At about 11:45, K1 arrived in the Plaza. He was sitting down at a Cafe, waiting for Souji to arrive. One hand was in his pocket, keeping a tight grip on his COMP, and the other was on the umbrella he'd recieved earlier that day. It had started raining earlier that day, and hadn't quite stopped yet.
As long as it didn't make things get foggy, though, things would be fine. Or so K1 had heard.
Souji was running to K1, if only to get out of the rain. He stopped once under the large umbrella at K1's table.
"Where's Yuugi-san and Naoya-san?" Souji asked. K1 shrugged.
"Not here yet, I guess," K1 said.

Yuugi was running. For some reason or another his COMP hadn't gone off. Actually, he knew why. He'd forgotten to set it. He was still a little sore from his other self's idea of "training" earlier that day, actually. It was the reason why he'd forgotten to set the COMP. By some miracle or another he'd woken up about ten minutes ago. And been forced to book it towards the Plaza. He was lucky he'd remembered his umbrella.
He was wearing a ruffled version of the outfit he'd worn earlier that day. Even some of the scuff marks from falling down while training were still there, especially on the jeans. He had to do laundry tomorrow. He had actually planned on doing it tonight, but Atem had insisted they train more. That attempt to get out of it had failed.
The only real difference than usual, however, was the sword at his side. He'd had to modify his choker into a sort of adustable sheath bit. The stitching looked rather poor. It meant he no longer had his belt-like choker. The small silver chain around his neck was still concealed, but he was running in a way that had caused the cartouche with the heiroglyphics for Atem to hang out.
Atem was a little annoyed, but it could be worse. It seemed they'd get there in time, and it was really all that mattered. Yuugi'd closed the umbrella, realizing the way he was running made it rather pointless. He saw K1 and Souji and ran up, putting his hands on his knees and panting. Five minutes left until midnight.
"S-Sorry I'm late..." he panted.
It was around this time K1's COMP beeped. It was an e-mail.
It was a bit shorter than Naoya was known for, actually. However, judging by when it had arrived, it was possible he had rushed it.

K1 smiled. "It's no prob, Yuugi."
Once his COMP beeped, K1 read the mail. "Oh, that's just great." He sighed. "We're going to be down one person. Naoya can't make it for some reason."
Souji checked his watch. "Two minutes until midnight. Hurry up and summon your demons."
K1 nodded, and opened up the demon summoning screen. After thinking for a minute, he decided Culebre and Rangda would be good for tonight's operation again, and summoned the two. Culebre flew around a bit before landing on K1's head. As it was, the dragon was quite large and not very light, so it caught K1 by surprise.
"Ow! Hey, get--"
And then the Dark Hour hit.
Everyone in the plaza turned into coffins, and there were pools of blood everywhere. The rain did not stop. In fact, it wasn't raining water anymore. It was raining blood. K1 shivered and looked up at the sky. "...I think I know why that lady wanted us to have the umbrellas now," K1 mumbled.
There was rumbling in the distance. Hearing it, Souji turned around towards the Hotel. As it was, the Hotel wasn't looking much like a hotel anymore. The jumbled conglomerations of buildings building up around it made it look a lot different.
"I think we found our Tartarus," Souji said.

Yuugi, unfortunately, had gotten a little "wet". He practically dove under the umbrella the other two teens were under and made a rather understandable face. More than ever he was grateful the blood seemed to revert to water after the Hour. However, he decided then he was going to use extra soap when he washed these.
"She really was we-" however, the rumbling cut him off. His first thought was an earthquake, which made a bit of sense considering his country of origin. However, it didn't take much for him to realize that something straight out of Dali's mind had risen where the Hotel should be.
Hell, it even had clocks.
"A-Are we going in there?" It was meant to be a rhetorical question. He fumbled with his umbrella to pop it open as he prepared to go out in that... "rain" with the others.

