked the attack of a shadow coming K1's way, just in time for him to pull the devil's fuge out of his pocket. He tossed it to Yuugi. "That thing's enchanted! Use it as a weapon if you can!"
Souji made it up the stairs in time to attack the remaining shadows, bringing Izanagi's giant cleaver down on top of one, and slashing through another one. Finally, the shadows that had been attacking K1 were all gone. Of course, it was only a matter of time until they found more shadows, or the shadows found them.
"Keiichi-san, are you alright?" Souji asked.
"...We could have handled them," K1 said. He looked past Souji and spotted Naoya. He'd thought Naoya would turn into a coffin too, but it looked like he was wrong.

Yuugi nearly dropped it, not having expected a cell phone strap of all things to get tossed at him. He wasn't even sure how to use it as a weapon. Jounouchi probably could have figured it out, but Yuugi wasn't one to throw punches. However, Souji's arrival solved any potential problems that could have occured. K1's cold response to Souji's help started Yuugi a bit, but he forced his feet forward. Knowing Nefertum wouldn't be useful here, he allowed the Persona to return to card form before walking forward and offering the strap to K1.
"I'm sorry I couldn't make use of it..."
Naoya smirked at Keiichi's comment, also noting the way the other silver haired teen had referred to him, "Now, Keiichi, you may have been fine but Yuugi doesn't look like he had the situation as well under control," Naoya jabbed. Yuugi actually glared, an expression he had used on only a few people in the past. It wasn't anywhere near as intense as Atem's glares, but it was an expression K1 had not seen before...

K1 sighed. "It's fine. I wish I could know what time it is, though." He sighed and turned to Naoya. "I guess you're able to be active during the Dark Hour without a Persona too, Naoya."
Souji noted the lack of honorific when talking to Naoya. Obviously, the two of them were rather close. However, a lot about Naoya rubbed Souji the wrong way. "It's not a problem, really. I'll let K1 and Yuugi defend themselves next time," Souji said. There wasn't a hint of emotion in his voice. "Though if this happens every night, we may be having a bit of a problem."

Naoya looked Yuugi in the eyes despite the glare, "How did you know to have your demons out?" Yuugi asked, trying to maintain a steady voice but not quite succeeding. Atem raised his eyebrow, Yuugi had asked a good question.

K1 jumped in front of Yuugi and Naoya. "Woah, woah, wait a minute. What is this all of the sudden? Maybe he had a feeling, or he heard you talking through the walls or something--"
"Did you tell Naoya-san about the Dark Hour?" Souji asked. K1 looked nervous. "You're being very suspicious, Keiichi-san."
K1 didn't know how to respond to this. He had, once again, thrown himself into an awkward situation that was bound to end badly.

Yuugi stopped. He had mentioned the Dark Hour outloud after Atem's explanation. He suddenly felt bad for cornering Naoya. Not because he trusted the man, but for making an unfair assumption. He turned away, "I'm sorry. I guess I'm just jumpy."
"It doesn't change the fact he was eavesdropping, Partner,"
"I don't trust him. But we can't falsely accuse him..."
If Naoya hadn't known it would raise suspicion, he would have smirked. Yuugi was so remarkably like Keiichi it was humorous. Down to the interference of his past life on Naoya's goals, actually, although Yuugi's was in a more direct manner. All of this flitted through his mind in a few seconds, "Keiichi, no need to defend me," he smiled the kind most people interperted as a smirk, "I took the evidence presented and put two and two together," he replied to the question at hand.
He purposely left the specifics vague. He found the best misinterpertations were formed based on the way people's mind jumped with the smallest shreds of evidence. It had occurred in the lockdown, and seemed to be a trait of most humans.

K1 nodded. "Oh... okay then." He had definitely bought the explanation, and didn't seem inclined to doubt his cousin quite yet, and he was still sitting on the fence about things.
Souji was still examining the situation. He turned to Naoya. "I didn't get a proper chance to introduce myself earlier. My name is Souji Seta." He held his hand out, in case Naoya wanted to shake hands. There was a lot a handshake could say, after all. For one, it could start a murder case.

Naoya glanced at the hand. It was a rather uncustomary greeting for the Japanese, but he knew the historical purposes of the gesture. Personally "thanks" to his curse, but that was besides the point. As such, the way he took Souji's hand may have surprised him. Instead of taking his hand he clamped his own around Souji's wrist and gave a good strong shake, "Naoya Kimura."
Yuugi yawned. He didn't know why they weren't being attacked at the moment, but he was grateful for it. Atem looked at Naoya's handshake. It was the original form of the gesture. Why was Naoya using a warrior's handshake?
(OOC: The purpose of the original handshake and the way Naoya's doing it is to prove one is unarmed - It's why a lot of thieves trained to be ambidexterous. It was also used as a measure of one's strength - hence why Naoya gave it such a strong shake. It's not jarring, but sort of a "I'm the dominant one" type of thing)
