Yuugi smiled, "I meant without Atem... Midori-chan thinks he's still... ah... its hard to explain," it really was, if you thought about it. After all, Kanji didn't know that Atem and Yuugi shared a body until only recently.
But it did mean the vacation was a bust. Yuugi sighed, he was more stressed now than before. He glanced at Atem, "You're going back to the Apartments, right? You're exhausted..."
Around this time the lights suddenly flickered back on and any electronics that had been going blared back to life. Yuugi quickly opened K1's COMP and found his e-mail list. He was actually surprised to find Kaini's info there. The username was as original as his own. Kurosawa Kaini.
"I'm going to let him know we're coming."
He hoped he wasn't giving away too much. He wanted to say more, but he didn't want to send Kaini into a complete panic. He glanced at K1 and Naoya, "We should probably wait for a response..."
It was clear he didn't want to, but he had a point. Wandering off without any idea where they were going was kind of a bad idea. Atem waited until he was sure Yuugi was finished, "I'm going to stay here with everyone. But... I do need to get back to sleep..." he didn't like admitting it, but he did need the rest. It was humorous at times how much his thought about Yuugi being stronger was right.

Souji looked up. "Atem, go on to bed. You shouldn't even be trying to summon a Persona so soon after you came back from the TV World. You've got to be exausted."
"Yeah," Kanji said. "Go on to bed. We'll stay out here and keep an eye on... hey, Minato, what did you say they were?"
Minato looked up. "...They've got Apathy Syndrome, but it's easier to say that they're members of the Lost now." He looked down again. Yeah, he definitely seemed to be depressed now. He fumbled with his Evoker, looking it over as he did so. As soon as he could, he would find out how to make the seal again. He needed to reinstate his contract with Igor.
And while only one person there could see it now, something had appeared over Minato's head now that it was the next day. A small red clocklike object with the number 9 on it...

Atem nodded wearily. They were more than right, about everything. But he managed to keep his usual proud stance as he went back into his room. Dropping it into a slump as soon as he was sure no one could see him. His act of falling asleep could better be described as passing out, as he was "asleep" before his head hit the pillow. He'd have to ask Yuugi for the cards, he didn't want to stay completely out of the fight but maintaining, even summoning, Temu was greatly draining him.
Yuugi looked concerned as he watched Atem wander off. He sighed and turned back towards the group... and all color drained from his face. It had been a while, but he remembered what K1 had said those clocks were. And one was above Minato's head. The rest of the group would see him staring at the "empty" spot above Minato with a look of utter shock and more than a bit of worry plastered on his all but white face.

Souji turned to say something to Yuugi when he saw that the the teen had gone white as a sheet, to use a common simile. He turned to look at Minato, who had a confused look on his face, and saw nothing where Yuugi was looking.
"...Something wrong?" Souji asked. K1 had never explained the whole Death Clock concept to him, so he really didn't have much of a clue as to why Yuugi was staring at empty space above Minato's head. Naoto and Kanji, having even LESS knowledge of K1's world than Souji himself did, were completely lost.

Yuugi looked down, "Minato-kun, did you just make some kind of decision?"
His voice was a touch whiny, and he was hoping that the clock was a result of something Minato had no direct control over. It was possible. But upon that thought, he realized Minato had looked resigned to something around the time the clock had appeared. Yuugi could read people far better than he was often given credit for. In fact, it was why he could be such a good friend. And to Yuugi, Minato had shifted into the expression he'd heard people who had finally decided to kill themselves had made. A depressed resolution of sorts. Yuugi looked extremely worried, and didn't respond to Souji's question.

"...No." Minato said, managing to keep eye contact with Yuugi. He was a much better liar than K1, that was for sure. Still, he sighed and walked past Yuugi, heading back into his bedroom. "I'm going to bed. If anything happens, just come wake me up," he said before closing the door behind him.
Souji watched Minato go. He knew about Minato's former status as the seal, and it was possible that Minato was considering it again. He yawned, and realized how tired he was himself. But still, he said, "I'll stay up and watch over the Lost. You all go ahead and get some sleep. We can decide what to do in the morning."