"Doesn't look like we have much of a choice," Souji said. He walked out from under the large umbrella, making sure to open his umbrella back up again before doing so. He'd rather not get drenched in blood today, especially since he was wearing a white shirt at the moment. As Souji could very much attest, blood is "a bitch to get out." Even if it did turn back to water after an hour.
K1 turned to Rangda after pulling Culebre off of his head. "I don't think you two will need an umbrella." Rangda scowled, and pulled the umbrella out of the table, showering little droplets of blood everywhere. K1 winced. "Fine, fine. Let's go."
After walking through the rain of blood for a few minutes, the group reached Tartarus. There were a lot of clocks on the front of the building too.
"Our Shadow friend is probably waiting inside," Souji said. He turned to Yuugi and K1. "Are you ready?

Yuugi carefully held the umbrella as he got the sword loose. It was obvious he knew how to hold it better than any other weapon Souji or K1 had seen him with. He actually looked like he knew how to use it.
"Honestly..." Yuugi said, "No. But this sleep pattern is going to knock me down if I can't change it. K1-kun, uh... dragon-san and... um..." Yuugi shook his head. He had no idea what to call Rangda, "Are you three ready?"
It was likely a good thing K1 had heard Yuugi's conversation with his Kobold before. Otherwise it might have seemed very odd he was addressing the demons as actual party members rather than tools. Down to using an honorific for them.

Rangda scowled. "Witch-san will work, thank you."
K1 sighed. "I'm as ready as I can be right now. Let's go on in."
Souji nodded, and pushed open the door to Tartarus.
The inside of Tartarus was beautiful and surreal. Lots of the building seemed to have Greek imagery, which made sense, since Tartarus was of Greek origin. In the background, Souji could see bits of the building shifting around. There was a door that lead up to higher parts of the building that just seemed to float in midair, as well as the stairs that lead up to it. The door was made of clockwork.
However, the surreal beauty of the inside was a bit lessened by the small fact that there was a shadow with many arms and many weapons in the foyer.
"...Well, that's just lovely," K1 said sarcastically.

"Right. Sorry..." Yuugi said, not realizing that Rangda scowled that way at everybody.
He followed the group inside. Souji was in his familiar position of lead, and Yuugi was holding back a bit more. He had to work at not being at the back, but Atem had a good point when he said that K1 could fight from a distance. Him, not so much.
Yuugi gripped the sword tighter when he saw the Shadow in the room. Souji probably noticed the door to the side. It actually looked pretty plain, but something in his pocket was reacting to it. The fact that Yuugi wasn't commenting about the door or the soft blue light... well, that pretty clearly indicated where the door lead.
"You ready for this, partner?"
"As ready as I'll ever be..." Yuugi responded out loud. He didn't sound "ready" at all. He winced at his own lack of confidence. Something told him if he didn't do good here, there'd be more training. His arms hurt just thinking about it.
He glanced down at his pocket. At least he could help heal the group. Of course, that gave the Shadow an opening if it wanted to attack...
(OOC: I'm gonna have you control it for the most part. XD)

Souji looked back at the group, and then whispered a few orders. "Yuugi, I'll distract it. You just work on healing us. K1, you attack from afar using your demons. In case you need to defend yourself, here," He handed the sword to the blue haired teen, who held onto it with both hands.
"...This thing's heavy," K1 said, stating the obvious.
"It'll work. Alright, now let's--" Souji stopped. The Shadow had turned their way, looking at the group with that blue mask it wore. Once it noticed them, it started scuffling across the floor, right towards K1.
"Why do they always attack me?!" K1 complained. "Culebre, Bufudyne!" The dragon flew over the shadow before unleashing the ice spell, sealing it in a block of ice before the ice shattered again. The Shadow roared with pain before glowing white. A few of its wounds healed up.
"...Oh, that's just GREAT!" K1 yelled. "Rangda, Diajama!"
The witch held her hands out, attempting to curse the shadow. Souji was holding the Shadow back with Black Frost at the moment.
"What are you doing?!" Souji yelled at K1.
"Trying to seal its healing skills! Give me a second!" K1 yelled back.

