Atem listened as Naoto listed her issues. They were all good ones, particularly for someone couldn't know the full story behind the Items. There was a small chance of that, but Atem coudln't help but get rid of the other possibility. That Anpu wouldn't be able to express upon anyone other than Bakura.
"I'm confident he is. But if we were to leave it on its own, it would likely find its way back to Bakura," he looked frustrated and annoyed, "In any case, this is my responsibility. I'm going to head back to the apartments."
Atem turned to leave. He seemed to be holding a lot inside. His expression carried a bit more pain to it as he turned. It was his responsibility. He hadn't realized the weight of his decision before. Maybe it was the stress from the TV World... more likely it was Yuugi. His Shadow had manifested in the way it had for a reason, after all. He'd already taken a few steps.
----------
"I can't tell you what happened, not for sure," Kisa hung her head, her long white falling and concealing her face. She seemed to conceal her eyes a lot, and a blind man could see the blue eyes of the same shade that card of hers had were more than a little lovely, "But it felt as if... as if someone were trying to rip my soul out of my chest."
She held up her hand to her chest. The dark sky blue denim that made up her jacket was to either side of her open hand. She wasn't sure if soul was the right word. Life force, maybe? The core of her being? She knew there was a word for it, but she had the annoying feeling she didn't know it. How could she know there was a word for it if she didn't know the word?
"I can't describe it, I don't think I know the proper word... It was as if someone were calling me and some part of my tried to answer that call," she looked up, her eyes carrying a mix of harsh and sadness, "It hurt... in more ways than one. Does that make any sense to either of you?"
----------
Ryoji relaxed a bit as Minato returned the smile. It had worked. He gave a nod and headed towards the bathroom. He shut the door behind him and turned the water on, making sure the temperature was warm before stepping back and stripping down. Warm wasn't the best description, the water was almost scalding. But he wanted something to focus on other than his own thoughts. He was grateful Minato had soap, he'd just use what he had.
He stepped into the shower and took in a breath. The curtain was closed after that, and the bathroom was already filling up with steam. He just let the overly hot water rain down on his face with his eyes closed. It wasn't doing much for shutting his mind off. If anything, it made the nagging worse. He was in his own world with only himself to listen to. He paused, took in a breath and blew out to avoid the water that had fallen into his mouth.
"..Nyx, are you there?"

Naoto watched Atem walk away silently. The man appeared to be lost in his own thoughts at the moment, and it would probably be best to leave him alone for now. She turned back toward Kanji.
"Let's go," she said, and pulled him off toward the street.
-----------------
Souji had no clue what Kisa was going on about, but Izanagi seemed to have somewhat of a clue at least. He appeared to be thinking deeply about something before he answered Kisa.
"...This is just a theory based on what you have told me and what I have observed, so it may not be entirely correct," Izanagi stated. "You are a fan of Duel Monsters. I am not exactly sure how the mechanism works, but I know for a fact that the Duel Monsters cards from a certain world can actually manifest real monsters inside this world. These monsters are all formed from spirits... possibly gods. You carry around a card yourself, but yours is not of this variety.
"Recently, I met a man by the name of Seto Kaiba, who had the same spirit bearing cards as another friend of Souji's," Izanagi explained. "And I sensed a presence similar to your own from within that deck. It is entirely possible that you are an avatar of one of the spirits inside that deck. And Kaiba may have tried to summon that spirit to the world. That feeling you had that felt like your soul was being ripped from your body was likely his attempt to summon you, or at the very least, the god that you are an avatar of."
...Izanagi?
Yes, Souji? Izanagi replied.
Could you have put that a bit more... I dunno, could you have not just laid that all down on her like that? Souji asked.
Remembering your own experiences learning the truth? Izanagi inquired. She was naturally concerned about why she had collapsed like that. I just told her my own theories on the subject.
---------------------
Minato watched Ryoji head into the bathroom before heading into his own bedroom and pulling open the clothing drawers and pulling out some clothes for Ryoji to wear. At least they didn't have to worry about the clothes not fitting Ryoji for reasons that were slightly humorous to Minato. He set a shirt and a pair of pants to side before getting a pained expression on his face.
It wasn't even the new moon yet, and Ryoji was still having a hard time resisting Tartarus' pull. Minato had hoped that things would last longer than this... but Ryoji was already having to keep himself up at night so he didn't wander off to Tartarus on his own. So that he didn't succumb to his true nature. Minato had to wonder how much longer the two of them would have together before Ryoji finally had to leave.
He tried shaking himself out of his thoughts and moved to pull a clean pair of boxers out for Ryoji as well. Hadn't the two of them been trying to relax today? Minato didn't need to be thinking depressing thoughts like that now.

