(OOC: Rei no Kaado Plot. Me and FF. Ideologically sensitive, not that its a problem on this board but just letting you know. The main characters are in the middle of plans to war against God. 'nuff said, methinks)
A portal opened up at the ITS. It was a fairly standard portal, made of the same black miasma that formed the void. The same miasma that really formed most portals, although often enough people never really looked at the things for long. After a few seconds of nothing happening and no one caring, a bit of blood red sparks danced around the edge and into the center before vanishing with a crackle. Still, nothing to raise eyes, and considering the Island, even those that exited weren't raising any eyes.
The first person to come out had been to the Island before, although there was no one in the area that would know him. He was still recognizable as the same person from before, although he did seem to have a slight personality shift. Seem really was the operative word, those that knew him better realized it was just his real personality. He'd once been known as Naoya Kimura, but one would be lucky to get a response from him if you used either of those names now.
His arms weren't through the sleeves on what many, including his former guardians, had called a glorified poncho. It stayed slung over his shoulders via a small black chain clasp over his the jacket of his black suit. The man seemed to have a thing for black, but he had the kind of look that made you decide not to question his choice of clothing. He glared at the few people stupid enough to stare as he stepped to the side. With the portal open...
"Alright, it's clear,"
A harsh looking young man came out next, followed by a black thing that looked, and indeed was, a demon. The first man, named Cain, frowned. Apparently Seth had decided to go with Abel as opposed to coming out ahead. Well, maybe it was better. Seth wasn't a push over, he could defend himself. And it was better he stay near their King for the time being. Last thing the group needed was for Abel to get pissed right out of the starting gates.
The harsh looking young man, named Tadashi but called Kaido by everyone, raised his eyebrows as he looked around. There were a lot of people here. People being a loose term, a good portion of them weren't anything near human. And from what Cain had said of the Island, a lot of them weren't demons, either. He glanced towards the portal as the demon named Nyarlathotep flew to Cain's side.
"Yo, Atsuro! Get your butt out here, it's like something out of a high budget convention!" Well, maybe not, but he figured it would get Atsuro moving.

The next person to step out of the portal was Atsuro, who had reacted to what Kaido had said, and decided to take a look at things himself. The scenery was a welcome change from the dreary landscape of the Demon Realm and the no-longer so welcome landscape of the human world.
"Really?" Atsuro asked as he stepped through the portal. In a way, this place kind of was. He was almost tempted to believe that some of these people were just really dedicated cosplayers, but it looked too real for a cosplay. He looked around at some of the technology. "Wow. I'd love to get a look at what these things are made of. I mean, I know I'm more of a fan of the programming aspect, but I'd still love to take a look inside."
The next people to step out would be the King of Bel himself, Abel, and his twin and "Prince", Seth. The blue haired, cloak wearing teen had once gone by the name of Keiichi Kimura, but not so much anymore. He didn't smile toward Atsuro, but he was actually amused at how Atsuro was reacting toward his first experience on the island. It was just that Abel, even at his most human, couldn't show such emotions.
"It doesn't seem that much time has passed since we left. Still autumn," Abel noted. Atsuro turned toward him, still grinning.
"This is still a pretty impressive place! Is the whole Island like this?" Atsuro asked.
"No."
"Oh." Atsuro said. He suddenly noticed Abel had pulled out his COMP, an object Abel barely even touched anymore. "What're you doing?"
"I'm sending a message to our old friends Yuugi and Atem," Abel said. He was certainly getting to the point.
"Yuugi and Atem, wow," Atsuro said again. He still couldn't believe that K1 had met the actual Yuugi and Atem from the show. At the moment, he was at the happiest he'd been in quite a few weeks. He supposed it was the whole "vacation" aspect, plus it was a new moon.

