Full Name: ????
Nicknames: Romeo (Ro-MAY-Oh, Jackass) Blackswan, the Nameless One
Age: ?
Height: Tall as a Tree
Weight: Light as a Feather
Gender: M
Race: Ghost
Alliance: Neutral (Side: Evil)
Home: Dover
Franchise: PsychoEd (Original Story)/ Sandman (OC)
Physical Description: Romeo's black hair hangs in bangs over his eyes, which are heavily surrounded by a black mascarra. If one were to look past the mascarra, however, one would see that Romeo's eye-sockets are completely empty; they seem to stretch on forever, like a haunting abyss. Blackswan does occasionally wear casual clothing, usually in the goth style, but he is most-often seen wearing a long, black, flowing cloak that seems to be one with the shadows it touches.
Weapons: Romeo's greatest weapon is a person's own insecurities and feelings of despair. If one were to make direct eye-contact with him, the despair would be almost overwelming to even the happiest individuals. Romeo does, however, possess a compass-like shard of rock that points him towards those ready to join his harvest.
Abilities/Powers: As a former Agent of Despair, Romeo holds power over feelings of grief and suicidal urges. His empty eye-sockets hold the combined angst of his entire flock. A disturbing 'Angel of Death', Romeo served his lady Despair by appearing to her truly loyal followers and giving them the blessing of a painless assisted suicide. Their souls would be added to his robes, like babes asleep, where they could enjoy an eternity of misery. Through timeless years of serving one of the Endless, Romeo has picked up numerous magical skills.
Skills: (Simple things like if they’re a good cook or can run real fast or something.)
Personality: Romeo is often bleak and dark, never smiling or laughing-- only conveying emotions by the frequent blood he cries.
History: He forgot his name. It was a long time ago, or it will have been-- he was the son of a rich, Victorian English family. They were at their country estate for summer holiday, but as a young, rebellious youth he thought he had better things to do than spend time with his tiresome family.
But he was dragged along by his father, the ass, and spent three days lounging about in utter boredom. Finally, his father permitted him to wander about and enjoy himself. That's when he found some small hamlet, out in the middle of nowhere.
They were... working women. He was enticed over, surprised to find them in such a small village. One-- a young thing, barely his age-- seemed shy. Their employer, a man-- or was it a woman?-- of astounding beauty, offered him a free turn with the girl. What had the employer said again?
"Take the girl to the field of lillies. You're going to make love to her, boy-- and then you won't forget her ever again. You two are in love, understand?"
She cried; why? She must have been willing, in that small field just outside the town. Why else would she have come? He left her, hurrying to his father's house, terrified of leaving his beloved behind for even a second.
Every day, he went to the hamlet. But the girl averted attention from him-- she wouldn't look at him, or talk to him. Even when he offered money, she wouldn't look him in the eye. And for the life of him, he couldn't find the employer or any of the other girls. But still, somehow, his father found out...
His father yelled at him for sleeping with a prostitute; men of their class shouldn't filthy themselves in such a way. It turned into a mud-slinging fit, with both insulting the other and father forbidding him from going out.
Still, locked doors and windows could not hold him back. In the dead of night, Romeo made his way to his beloved. She was waiting for him; she screamed and cried when they made love, begging him to leave her alone, but he promised her that they'd never seperate them.
They came up with a plan. Or, rather, he did-- to jump from the cliffs of Dover, hand-in-hand. He would come for her the next afternoon, and take her away. She cried in joy, and he left.
But his father must have found out. He held him back-- long after noon, long after his beloved would have jumped without him. Fighting his father back, he ran to his beloved's town.
But she was gone. Her home, abandonned-- devoid of life since last night. In despair, he left-- but not before taking a knife from the kitchen cabinet.
On the Cliffs of Dover, hours after she surely jumped (Surely. She loved him, didn't she? Now, long before or afterwards, he doubted...) he raised his knife to his face. He damaged himself-- if, by some curse, he survivded this jump, may he die by his injuries.
Blind, bleeding, and crying blood, the Nameless One was born falling.
He woke up and saw sorrow. He saw through every mirror, through every eye that saw only the worst. He saw his mistress. Despair, one of the 7 Eternals-- the Endless-- had taken pity on him after the cruel trick her sibling had played on him. She gave him many choices-- a life of godhood and servitude among them.
He donned a cloak of pure shadows and was bathed in the last breath of the hanged. He traveled across time and space, visiting those that were truly loyal to Lady Despair. He went on doing this for time immeasurable.
Then, they came.
The Crawlers in the Dark, as they called themselves, were led by a monster; one who felt no sorrow, no lust, and dreamed for nothing but doom. The Monster asked Lady Despair for the use of one of her greatest servants: the Nameless One. Despair agreed, thinking it useful to have a spy amongst these monsters.
And so the Nameless One joined their ranks. But that insane monster gave him a new name as a sign of his servitude-- Romeo Blackswan. The Nameless One feels so few emotions, but he truly hates these... 'Crawlers'. However, out of loyalty to his lady, he will continue to work undercover. Until the time is right. Then the full force of the Endless will come down on then.
Until then, he waits.