Kisa hung her head again as Izanagi spoke. The cards could summon spirits? Possibly gods? Her eyes were concealed once more by her hair. She nodded as he mentioned that her card wasn't of that variety. Of course it wasn't. She was sure she would have known if it was. She didn't lift her head as Izanagi continued. Kaiba... Seto? It was hard to see her face scrunch up. That name sounded familiar, had she heard it somewhere before?
She looked up as Izanagi said his last few lines. She seemed a little insulted. Her eyes still seemed pained, but there was a level of something else there. Anger? Harshness? Determination? It was hard to tell. She didn't say anything for several moments when she saw Izanagi's eyes seem to fade out for a bit. When they came back into focus she spoke again.
"Are you saying that every time one of them summons a spirit, someone feels what I felt? If they succeed that person dies? I won't deny the possibility that I am some god's avatar, I have... always been different. My parents are both from different Japans. My father has black hair, my mother dark brown," she lifted a strand of her white hair, "And I was born like this. I'm not albino as you can see by my eyes, but I've always been different. My ability to sense you is sign of that, I'm sure. Still... are people dying because of these cards?"
She had dropped a lot of the harsh gaze by the end. Now she just looked concerned.
----------
"I was beginning to suspect you would not contact me again."
"...What did you want to tell me?"
Nyx hung her head and closed her eyes, "Something that I think you need to know with your feelings for your... for Minato. It might help."
Ryoji grabbed the shampoo and poured some into his hand, "Go on."

Izanagi wasn't quite sure why Kisa was reacting so harshly to what he'd told her. Souji was sure, but he didn't say anything, since he wanted Izanagi to pay full attention to what Kisa was saying.
The point that Kisa had brought up about her hair was definitely explainable by her being an avatar. Souji's mother had dark brown hair herself, and Souji's father's hair was a nice shade of brown itself, though nowhere near as dark as his mother's. Souji? Stringy silver hair and grey eyes, traits found nowhere in his immediate family. They were traits that tended to appear often in Izanagi's avatars, which was why it surprised Izanagi that Izanami hadn't picked up on Souji being one of his avatars sooner.
"To be honest, I'm not really sure. But I doubt that's the case, especially since some of these spirits seem to be long dead ghosts. And if they were killing people all of the time, I highly doubt Atem and Yuugi would continue to use the cards in battle," Izanagi explained. "It may be that most of these spirits did not manifest avatars. Typically only powerful gods attempt to manifest avatars, so it's possible that it's just disembodied spirits trapped inside the card. While on the other hand, you were a manifested avatar... and someone with that particular card only recently appeared on the island."
--------------------
Minato dropped the clothes down next to the bathroom door before walking back into the bedroom and sitting down on the end of the bed. Nothing to do now but wait, he supposed.