Seth was the last one to come out of the portal. Cain entered a few commands into his COMP, and the portal sparked closed. He had gotten help from some of the demons in the Palace on that side for the number of people they had needed to move. Nyarlathotep hadn't chosen to go into Cain's COMP, and with them not sharing a contract for some time, Cain hadn't argued. He was a bit annoyed at how amused Nyarlathotep was at the idea of returning to the Island. In fact, it was via the demon they'd known the Island was still there.
"It's doubtful much time has passed," Cain stated, "I'd say no more than two weeks, on the generous outside."
Seth walked up beside Abel. He would give a wry grin if his twin looked his way. It was likely, even at the time of the month of their homeworld, that Abel was getting annoyed with his proximity. It was only during the new moon he could explain to his twin why he stayed close without the worry of reprimand. On that note, he'd gotten physically reprimanded a few times during the past full moon. Even if Keiichi understood why he stuck close, it got on Abel's nerves. He heard Abel mention contacting Yuugi and Atem, and while he didn't think it was a good idea, said nothing.
Cain squinted as he looked towards the sky, "It will probably take a while for it to settle in, but the moon is still waning here. Your majesty, it might effect your temperament, please keep it in mind."
Seth got a little tense at that comment. Waning. Waning. He let out a breath. Which meant it was headed towards the new moon. Some stroke of luck meant they'd have more time with Keiichi than Abel. Kaido was glancing around, but he stopped when he heard the mention of the names Yuugi and Atem. He wasn't quite sure what they were talking about, but considering Atsuro's reaction it was probably something to do with anime.
"Where we going, anyhow?"
Nyarlathotep smiled in that odd way the demon had. Yuugi and Atem were likely still with Souji and Minato. He ignored the annoyed look Cain gave him out of the corner of his eye. He'd only really had a chance to mess with Souji before, but he could have fun with Minato now too. He leaned close to Cain.
"General, it is possible this world is still headed for The Fall," the demon said.
"I am aware of that. Know your place," Cain warned.

Abel looked toward Seth, and went back to the short message he was writing on the COMP. Even now he had issues writing quick messages on the COMP. There was a good reason why back during the lockdown, most of his replies had just been one or two word answers, not page-long epics like Atsuro tended to write. On the bright side, at least he didn't use chatspeak and smilies.
He didn't react as Cain gave his warning. He was well aware he needed to watch his temper. He'd been working at keeping better control of himself since the incident over a month ago that had lead to Kikuri-Hime's death. That didn't mean that he hadn't lost his temper a few times over how Seth had been staying so close to him.
He didn't look up as Kaido asked his question. "The hotel. There's an apartment complex, but Cain turned in the key for our old apartment when we left to return to our world. but first, I would like to see what our old 'friends' are up to."
"Friends." That was a way to put it. In truth, K1 hadn't left on good terms with Yuugi and Atem, and K1 hadn't exactly been too close to the other members of the large group. But Abel was rather interested in finding out what they had been through since they'd left. Hardly much time ever passed here without something happening. The death clocks around the area proved that. Those people who had numbers all had various different numbers over their heads.
Atsuro grinned. "Well, as long as we have some place to stay, I suppose."
There was finally a beep as Abel's message was sent. It was a short, simple one.
He'd added the K1 part to make sure they knew it was him. After all, they hadn't seen him since he'd changed to using the Abel name.

Cain doubted any of Abel's previous "friends" would want to see him. No, he was pretty sure Yuugi would want to patch things up. The problem was he'd want to patch them up with Keiichi. While that personality was prominent, he'd tightened up a bit on the Island. The General couldn't help but think he wanted to see them for conflict purposes. He was more demon than human, after all.
Kaido looked exasperated. That meant they were probably going to be waiting here. He sighed and glanced at Nyarlathotep. The demon returned his glare with a smirk. Kaido had never liked the damn thing. Seth looked around, and saw a relatively empty area. It had a table and it looked like it was probably set up for people to eat it.
"Abel-ousama, should we find someplace to sit...?"
Abel-ousama, because even with the new and waning moon taken into account, he seemed more Abel than Keiichi. Maybe it was because the two different worlds had conflicting moon phases. Maybe it was because his twin had decided coming here wasn't the greatest idea after all. The bottom line was that he was being curt and had a tone that expected to be followed. He'd been in such a good mood before they'd arrived, so the Prince could only hope it was the moon phases.
Really, he didn't want to be here. This world only had bad memories for him. But he didn't like putting a full room between himself and Abel. Let alone an entire dimension. Atsuro seemed relaxed enough, so Seth chose to focus on that. Something like a bitter smile came to his lips with that focus. His eyes remained fairly distant, though.

