Minato blinked. Oh, right, he had. He looked toward the clerk. "Er, can we get that to go?"
The clerk slowly nodded. He already seemed to be nodding off to sleep again. Minato actually did sweatdrop this time before walking away from the counter and waiting for the clerk to call them up. Which only took a few minutes. Minato walked up to the counter and picked up his and Ryoji's burgers, which had been put in a white paper bag with the Wild Duck Burger logo stamped on the front. The clerk handed him the bag, Minato paid, and then the clerk fell asleep at the register again.
"Uh, what's with him?" Minato asked another employee as they passed by the register.
"He's a vampire and they gave him the day shift."
Minato blinked. "Really?" The employee shrugged, and he looked just as confused as Minato did. Minato blinked again, and looked toward Ryoji with a confused expression.
"Uh... maybe we should go," Minato said. They could eat their burgers on the way home.