(OOC: Nice wank on why Souji and "Mana" look like siblings. XD And lawlz on the "someone with that particular card" - Nothing like Kaiba making sure he's the only one in his WORLD with that particular card, right? XD *doubts torn cards would summon much of anything, anyhow*
This is a little long, btw)
Kisa had once more averted her gaze. At times she really seemed adverse to that. However, she had shown in this conversation alone that she had no problem with eye contact. She seemed to realize, at least somewhere, that her eye contact would have more impact if she reserved it. She had been looking Izanagi in the eyes when she asked her questions about the cards. She had dropped it around the time he mentioned Yuugi and Atem. Yuugi had been used as a name, but it was the same as the word for "game". She found herself wondering if the kanji was the same. She shook her head.
"Perhaps that explains the soul ripping feeling, but it doesn't explain it all. I told you it was painful in more ways than one, correct? I..." she held her hand to her chest again, and squeezed her eyes shut as her expression became pained, "I felt sad..."
She found herself wanting to meet this Seto. Now that she had something to work with for where that feeling had come from, she wanted to meet the person that had tried to summon her. She wasn't sure if she believed Izanagi just yet, but she was seeing no reason not to. That sadness she was sure she had felt... sad wasn't the right word. Heartbroken? That was closer, but it was so foolish sounding. So she wanted to meet this Seto.
Why was she thinking of him as Seto? His surname was Kaiba, was it not? So shouldn't she be thinking of him as Kaiba? It didn't... feel right. She seemed saddened and her head continued to hang. Did Seto know he was potentially hurting people every time he tried to call one of the spirits? Maybe Yuugi nor Atem knew, either?
She didn't want to say this out loud since Souji was listening, but if she was an avatar that could be harmed by someone trying to summon her attached "god", did that make her nothing more than a shell? Just a tool to be used? She didn't want to lose herself or have her powers used for evil. That was the last thing she wanted. If she had to lose herself, she wanted to be assured that whatever power she had was used for good. Was that too much to ask? Would Seto do that?
"I'm sorry, I'm being a fool aren't I?" Her small grin was pained.
----------
"You know of Erebus, the force that summons the Fall by my meeting with him. There is much you only know of recently in regards to the entity. Your research in that library probably brought up many conflicting stories upon his origin. You know that Thanatos is regarded as my child by mortal man... are you aware of Thanatos' father in those myths?"
"Erebus?"
Ryoji sensed pain from Nyx. Well, he hadn't known but he'd guessed based on available information. He scrubbed harder with the shampoo in his hair as he felt his heart reflect the pain. The division between Nyx and her "avatar" was becoming smaller. Of course it was, Tartarus' call was getting harder to ignore. That form necessary to summon Nyx was getting closer. He closed his eyes and waited for Nyx to respond.
"Yes. Erebus is a force that could be said to be my brother... but more than that, he is my lover. You recall the taunt from Izanagi, you know the basics. I can not meet him without the proper ritual, and a side effect of that ritual is the dimension I have been called to collapsing. Falling, if you will.
"Side effect!?"
"Ryoji, please let me continue."
Ryoji said nothing, but he looked pissed. So he existed to summon Nyx to Erebus. And the world dying was simply an inconvenient side effect? He had to lose Minato because of something as ridiculous as that? Nyx waited a few more moments before feeling she could continue.
"Ryoji, let me ask you this. If you could be guaranteed to meet Minato, to be with him, but it took the collapse of the nearest dimension, would you take it?
The teenager paused at that question. The water had dropped a few degrees by now. The shower head was over his hair and the soap was gone, but he still held it there. What kind of question was that!? And how she had said it. Be with? Did she mean... be with? He hung his head and the water began to roll down his back. Would he? Even if the reality was as important as this one?
"...I don't know," Ryoji hooked the shower head again and grabbed the bar of soap, "Why are you so willing to pull me away from Minato just to meet Erebus? Because that's what's going to happen Nyx. I'm going to lose him again because of something even you can't explain."
"Which is why I didn't want you to know. Why I'm telling you now to discard those emotions. You are Death, Ryoji. Not Ryoji, but the Arcana Shadow of Death and my avatar. I don't want you to have the same pain I have to bear."
"You really don't get it, do you?"
Nyx was startled that he was speaking out loud. Ryoji grabbed the shower head again. He'd thought she'd known, but now... he didn't think she dead. He was getting the soap off his body. She was waiting for him to continue, he could tell she really didn't know. He took in a breath.
"Death, your avatar, can bring up Ryoji whenever it feels the need to. You weren't there before, were you, right before Death was supposed to fade into the subconscious where Shadows belong only to be brought up again someplace else," Ryoji's voice was best described as off at the moment, but the shower still concealed it, "Death brought me up to speak to the survivors of S.E.E.S because it knew it didn't have the emotion for the speech."
"Death?"
Ryoji's eyes widened. His face had been devoid of emotion but now it was flooded with pain. He looked to the side and closed his eyes. Dammit, for a moment there that question had been understandable. His form might have flickered for a moment there too, he wasn't sure. He reached over and turned off the shower.
"Please... If you insist on ripping me away from Minato, leave me alone until Tartarus manages to pull me in."
Nyx hung her head, "Call me if you need me, then... Ryoji, I hoped... No, forget it. If there is anything you wish to do, I advise you do it soon. Farewell in the time you have left."
And her presence was gone.
Dammit... Dammit, were the only thoughts Ryoji could form as he began drying himself off.
The worst part is he now emphathized with the goddess. If the situation were reversed? He probably would take the same actions. That didn't make him feel better. It only meant the growing hatred he had for the goddess now extended to himself. He was no better. He took in a jagged breath and screwed on a more relaxed expression. Minato didn't need to suffer as well, so he'd fake a positive emotion. For Minato.