Abel replied to Seth without even turning toward him. "Yes, I suppose we should find somewhere to sit."
Atsuro was still in as much as a good mood as he could be at the moment. Had Cain spoken what he'd been thinking, Atsuro would have ended up agreeing, though. Abel really did seem like he wanted to see his old friends just for the conflict. The implied quotes around friends in that Abel had said before suggested that he really didn't want to see them either.
Abel adjusted his headphones a little bit, and sighed before walking toward that same empty table Seth had been looking toward before. After a moment, Atsuro followed over.
Atsuro really couldn't think of much to say, even with how much of a good mood he was in today. Seth hadn't been the only one who had been reprimanded by Abel for stepping out of line before, after all.

Damn, it was bad. Seth looked away as Abel continued to speak curtly. If it was a waxing moon, he'd understand it. But he seemed upset about something, as far as he was able with his limited emotions. It had to be Yuugi-tachi. If he was that upset, why did he invite them? Seth bit his lip as a thought occurred. It might be better if they didn't come. After all, Abel had been pretty cold towards Yuugi when he had left.
Seth fell into step besides Atsuro. Problem was, with them all in a group like this, they couldn't talk freely. Not with Abel in some kind of sour mood. He tried to give an apologetic look towards Atsuro, as if Abel's mood were somehow his fault. It didn't come across well, in any case. What with his eyes not doing much for carrying emotions. Kaido was with Cain, and Nyarlathotep took the rear. There was enough froom for them to all sit down comfortably, but Nyarlathotep remained floating. Awkward silences like these were usually when Abel was left mostly alone, but there wasn't really anything for them to do right now.
----------
Kaiba hadn't had much luck with his looking for other accomodations that morning. It was back to people not knowing who he was. It was more than a little irritating, his influence meaning nothing in this world. He'd been looking for about two hours now, and while Void City was large it wasn't massive. It was smaller than Tokyo, in either case. Money was the issue, and he despised the idea of getting a job. He had a job, and while a lot of people argued he was handed it on a silver platter, they didn't understand what he'd gone through to become the president of Kaiba Corporation. Gozaburo hadn't handed it to him in the least.
He looked fairly annoyed as he was walking through the ITS. He'd finally gotten information that might prove useful. Apparently this place connected to several realities. He hadn't bothered asking about his own reality, people on the Island seemed to busy telling him that he'd be stuck here unless he was someone really famous like Mario. Mario, a video game character. That had irked him a bit.
He didn't even notice the new arrivals as he passed by their area. When he had first arrived on the Island, he might have. Especially Nyarlathotep. But odd apperances were a dime a dozen. It had struck him as almost humorous he'd yet to see hair that out did Atem's, though. Apparently it wasn't just in their world those two set records.

Abel sat down next to Seth at the table, while Atsuro took up a position on the other side of Seth. This really was odd behavior for Abel, even with the mood he was in. Atsuro was already starting to lose his good mood. Which probably had a lot to do with that look Seth had given him earlier.
A couple minutes passed, and there was a beep as Abel's COMP recieved a reply from Yuugi. "He says he's coming now, not sure if he's bringing anyone else," Abel said. He didn't specify who the person he was talking about was. He placed the COMP back in his pocket, and went back to waiting.
Atsuro was glad when he caught glimpse of someone he never thought he'd see, but considering Abel had said he'd met Yuugi and Atem, probably shouldn't be too surprising. He stood up and waved to Kaiba. "Heeeeeeey! Kaiba! Screw the rules, you've got money, right?" That last part was said in rather bad english, and it actually managed to get a reaction from Abel.
"...What?" Abel asked. "Atsuro, is this some kind of anime thing?"
"Yeah! That guy's Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh, the same show Yuugi and Atem are from!" Atsuro said.
"If you say so," Abel said. He resumed being bored.

