The first thing Adachi had noted was how the incredibly polite kid's voice had suddenly turned ruder than the Tatsumi kid's. Then he turned around and saw the Ring.
Shit. SHIT. Adachi thought to himself. His hand moved down by his side.Another mystical egyptian artifact of doom. Just my luck!
"Woah! Where did that necklace come from?!" Adachi said rather loudly. "And hey, you don't talk like that to a police officer!"

(OOC: FF - Adachi and Bakura are the EXACT SAME HEIGHT. I looked it up, 176 cm - holy crap that's lulzy. XD Anyhow, it means it would be no problem for him to whisper into Adachi's ear.
Btw - those that read FF's and my RPs might notice some give and take mild godmoding. We often discuss things over IM and we have no problem changing something if the other requests it. Those of you who have been on the site for a while probably know we tend to RP together A LOT - this plot being a biggie.
Just a note in regards to "Yami no Bakura" and his grabbing of Adachi's wrist.)
The darker Bakura's eyes flicked to the side before refocusing on the officer. This was obviously a place of law. The uniforms and words being passed around were evidence enough of that. He still couldn't lay claim to fully understanding what was happening. Knowledge was trickling in from another source. And really, it wasn't like he'd not been captured by the authorities before. These officers didn't seem to answer to any Pharaoh, but they were still in the way.
His expression had turned to a cruel grin and he was up in a flash. With energy that it hadn't seemed Bakura had been able to use a few moments earlier. He had already registered that the officer in front of him was reaching for a weapon. A gun. Somehow he knew that, although "guns" didn't exist in his own memory. He knew his body wasn't right, and one could see the pieces falling into place just by looking in the dark Bakura's arrogant eyes.
The office wasn't watching out for one of their own. Their problem. The dark Bakura had his hand quickly grasped around the wrist of the hand Adachi was reachin towards his gun with. It was a firm grip, a strength that didn't seem quite natural for the body. The water bottle had hit the floor, the small amount remaining now spilling onto the hardwood ground. The bag of sandwiches had fallen to the side as well.
The dark Bakura leaned close to Adachi. Uncomfortably close. He pulled Adachi forward by his wrist if the man tried to back up. It hadn't seemed possible, but his tone of voice as he harshly whispered into Adachi's ear was darker, more venemous. And no less rude, as now his personal pronoun came up. "Oresama" of all things...
"I've talked to the Pharaoh himself in this way, don't expect me to change it for a mere officer. You will turn around and walk out of this building slowly, and I will be behind you. If anyone asks, everythng is alright. I won't hesitate to kill you, even here, if you feel the need to try any heroics," he was too close to Adachi for him to see the smirk, but the man could probably feel it, "Not that you could..."
The dark incarnation of Bakura pulled back from Adachi. If Adachi still tried to go for his gun, he'd realize what the "kid" meant with his last line. His gun wasn't in his holster. The dark Bakura had already taken it and placed it in his own pocket. It would take another professional pickpocket to stand a chance of realizing it had occurred. The dark Bakura had done it with enough fluidity that it was fairly clear he was used to wearing a trenchcoat like number.
"Yo, Adachi, you okay out there?"
The dark Bakura gave a dangerous look towards Adachi. It was very much a dare. A dare for Adachi to even think about raising a ruckus. It seemed this dark incarnation of Bakura had been sincere in every one of his threats. If Adachi wasn't wetting himself by now, he may have picked up on the "Pharaoh" line, as well.

Adachi had just about wet his pants when the "other Bakura" had grabbed his wrist. And when this Bakura told him to walk out of the police station, he really thought that was a good idea. More than a good idea. This kid was obviously dangerous. He had one of those freaking weird Egyptian artifact things, for christ's sake!
Not that Adachi wasn't going to defend himself. He was just going to wait until he was further from the police station to do so.
He jumped as someone called his name from the back.
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine! Um, I'll be back l-later, he wants me to show him to the apartment complex, that's all!" Adachi called. Still shaking, he took a few steps forward and walked out of the station.

The other Bakura grinned and nodded at Adachi. As promised he was on Adachi's heels as he left the station. The area was a mix of familiar and unfamiliar, his own memories conflicting with the mild observations made by what the the other Bakura was beginning to realize was what could best be described as his "host".
Once they were out of earshot of the officers in the station, the other Bakura spoke again, "Into the alley."
It was an order, not a request. For all Adachi knew the "kid" was gonna kill him there. The other Bakura had one hand his hand in his pocket. He'd have to learn more about these guns. He was already attempting to get a feel for their construct as he traced the edges with his finger. All his host seemed to know about them was that you pointed the thing and pulled the trigger to kill a person. Oh, and only officers were allowed to carry them, which earned an extra smirk from the other Bakura.

Adachi listened to the other Bakura and walked into the alley. Okay, this was not good. At least he had his gun... he reached for it, and gasped. Where the hell was his gun?!
Well, at least he had one other weapon the other Bakura didn't know about. And his gun was still on safety. Hopefully the kid didn't know how to use a gun.
After a moment, Adachi turned around. "Well, you've led me far enough away from the station that I can do this without having to worry about getting in trouble."
And then he suddenly flinched in pain, and grabbed his head. Above him appeared a delinquent carrying a knife-spear and covered in blood.