Izanagi allowed Kisa to go over her thoughts. She seemed to be going through a couple of emotions, all of them pained. She had said she had felt sad. It was entirely possible and entirely likely that whatever god she was an avatar of had some sort of connection to this Kaiba.
Or she's not even an avatar after all, Souji suggested. This world's different from ours. She could be some sort of reincarnation. I know that gets brought up a lot in regards to Yuugi and Atem, and Kaiba is from Yuugi's world. It's entirely possible...
Perhaps. But for the moment, I'm working with the assumption that she's an avatar, Izanagi said. There was some silence from Souji before he asked another question.
Why did you jump straight to thinking "avatar" in the first place, anyways?
I thought you might like a friend.
That was so funny I forgot to laugh.
I'm being serious, Izanagi said. His eyes were brought back into focus as he saw Kisa raise her head up to look at him again. He nodded as she asked if she was being a fool.
"Humans are naturally foolish creatures," Izanagi stated. He rested an arm on the table and leaned over a bit. Perhaps it would be a good idea for her to meet with Kaiba; at the very least she might get better answers than the hypothesizes he was giving her. He sat up and looked Kisa in the eyes.
"It may help if you just go speak to Kaiba yourself. The last time I saw him, he was hanging around the apartment complex my avatar lives in," Izanagi said. "It may help you with some of your concerns, at the very least."
--------------------
Minato had looked up as he began to hear Ryoji's voice very faintly over the shower. Very faintly because the roar of the shower was covering up almost all sounds from within the bathroom. He only managed to catch a couple words, but that was enough to tell him that Ryoji was talking to Nyx. He felt bad for eavesdropping again, but Ryoji hadn't said much to Nyx before the shower shut off, and Ryoji gave his last comment to Nyx.
That was it, then. Ryoji had been fighting with Nyx again. And it had ended in Ryoji asking Nyx to just leave him alone as long as possible. Minato couldn't claim to know what the two of them were talking about, but he had some ideas. Nyx probably wanted Ryoji to just go ahead and lose himself to that... monster.

Kisa's grin became bitter as Izanagi said that. Maybe they were, but was that a problem? She pushed down the emotions quick enough. She had asked, she was just used to people calling her silly for thinking that. She looked up in surprise as Izanagi continued. She was surprised he'd suggested that. The grin she gave this time was softer, and a bit more grateful. She then paused.
"The.. apartments?"
Her eyes had widened a bit. The apartments. The place where she would occasionally get feelings of dread from. More than that, though, the place that seemed to be... drawing her in towards it. She kept feeling like there was something she needed to do there. Her eyes widened again.
"How long has Se.. erm... Kaiba-san been there?"
----------
Ryoji wrapped the towel around his waist. He made sure it was going to stay before pushing open the bathroom door and sticking his head out. He found Minato quick enough, he was sitting on the couch. He gave a grin. If Minato hadn't heard the conversation, he might have fallen for it. The towel was long enough that the bottom edge fell about halfway down Ryoji's legs. He stepped out of the bathroom and pointed towards the bedroom.
"Are the clothes in there?"
----------
Yuugi had woken up within minutes of Atem leaving. For once he didn't feel half asleep as he came back into consciousness. With his luck he was getting used to the stress and when everything was over he'd have trouble sleeping in the calm.
If over doesn't mean over, Yuugi thought. He brushed the thought away.
The living room light was on. Atem wasn't in the living room, but Yuugi found the note quick enough. He scanned it over, finding himself almost chuckling at the calligraphy-style penmanship Atem used with kanji. It really was too fancy for modern Japanese script. Atem had gone out to find Kaiba, and Yuugi winced a bit. He hoped that would go well. After that he got changed into a casual outfit. There really was no need to wear his school uniform when he had other clean clothes. He headed out of the apartment about ten minutes after Atem, Naoto, and Kanji had met Kaiba.
When he reached the second floor he turned and tried Souji's door. It wasn't because he wanted to see Souji, actually. It was because he wanted to make sure Souji wasn't there. If Souji answered, he'd just stay there. Yuugi wondered if it made him a bad person that he was glad the silver haired teenager wasn't. Yuugi took in a breath and turned around before knocking on Adachi's door.
----------
Bakura was laying awake in bed. He felt tired, which he hadn't just a few minutes before. But now he had a feeling he would never get to sleep. He still didn't want to get up with Adachi in the living room. Was that why he couldn't sleep? Because he believed what Adachi had said first more than his cover? Bakura sat up and held his hand up to his face again. Yuugi had rescued him. Yuugi, the kid who could forgive anyone for anything it seemed like sometimes. He was debating throwing the covers off when he heard what sounded like knocking on Adachi's door.
Adachi had said he'd tried to kill Takahashi... at the very least, that they thought he had. Bakura got to his feet. He almost managed to get stuck thanks to the trenchcoat he was still wearing, but he stumbled forward and put his hand on the bedroom door. If Adachi was going to be arrested, he wanted to be there... he didn't know why, but he did.