Seth looked up as as Atsuro yelled, and then subsequently winced. Oh god, he hadn't just done that, had he? Seth knew about the Abridged Series, one of his friends had forced him to watch it a few times. He'd never really seen the actual show, having always thought it some odd animation based on a game. And while there was some humor to the few episodes of the Abridged Series he'd been forced through, it just wasn't his thing. But he'd met Yuugi and Atem. They were real people, and Atsuro was treating the man like he was out of an anime... which he was, but not here.
Cain had facepalmed at Atsuro. His thoughts were somewhat similar to Seth's. Kaiba hadn't been here before, but if he was from the same "show" as Atem and Yuugi, it didn't make him any less real. He'd actually worried something like this was going to happen. He'd didn't run around using insults like otaku, he tended to be more creative, but right now Atsuro was a shining example. This was not a convention, this was reality. Kaido looked up and narrowed his gaze. Nyarlathotep had turned towards the teenager in the white trencoat as well.
Kaiba stopped as he heard someone say his name. He hadn't been paying attention to the first part, but that had been his name. Then came the poorly pronounced English, which the Island didn't cover because Atsuro was making a point of speaking in another language. Really, only one thought passed through Kaiba's mind.
What the hell?
He turned towards the group at the table and shot a rather nasty glare at Atsuro. He'd understood the teenager. His English was fluent and even though the one with the hat had mauled it, he'd been able to figure it out. There were a lot of ways he could have reacted to that. There was his initial reaction of wondering what the hell was wrong with the other teenager. Then there was the fact that someone actually knew him. He rather doubted it was someone from his world, though. Unless they were trying to get killed.
He narrowed his gaze and glared at Atsuro. Kaido looked about ready to launch from his seat when Cain grabbed the collar of his shirt, almost choking him. He didn't say anything, just looked at the younger man. Yes, Kaiba was walking towards them quickly, but it wasn't a case of needing to fight just yet. Nyarlathotep flapped his wings to go back a few. Kaiba was at the table, disregarding the others and glaring at Atsuro.
"Who the hell are you?" he stated. He didn't seem to have taken the taunt all that well...

Atsuro had hit full fanboy mode as Kaiba turned his way, and Abel found it his turn to facepalm. He sighed as Kaiba walked their way. Well, at least Atsuro had caught Kaiba's attention. Abel supposed he could possibly find out if Yuugi and Atem were on their way... oh, who was he kidding. Yuugi definitely was.
Before Atsuro could respond to Kaiba, Abel responded first.
"His name is Atsuro Kihara, better known as Otakuro. And as you can see, he just lived up to his nickname," Abel said. He had to admit, the trenchcoat this man was wearing was rather impressive. Abel wore this cape to seem more impressive, though now he was wondering if this trenchcoat would work better.
Atsuro looked a little put off by Abel's comment, but in truth he was glad. That sounded almost like the old K1.
"Er... sorry, I got kinda carried away," Atsuro said.

Kaiba had decided something was very wrong with the teenager that had first addressed him. Because rather than acting intimidated he had a grin that looked like it would break his face at any moment. And it had hit as he stormed over there. He turned his gaze towards the boy that seemed to be at the head of the group as he spoke. Kaiba didn't like his eyes. They reminded him far too much of the eyes of those brainwashed by Malik.
Otakuro? Kaiba scowled. Right, with people like Mario being talked about as real, it only stood to reason that somehow or another some worlds knew about his own. Which meant.. Kaiba straightened up and glared at Atsuro, the glare deepening with the apology. Kaiba didn't mind that the other boy knew him, he minded that Atsuro looked ready to squee.
"Tell him to learn some manners," Kaiba ordered.
Ordered, not requested. The tall teenager had already figured out who among the group seemed to be in charge. Despite being one of the youngest there. The sixteen year old Fortune 500 business president knew age had little to do with position. He looked like he was going to leave.
Cain had remained silent during the conversation. He meant it when he'd used nonverbal communication to tell Kaido they weren't looking for a fight. He kept a firm grasp on the back of Kaido's shirt collar and glanced towards Abel. There was a chance their King wasn't going to take being ordered well. Seth looked nervous, as the same thought had crossed his mind. He'd seen signs of Keiichi, but still. Ordered?

And of course, Abel did not take being ordered around too well. The moment Kaiba finished his sentence, Abel stood up and glared at Kaiba. Atsuro looked toward Abel, and Atsuro didn't sit down. But the look like he was about to practically squee pretty much dropped. It looked like Kaiba was about to get himself killed at this rate.
"I'm sorry, but did you just order me to tell my friend to learn some manners? I think you should learn some yourself, Kaiba," Abel practically growled. "Unless you feel like dying today, I would suggest that you leave."
"Abel, it's okay," Atsuro said, but he didn't think Abel had heard him, until Abel sat back down in the chair again.
"Unless you happen to know if Yuugi and Atem are on their way here, leave," Abel ordered Kaiba.