The other Bakura smirked as Adachi reached for his holster. He probably would have burst out laughing had Adachi not claimed to have another weapon. He raised an eyebrow as he suddenly grabbed his head and took a step back as the entity appeared above Adachi's head. What the hell, he can summon a Ka!?For a moment the other Bakura looked off balance. Then he straightened up and gave off an extremely smug smirk. The memories of his host told him something... interesting. He reached into the pocket opposite where he had placed the gun and pulled out something as unintimidating as a deck of cards. From what he could gather from the experiences of his host, things didn't work quite the same way they had when it came to the Dia Danks. In fact, it was more than probable this Adachi figure had a method all his own. He fanned out the cards and picked two from what were in front of him. He willed them to surface. In a flash of light the cards vanished. It was clear what one did, as the light shot above the other Bakura's head and what appeared to be a knight of some sort sans one head appeared above the other Bakura. Adachi would also now have an uncomfortable feeling that something else was in the general area as the second light merely vanished. It didn't take much to figure that the other Bakura had control over whatever that "something else" was. He lookd up, the deck still fanned out but the only visible parts to Adachi or his Persona being the backs. The other Bakura was holding it rather well in that regard. His smug stance had gotten more pronounced. "You think summoning Ka makes you unique?" the grin shifted to something psychotic. His canines seemed a touch overpronounced, his grin being wide enough to show his teeth. (OOC: The Other Bakura summoned No Head Knight and lay a trap of Rebirth Wedge. No Head Knight: yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Headless_KnightRebirth Wedge: yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Rebirth_TabletAs for not drawing cards as Atem does... well, the connection of Ka to the cards is a lot more flexible than Atem or Yuugi realize. XD)

Adachi raised an eyebrow at that. "What the hell's a 'Ka?' This is my Persona."
He didn't like the look of those cards the other Bakura had taken out. They looked like those stupid gaming cards that were popular with all the kids. Duel Monsters or something like that. He'd never paid attention to them.
Well, it wasn't like that headless knight thing he'd summoned looked like it could resist an attack from Magatsu Izanagi. Magatsu Izanagi suddenly rushed at the Headless Knight and slashed it with Vorpal Blade, the shockwaves from the blade heading through the knight and right at the other Bakura.

The other Bakura was already bracing for the impact as Magatsu Izanagi slashed at the No Head Knight. The "Ka" as the other Bakura had called it offered little more resistance than a stick of melting butter. The attack continued as Adachi expected and the other Bakura's free hand clutched his chest. His face contorted in wordless pain and a sound like a cross between a hiss and a grunt came out as his shirt pulled tight across his back. It was due to his free hand gripping the front of his shirt so tightly. For a moment he looked like he was going to collapse. He recovered though, and licked his lips as he gathered the cards back together. He needed to try something a little different here, but the first issue was getting some kind of barrier up. He straightened up and held his hand out to the side. Suddenly a chunk of the stone ground began to shake and what looked like a giant stone tablet with a relief of an Ankh on it rose out of the ground. It glowed for a moment and then the No Head Knight Magatsu Izanagi had just destroyed rose out of it before it shattered. It took up position in front of Bakura, but it now held its shield in front of it. The other Bakura seemed in mild pain, but was still grinning like a madman. He gathered the deck back up and stuck it in his pocket. He concentrated for a moment. If the cards worked exactly like his host thought, the No Head Knight would vanish. If however, his suspicions were right... "Diabound!" In a flash of light that seemed a touch more like the summoning of a Persona (but still not exactly) than the other Bakura's summoning of No Head Knight, another monster appeared above the "kid". Its tail for lack of a better word was partially wrapped around him. It wasn't touching but it created a rather impressive effect. A bit of wind blew by and ruffled the other Bakura's trenchcoat. And No Head Knight was still on the field. The other Bakura cackled. "Oh, this is interesting," he glared at Adachi, all the while still grinning cruelly. It was a disturbing combination of expressions, "Come on, don't dissapoint me now." (OOC: Due to the change I discussed, ignore the atk/def stats on Diabound. It looks like this image: yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Diabound_Kernel)

Adachi scowled. So this kid had a Persona too. And that monster he'd summoned from the card was still there. That wasn't fair, having a deck of magic cards and a Persona. Well, he could at least keep his Persona from attacking.
"Why don't you just shut up already?" Adachi said. His Persona began to whisper something intelligible, and a purplish mist filled the alleyway. The attack, Foolish Whisper, would inflict Silence on anyone who had the luck to get affected by it. At the very least, it would hopefully silence Diabound so Adachi could focus on the No-Head Knight.
Once the mist faded, Adachi held out his hand. Magatsu Izanagi lifted its blade, and bolts of lightning flew out from it at the other Bakura and the creatures he had summoned.