Izanagi shrugged as Kisa asked how long Kaiba had been there. "Since the day you met Souji. I met Kaiba shortly after he arrived on the island that day; he should have settled into his apartment at the very least by now. I'm sure he has an apartment, though; he doesn't seem like the type that would lower himself to staying in a hotel."
--------------------
Minato looked up as Ryoji came out of the bathroom. Ryoji looked relaxed, in fact, he was giving a goofy grin. Considering what Minato had heard Ryoji saying in the bathroom, Minato was pretty sure it was an act. Minato still smiled back.
"Nah, I left them by the bathroom door. Unless some sort of gremlin stole them--which is entirely possible; the people in this apartment complex are weird--they should still be there," Minato said. He didn't often bother with the other people in the apartment complex, and this building seemed to be exclusively occupied by Minato's friends and enemies, which was probably why all of their running around didn't bother people too much.
-------------------
Adachi had jumped when he heard someone knocking on the door. Was it someone from the station coming to take him in? He hoped not. He hoped to whatever god that was out there that it wasn't Takahashi or Sanada or anyone like that here to take him in. He jumped up off of the couch and opened the door, pulling it open very quickly. He had not expected to see Yuugi standing there.
"Oh, Yuugi. Did you come to visit Ryou-kun?" Adachi asked. His pulse was still going faster than a racehorse. That kid had scared him. Stupid silence of these apartments was getting to him.
On that note, they seemed quieter than usual today... It was odd.

The day she met Souji. The day that she had first felt that pull. She brushed a long strand of hair out of her eyes and watched as it fell back down. Her hair seemed to have more in common with water than hair. She looked lost in thought for a moment before she gave a slight nod. She needed to meet Seto. She wasn't sure she liked the idea of a person who wouldn't "lower" themselves to staying in a hotel, but there were too many things that couldn't be ignored.
She put her hands on the table and went to stand up. She was in the middle of opening her mouth to ask Izanagi if he could help her find his specific apartment when stabbing pain hit her knees. She had enough time to remember that she had hit them rather hard and that they were bleeding before she collapsed to the side. This time she managed to scrape one of her hands on the floor. On the way down she had let out a surprised gasp. She looked like it had hurt quite a bit, too.
----------
Ryoji looked to the side and saw the clothes. He rolled his eyes at himself. He'd been so concerned with not worrying Minato he'd missed that there was an outfit right in front of him. He grabbed them and held them up.
"Thanks, I'll be right out."
He headed back into the bathroom and closed the door behind himself. He was quick to get dressed. His scarf was in the room where he had taken it off. He made sure to comb his short hair first, trying several times to get the prong like cowlicks in the front to sit down before giving up as usual and swinging the scarf around his neck. It took a bit of adjusting to get it to hang right. He pushed open the bathroom door.
"I really have no idea where to go, Minato. But I don't want to stay in here. I think I'm developing cabin fever..." he chuckled.
In the time you have left, Nyx had said. It was a common phenomenon for humans to only live life to its fullest when they knew death was impending. Well, that was pretty much what was going on here, right? Ryoji had a feeling now he wouldn't last more than a few days after the new moon, if he made it that far. That was in just under a week. There were things he wanted to do, and he'd get as much of them done as he could. One thing in particular, thanks to Nyx' jabbing, but he... his grin got wider in an attempt to cover the negative directions his thoughts were going. They really did need to get out. He really needed to be distracted.
----------
Bakura had gotten out of the bedroom door just as Adachi had answered the front door. Yuugi had jerked and taken a step back at the force in which Adachi had opened the door. He realized Adachi had been nervous about who could be opening the door quickly, though. Why would he be nervous? It was true Souji was across the hall, but Yuugi had a feeling he had the lightest knock of the entire group. He scratched the back of his head and was about to answer when Bakura spoke first.
"Yuugi-kun, why are you here...?"
"Bakura-kun, are you okay!?"
Yuugi slipped past Adachi, his concern for his friends being one of the few things able to outweigh his polite nature. Bakura looked startled at the force in which Yuugi asked his question, but his gaze softened. It was pained, but somehow grateful a well. He nodded and pointed at the gauze over his face. He'd placed the surgical tape back, but it was peeling a bit more now because he'd pulled it off once already.
"I'm alive, in any case. Adachi-san took care of it," Bakura said, not being able to know for sure but inferring from the situation.
"I'm so glad..." Yuugi said, his own expression pained but sounding about as glad as a person could, "How... how are you feeling?"
Yuugi knew being here would upset some of his friends. Souji for sure. What Adachi had done was as bad as what Malik had done ot his friends. Used them, played with them, all to get revenge on the Pharaoh whose memories he'd been ordered to guard. Still, what had Adachi done that he hadn't been cornered into yet. He had thrown Atem into the TV World, but if Adachi had heard about the Dark Games, it was an understandable fear response. And Atem had gotten out of it alright, after all. Bakura looked down with a pained expression as Yuugi asked his question. The long silence would give Adachi a chance to react.