Kaiba didn't move an inch as Abel stood up. He didn't even break his gaze, keeping it fixed on the other teenager. In some kind of flimsy defense, he didn't know about Abel's position. To shatter the defense, he probably wouldn't have cared. Abel let out the first part of his sentence with a growl, and Seth's eyes widened. He stood up quickly, within seconds of Abel.
The second half of Abel's little threat/promise, however, did get a reaction. A narrowed gaze and perhaps a flinch. Because the teenager hadn't sounded like he was kidding. Cain reached into a pocket of his cloak, but he still kept his hand around Kaido's shirt collar. Kaido jerked a bit at it, but the grasp was firm. If Kaiba wasn't an idiot, he'd take Abel's "advice".
Atsuro called the teenager Abel. A rather western name. Kaiba didn't want to give ground, but he'd noticed the entire group tense. He doubted it was a full bluff for that, if nothing else. He made a tch noise that was not unsimilar to one's Kaido was known for making and took a step back. He didn't have time for this nonsense, anyhow. He was about to turn to leave when Abel mentioned Yuugi and Atem. He stopped as Seth was sitting back down a moment after Abel did.
"Why would they be headed here?" he asked.
His voice still sounded pretty overconfident, but it wasn't a demand. He was looking Abel in they eyes again. It still reminded him of the simpleton when Malik had had him brainwashed. In that regard, it was possible that someone had Abel brainwashed. As for the question, it was really only Atsuro of the current group who'd get why he suddenly got reinterested in conitnuing the exchange.
No, Kaiba thought to himself, First off, since when do you go that route with a situation? More importantly, his companions are acting like this is normal...

Abel had thought that Kaiba had been scared away by his threat, until Kaiba asked about Yuugi and Atem. Abel crossed his arms and continued looking Kaiba in the eye as he gave his response.
"Because I called them down here. I came back to the Island for a vacation, and thought it might be nice to see some old 'friends' again," Abel stated. He didn't break his gaze with Kaiba the whole time he spoke. "Again, unless you have any useful information for me, leave."
Atsuro finally relaxed a bit and sat back down. It didn't look like Abel was going to kill Kaiba at this point, thankfully. But Abel had been thrown into a rage rather easily. Then again, people ordering around Abel's own servants was one of Abel's pet peeves he'd gained since becoming king. It was still something to be worried about.

Kaiba raised an eyebrow. Friends? Right, Yuugi. He looked a bit annoyed. Abel had put spoken quotes around that line. So whatever the other teenager was saying, it was clear he didn't really believe it. Kaiba regarded Abel for a moment. He might have left had Abel not ordered him, again. He wasn't sure who the teenager thought he was, but Atsuro seemed to know who he was. He doubted the black cloaked teenager held any more authority here than he did. There was some rather visible tension going on between the two.
"It's in your best interest to listen to him," Cain stated somewhat darkly. Kaido had settled down a bit finally.
----------
Atem had caught up with Yuugi. He didn't know what his Partner was expecting from the meeting, but he doubted it would happen. The way K1 had been acting when he left, the way he'd simply written "goodbye" in that final message... there was no guarantees K1 wasn't trying to hurt Yuugi. His Partner had the Pendant, that was rather in K1's advantage at the moment. He narrowed his eyes, aware Yuugi wasn't watching him.
Yuugi came to a stop when he saw Kaiba's trenchcoat. It was the first thing about him most people saw. Atem saw the person Kaiba was staring at. For a moment, even Atem didn't recognize him. Yuugi felt a reaction from the Pendant and looked down before looking over to where Kaiba was staring. He recognized K2 and Naoya before he realized it was K1 Kaiba was staring at. Atem was about to say something when Yuugi ran forward, disregarding the feeling from the pendant and putting on a large grin.
"K1-kun!"
Kaiba broke the gaze he had locked with Abel and turned towards the familiar voice. Yuugi, and of course, Atem. K1? He glanced back towards Abel's group. Either that was the name of one of the unnamed members or Abel went by several names. He was quick to decide on the latter. He made another tch noise and stepped back. Yuugi made friends with everyone, but even for the short teenager this seemed a bit much.
Atem kept his eyes locked on Abel as he walked forward. Souji, Naoto, and Kanji had joined them, but they were still a bit back. He doubted Souji would be giving Abel a glare that was any friendlier. Abel, as Atem thought of him, even now. He didn't need the Pendant to tell there was something severely wrong, severely dark with the teenager. His gaze was meant to inform him that he would not take kindly to any abuse towards the group, especially Yuugi. He was ignoring Kaiba for the time being.