The other Bakura knew occult chanting when he heard it. After all, he'd used it on more than a few occasions himself. It had come from the man's "Persona" as he had called it, which at this point the other Bakura was convinced was merely a foreign word for Ka. Which meant it was one of those spells that only a Ka could cast, similar to the varied abilities of that priest's Illusion Magician. Or Black Magician after he killed hiimself to protect his Pharaoh.
He could feel that the No Head Magician was effected by the spell. He wasn't quite sure how, but he saw no issues with it at the moment. It remained on guard and its strength hadn't changed. Before he could do much else with the situation, however, the Maziodyne ripped into him and his two summoned Ka. The No Head Knight was destroyed, but it didn't seem to effect the other Bakura. However, he got a double whammy thanks to it doing a fair amount of damage to Diabound on top of hitting him as well.
Despite being on the packed dirt of the alley, he was pushed back a few inches. He was grinning. This was an interesting fight. The only ones within his memory that had stood up this well were the Pharaoh's priests. Okay, actually they'd repelled him from the Throne room then. This was getting to be problematic. He reached into his left pocket again and pulled out the gun, looking at it. Point and pull, right? He noted a tab on the side and with the knowledge of his host flicked it. The next thing Adachi would find would be the teenage bodied thief pointing a gun with the safety off at his chest... and rather well considering he barely knew what the damn thing was.
"I wonder how much damage this can do?" the other Bakura said in an almost melodic voice, his cruel grin and gaze fixed on Adachi. It was certainly taunting. Diabound looked ready to strike as well. He had applied a small amount of pressure to the trigger. Odds were if he were hit again, his finger would snap down whether he wanted it to or not.

Adachi flinched when the other Bakura took out the gun. And then he paled when the other Bakura switched off the safety. Shiiiiiiiiit. This was not good at all. He had been hoping that this weird kid didn't know how to use a gun properly because he was Japanese, but it looked like he'd been wrong.
"H-Hey, let's put the gun down already, Ryou-kun..." Adachi said, trying to be a bit friendlier and defuse the situation. Meanwhile, Magatsu Izanagi took up a defensive position between Adachi and Bakura. It would hurt a lot if Magatsu Izanagi got shot, but it wouldn't kill him like it would if Adachi got directly hit by the bullet.

The other Bakura wasn't stupid enough to drop his guard in his confusion. But he was confused for a moment, Adachi would be able to see it in his eyes. He kept the gun level as he spoke, but his light pressure on the trigger didn't change.
"Ryou? Oh, right. Heh, I'm not Ryou Bakura," he said, "Although I suppose this is his body. My name is Anpu."
It was unlikely Adachi would know the significance behind the name. Most people knew the god he had taken the name from as "Anubis", after all. Anpu took a step forward and gestured with his free hand.
"I'll lower the gun if you send away your Ka... or Persona, whatever you call it. I didn't bring you here to fight, but I won't hesitate to dispel your 'Persona' and kill you if it becomes necessary. Your position means nothing to me, and I highly doubt you're as high ranking as the Pharaoh's priests."
Diabound's "tail" hissed at Magatsu Izanagi. Both the eyes on the snake and the main body were glaring, and it left little room for doubt that "Anpu" would go through with his threat. He took another step forward, and would now have a point blank shot at Magatsu Izanagi. The way he held himself made it clear he had the dexterity to pull the trigger before Magatsu Izanagi could connect with an attack.

I really hate cursed Egyptian artifacts! Adachi said to himself. And that name the kid had used... Anpu, he'd heard it somewhere, but he'd heard a LOT of names lately. But one thing stuck out in Adachi's mind. This person kept saying "Pharaoh." And it didn't sound like this "Anpu" was on good terms with that Atem kid.
Adachi dissipated his Persona. "You said 'Pharaoh', right? Hey, I don't like him either.... So why don't you please lower the gun?"
He really needed that gun back. That was the only reason he'd even joined the police force in the first place over a year ago. He really didn't want to lose his gun. And he'd get in massive trouble if the chief found out about him losing it to some psychotic kid with split-personality disorder.

Anpu didn't move for a few moments. Even after the amusing news that the Pharaoh had garnered enemies in this world as well. After a few moments he lowered the arm and in a flash of light Diabound vanished.
"I can get this back anytime, just to let you know," he tossed the gun back towards Adachi, without putting the safety back on.

Adachi lept forward and grabbed the gun, nearly dropping it a couple times before he finally got a good hold on it. He breathed a sigh of relief once he finally grabbed it, and then the gun discharged a bullet. Adachi screamed, jumped back from where the bullet had lodged itself into the ground, and fumbled with the gun until he found the safety switch and turned the safety back on.
"...Please don't take it again," Adachi said meekly. Well, at least this Anpu wasn't trying to kill him again. Though with how the kid had thrown the gun, it wouldn't surprise him if he was...
This kid reminded him of someone. Someone psychotic, who really wanted to kill him, who could sneak up on people without them realizing... he had silver hair too. Oh, god dammit.