Izanagi had gotten up as Kisa did, but hadn't realized she was falling again before she was nearly to the floor. He ran over next to her and crouched down by her again. He sighed as he saw why she'd fallen. Her knees had been hurt rather badly, it seemed. He sighed and sharply pulled her upright.
"Do something about your knees before you go rushing off to see some man who nearly tore your soul from your body," Izanagi ordered. He was looking her in the eyes as he said this. "You're not walking anywhere with an injury like that."
------------------
Minato stood up off of the couch as Ryoji turned and went to go get dressed. He smiled as Ryoji came back and made his joke about cabin fever.
"Yeah, and that's never a good thing. I dunno, maybe we could go hang out at the arcade or something," Minato suggested. They always had spent a lot of time at the arcade before. Junpei had gotten Minato to try to train simulator, and Minato had revealed exactly how lucky they had been that first full moon.
-----------------------
Adachi stepped back as Yuugi slipped past him and headed up to Bakura. He closed the door once Yuugi was inside the room, and stood in front of it. Yuugi had to be concerned about his friend, but it still bothered Adachi a small bit that Yuugi was here. Probably just being paranoid. Yuugi was probably the most normal of that group, and the one that didn't seem to visibly hate him 90% of the time.
Adachi looked over at Yuugi as Bakura lowered his head. "What about you guys? Where are you keeping the Ring?" Adachi was sure that somehow or another, the Ring would try to get back to Bakura. Ancient Egyptian Artifacts tended to act like that, or at least that was what Adachi was assuming.

Kisa winced and rolled a bit so she could sit up. If Izanagi offered his hand she ignored it. She glanced around the shop with a nervous expression before rolling up the bottom of her skirt a bit. It didn't show anything, and she barely brought it past her knees, but she seemed nervous about it. She touched the still bleeding knees and winced.
She didn't look at Izanagi as she spoke, "I don't want it to happen again without knowing what is going on. I don't think anything is broken."
That may have been the case. But she knew she'd probably pulled a muscle in her left lower leg by the way the pain was stabbing. She needed to get cleaned up before she got home, too. There wasn't much she could do about the blood on her dress, though. She let out a sigh. She didn't want to leave this alone. She'd felt almost... anxious in both the positive and negative sense of the word. She was probably going to need help but she didn't want to admit it.
----------
Ryoji felt his mood lighten just a bit, "You know I don't have any money, right?"
He also didn't have a clue where the arcade was. This world wasn't the same, this time wasn't the same. Where as before he'd created memories and settings to be "normal" as a human, there hadn't been a need to this time. Its always what his "memories" came down to, a need. That's why he hadn't been able to remember where his class had gone on the trip before he transferred to Gekkoukan, after all. Because he hadn't had a trip... or a life. Being sealed within Minato and having no autonomy didn't exactly qualify, after all.
----------
"Adachi-san, you don't need-"
"No, it's okay Bakura-kun. Its a good question," Yuugi turned towards Adachi. He noticed that the man was standing in front of the door but he gave no indication as such. It wasn't like he'd need to run at any point, although he did find himself wishing he had the cards on him, "Atem has it. He..." Yuugi had a pained expression, "He wants to keep an eye on it."
"Will he be okay...?" Bakura asked.
"Yeah," Yuugi looked nervous, "The Items originally belonged to him, anyhow. Well, the royal line."
Which was probably news to Adachi. News the man and his overflowing love for Ancient Egypt and cursed artifacts was likely oh so glad to hear.