Yuugi hesitated. He wanted to believe Minato. And unfortunately, the teen's gullibility won out. He nodded as Minato walked off. He didn't feel all that relieved, really, but at least he knew Minato wasn't going to do anything stupid. Nine days was a lot of time, maybe something would change. At least it wasn't going to be a result of whatever would happen on the full moon. That was six days away. Yuugi turned away, trying to come up with something to say. He nodded to himself. Souji had anger issues, but somehow it seemed Kanji and Naoto trusted him. He turned back towards the group, "Seta-kun... I want to talk to you alone about something..." he said, hoping Naoto and Kanji would accept that. (OOC: As in you just gave me an opening for a link establishment. )

Souji looked to Kanji and Naoto, and nodded to them to leave. Naoto figured that it was something private and walked back to Souji's room. Kanji walked back to Minato's room, and upon opening the door, found the teen staring at a window. He closed the door behind him.
"Hey. You alright?" Kanji asked. Minato turned around.
"I'm fine," Minato said. He still didn't look very fine, and still had that resigned, depressed look. Finally, he climbed back into bed. "I'll see you in the morning."
Kanji opened his mouth to protest something before he realized that Minato was asleep. He climbed back into his own bed before falling asleep himself.
Now that they were alone, Souji turned back to Yuugi. "What is it?"

Yuugi sighed, "First, I'm sorry if I've been acting odd lately. I don't think I handle stress all that well, and I've been kind of viewing you badly because of it. You're stressed too, and I'm not handling it as well as I could. But I wanted to mention what's up with Minato-kun. I know I confused you there." Yuugi held up K1's COMP. His own was still in his room, but K1's would work for the explanation. He had no intentions of revealing K1's real connection to Naoya, but as it was with Minato now some things needed to be explained. He glanced over at K1's comatose form for a moment before continuing. "I don't really know too much, but apparently these COMP's abilities to summon demons has to do with this chaos that is going on in K1-kun's world. But they have other features. I don't understand them well, K1-kun is so guarded about things, but one of the features is what K1-kun calls a 'Death Clock'," Yuugi paused, but Souji seemed to be listening so he continued, "This number appears above people's heads if they are going to die soon. It's not set in stone, but it can be really hard to change. Sometimes... sometimes it can't be..." Yuugi looked extremely pained. For a second, he seemed he was going to cry. But he shook his head quickly and went on, grateful Souji was letting him finish before asking any questions, "I asked Minato if he had made some kind of decision as resolutions can cause the clocks to appear. I guess the decision to do something that leads to your death," he sighed, "My point is unless something changes, Minato-kun is going to die in nine days...." Yuugi trailed off, but he didn't look away from Souji. In fact, he was doing an unusually good job at keeping eye contact with the silver haired teen. Fact was, with all that had happened Yuugi decided something. Of all the people involved in this mess, Souji seemed to have the best grasp on things. The only person he came close to putting this much trust in was Atem... if the conflict was going to continue, he needed to extend his trust more. In the back of Souji's mind, words would be forming.... (OOC: I'll let you handle it from here. )

That certainly explained more than a few things. K1 was probably being so evasive about the COMPs and his home world. because he could see when people would die. It wasn't a very cheerful gift, nor one that he'd want to share. And a lot of the events from his own home dimension probably involved that clock, too...
He gave a small smile. "Don't worry. When the time comes, we'll save Minato." He could feel the trust that Yuugi had in him, despite everything...
Thou art I... And I am thou...
That voice...
Thou hast established a new bond... it brings thee closer to the truth...
You shalt be blessed when creating Personas of the Duelist Arcana.
The voice in Souji's mind faded away, leaving him confused. "Duelist" Arcana? That wasn't a tarot card... what the hell?

