PBA: Cinnamon Challenge

Okay. So I'm dying right now. Have been since one o'clock. "Why?", you may ask. I'll tell you why.

The Cinnamon Challenge: A little challenge known well amongst culinary students. You fill a tablespoon measure with cinnamon, and then have to swallow it all at once.

During culinary class, my fellow classmate Dale- the only person in our class to have done it- dared me to do it for twenty bucks. Not knowing the consequences, and liking the idea of a free twenty, I accepted.

WORST. MISTAKE. OF. MY. LIFE.

This is what happens when you try to swallow a tablespoon of cinnamon all at once:

1. It dries your mouth out in a second, blocking your throat.
2. It takes FOREVER to wash out of your mouth, and gets stuck in your teeth.
3. It BURNS and goes up into your nasal passages, and out your nose in a cloud.
4. You will be spitting up and blowing out cinnamon-tinted gunk for hours.
5. It will continue to burn your nose and sinuses for hours.
6. The burn will move to your eyes, and your eyeballs will feel ON FIRE.
7. It will give you a MAJOR HEADACHE.

What's the lesson here?

DO NOT. EVER. TRY THE. CINNAMON. CHALLENGE.