Yuugi nodded. It gave him an excuse to not have to try the sword. Although it meant he'd have to prove he could actually use it tomorrow. He'd known Atem could be tough, but that hadn't been a fun experience. However, he ran backwards, trying to get out of the reach of the Shadow as he pulled Nefertum's card out of his pocket. He quickly crushed it in his hands, not aware that it could be activated by any number of other means.
Nefertum appeared above the teen, and Yuugi held his sword at ready. He blinked a few times and looked up at Nefertum. The Persona nodded down at him and pointed its gold ankh-like staff at the large shadow.
To everyone's surprise, even Yuugi's (albeit to a lesser extent), a green mist swirled around the staff and what looked like colored wind blasted at the Shadow. It certainly wasn't a healing skill, and it was likely Souji would recognize it as Garu. After all, Yosuke was capable of it himself. Even K1 might have recognized it as a skill known as Zan. Yuugi wasn't sure when Nefertum had learned it... being completely unaware that his own recently gained skills in a fight meant all sides of him had grown, including his inner feelings.

The Garu attack hit just as Rangda's Diajama finally affected the Shadow, causing it to skid across the nice marble floors and leave several scratches in them. Inwardly, Souji lamented the loss of such good flooring. The Shadow began to try to heal itself once more, but to no avail; the injuries remained.
"Finish it off!" Souji yelled. Black Frost held its hand out, and the icy energy that had been forming around it before hit the Shadow, causing the shadow to fall back again. It tried to struggle to its feet again, but it collapsed, dissolving into shadowy energy. Souji breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness..." Souji said. He walked over to where the Shadow had been and picked up the blue mask it had left behind. "Hmm..."

Yuugi blinked. Compared to some of the other things... that had been awfully easy. He closed his eyes for a moment, and Nefertum vanished as the card floated down to his hand. He pocketed it, keeping his sword out as he walked over to Souji. Atem actually hadn't told him to, as was rather pleased the teen wasn't considering the situation over yet.
Yuugi looked over towards K1. The blue haired teen seemed to be okay, and he gave him a thumbs up to let him know he was okay as well. He walked over to Souji, holding back a little. He didn't want to be next to that mask... "What is that, Seta-kun?"
He wasn't sure he wanted to know, really...

Souji dropped the mask on the ground and grasped his sword again before stabbing it through the middle of it. The mask cracked and shattered, and the shards dissolved into the same shadowy mist the Shadow had.
"I thought it died too quickly," Souji said. He turned to Yuugi and K1. "It wasn't dead yet. The mask was the core of this Shadow's body. It would have just regenerated back had we left this mask here. That spell you used on it, Diajama?" Souji turned to K1. "That was what kept it from regenerating every time it attacked. But eventually it would wear off, and the Shadow would return."
"...Ah," K1 said. He turned to Rangda. "Hey, you're useful after all, Rangda!"
"...Culebre, Master wants you to nest on his head," Rangda said.
"No, wait, I--"
This was cut off by Culebre flying right into K1's face, knocking him onto the ground.
Souji chuckled, and glanced at one of the many clocks in Tartarus. "We've only got thirty minutes left of the Dark Hour. We should go. I'm not sure what happens if you stay in Tartarus when the Dark Hour's over, but I really don't want to know."

Yuugi took in a deep breath. He would have just left it there. Atem actually felt a bit stupid for not thinking of that himself. After all, the other Shadows completely disappeared. Yuugi looked over as K1 made a jab at Rangda, and began laughing when Culebre all but tackled him.
He suddenly cut short, or at least tried to, "I-I don't mean to be rude..." he didn't seem very convincing. After all he was still laughing a bit. It was a mix of several things. Relief that the fight hadn't been to bad and that K1 seemed to treat the demons like friends... that was a relief.
And what Rangda had just done, he could've seen Anzu pulling that if she'd had the power. Probably on Jounouchi. He chuckled some more.

K1 scrambled about on the ground, trying to pull Culebre off. "No, seriously guys, heeeeeeeeeelllp!"
Souji laughed. "Sorry, can't help you there, Keiichi-kun." He'd finally moved onto calling K1 "Keiichi-kun." That was a step in the right direction.
"Some friend you are," K1 mumbled. "Rangda, I order you to pull Culebre off! ...Please?" Rangda sighed. "As you wish, Master." The witch floated over to K1, and using her very sharp claws pulled the dragon off. It was painful for both K1 and Culebre. At least the dragon was off of his face now.
Despite the grumpy look on K1's face, he found what had happened slightly humorous himself. As it was, these were the happiest times that he'd had since the lockdown. He really didn't want to go back now.