Yuugi saw Souji's expression shift from one of understanding to confusion. A lot of confusion. Yuugi wondered if he hadn't been clear about something, but the thought quickly went out of his mind because Souji had just reassured him. Because unlike Minato, Souji had no experience with "new" Arcana.
"Seta-kun, are you alright? You look confused. Was I unclear about something?"

Souji shook his head. Okay. This was odd. But it explained the weird shadows he'd fought lately, or at least some of them. That one Arcana Shadow in Tartarus had a different mask from the ones he'd seen in Yuugi and Atem's realities, but these Egyptian themed shadows, the Duelist Arcana, et cetera... That explained a lot.
Still made no sense. Duelist wasn't even a minor arcana, at least from what he remembered upon researching the arcana (which had taken FOREVER, what with Inaba's general lack of modern technology and horridly slow internet connection in the library there. He'd had to hunt down a decent book on tarot to find out.)
"It's nothing important. You should get to bed. I doubt Kaini will respond before the morning anyways, so there's no use staying awake," he said before looking to K1, who was still staring off into space. To use a common expression, the lights were on, but there was most definitely no one home.

Souji's point was made when Yuugi yawned, and he nodded oddly as he tried to bring it under control.
"..alright..." he finally managed to force out. He glanced over at K1 and Naoya, wondering what was really happening with the two and hoping they would be alright, before heading off into the other room.
He looked over to Atem, who was sound asleep. He climbed back into bed himself. Minato was in danger, Souji seemed to be having issues of his own.... he felt the most sorry for Minato. He didn't have anyone from his world, and from what Minato had said they would all think him dead. As he drifted off to sleep he silently hoped that Minato could meet up with someone he knew, even if there would need to be an explanation as for why Minato was alive...

Once Yuugi was asleep, Souji watched over K1 and Naoya for a bit before deciding that they'd be fine for now. There was the problem of getting them to eat, of course... would they even respond to food?
Souji got up and walked to the little mini fridge the cabin had and pulled out a piece of melon bread from Minato's stash. He pulled it into three pieces, one of the pieces being substantially smaller than the other two, before walking over to K1.
"Eat. You may be Lost, but you can still eat, right?" Souji asked. The Apathy-Syndromed K1 tilted his head up at Souji, indicating that he'd at least heard Souji. Souji held out the melon bread, which K1 took, and after a few moments, took a bite of. Well, that was a relief. They'd at least still eat.
After making sure K1 ate all of his piece, Souji walked over to Naoya and handed him the small piece of bread. "You eat too."

Naoya took longer to respond than K1. While Souji had no way of knowing this, there was more "fuel" for the Syndrome to work with. While "Abel" had lived more than a few lives, he did not have any memory of most of them. And the first one was so solidly suppressed that it only seemed to come out in certain situations. But the Syndrome had countless lives to play with in regards to Naoya. It seemed for a moment that Naoya wouldn't react, but he finally slowly lifted a hand and took the bread.
He looked at it as intently as a blank-eyed person could for a few moments before beginning to eat it as well. Noaya's face remained blank, but the body language held the slightest hints of a person who ate merely to prevent death rather than of any existing desire. -----
Yuugi had just fallen asleep when his COMP beeped. He opened his eyes slowly before jerking up, realizing what that probably indicated. Atem remained asleep as the teen all but tore the top off the device flipping it open.
Yuugi scrolled down and found some rather lengthy directions. Kaini was panicked. He typed a message and closed the COMP. He hopped out of bed, feeling rather tired but wanting to tell Souji as soon as he could. He came out in time to see Naoya's arms drop like lead weights upon finishing the food. This threw his initial reason for coming out from his mind for a moment.
"Did he just move? Does that mean... sorry," Yuugi shook his head. He had a message to deliver and with what Minato said it was unlikely Naoya was getting better, "Kurosawa-kun gave us directions and he said he knew someone who could help with transportation... I think he's at that odd shop you took us to for weapons. K1-kun isn't going to be happy about being there..." Yuugi trailed off, not sure what to say. He looked exhausted, "I told him we're all tired but if he can get here he should come as soon as the sun rises."