Izanagi sighed as Kisa examined her knees, and then assured him that nothing was broken. His response was to stand up, walk next to her, crouch down beside her, grab her arm, and place it around his shoulders.
"I'll help you to the apartments. But I have business elsewhere and you'll have to make it back to your house yourself," Izanagi stated. He stood up, pulling Kisa up with him.
----------------
No, Minato hadn't known that. He'd figured whatever cosmic force had deposited Ryoji here had at least given him some cash. He put a hand into his pocket and pulled out his own wallet before opening it up and taking a look inside.
"That's okay, I've got some cash," Minato said. "So the arcade's fine?"
----------------------
And of course, Adachi with his overflowing love for all things Egyptian, went pale at those words. So the Egyptian kid who quite possibly hated him was the true owner of that thing. And could probably bring whatever mystical powers it contained out to their full potential. Well, wasn't THAT just dandy?
"...Er... uh, I guess they're safer with him than with anyone else, then!" Adachi said, and gave a fake laugh to try and cover up his nervousness. That was just great. Absolutely fan-fucking-tastic.
He needed a drink at this point. And it wasn't even noon yet.

(OOC: Go ahead and get her out of the shop and towards the apartments a bit. Her walking will improve in that time, too.
More references to the P3 manga, GO btw. XD)
Kisa thought about objecting to Izanagi. She wasn't an invalid. Now that Izanagi had gotten her to her feet, she realized how sore her left leg was, but she was quite alright. It would probably be better to head back here after she met Seto, though. Jeff had helped her a few times in regards to her father. If Jeff could get ahold of her mother first, things would go even better.
"Thank you... I'm sorry for being an inconvenience..."
She put most of her weight on her good... well, better leg and looked away from Izanagi. She wasn't often a bad judge of people, but she was wondering if she had misjudged the god. He seemed alright. No, maybe something had changed between then and now with Souji and Izanagi. There didn't seem to be the same kind of friction that there had been before. Making sure he was with her she began to walk foward. If she walked some, she might manage to work out some of the pain.
----------
"Jeez, Minato, wasn't I clear? Yeah, its fine. Its not like there is anyplace we need..." Ryoji looked down. Stupid way of wording things. He looked up and his smile seemed a bit more forced than before as he winked, "Think you're better than Junpei at fighting games yet?"
----------
"Yuugi-kun, is that all you wanted? I'm fine aside from the wound, and that will heal with time," Bakura looked away, "As much as it can. I'm guessing it'll leave a scar... Probably what he wanted, to make me look more like Anpu..."
Yuugi was giving a nervous nod to Adachi. It was clear he wasn't sure he believed that the Items were safer with Atem. It was just that there weren't much in the way of options for the time being. When Bakura said he was fine, Yuugi was still looking at Adachi. However, when he mentioned that Anpu bore the scar his eyes widened
"How do you know about that?"
Bakura blinked, "I'm more surprised you know about it, Yuugi-kun. Was it something Atem told you?"
"Ah, well..." Yuugi looked nervous and rubbed the back of his head. Right, Bakura didn't know about the Memory World thing the original spirit of the Ring had set up, "Something like that... But I still want to know how you know. You've never seen Anpu, have you?"
"........" Bakura turned away, a bit of a forced exhale escaping his lips. He wasn't sure how to explain himself.
"Has Anpu contacted you, Bakura-kun!? Through your Mind Room or something?"
Bakura blinked, "My what?"
Adachi was probably rather confused as well. Mind Room wasn't a term much of anyone knew. Yuugi knew that, too. In the modern world, it was likely only he and Atem knew about them. Shaadi had, but... the spirit that was Shaadi had finally passed on as a result of the events in the Memory World. Yuugi wasn't sure he knew of anyone else. Maybe the Ishtars, but only from their connection to the items and Atem's past as a whole. He had assumed Bakura had known if Anpu had been speaking with him. He was apparently wrong.

It had taken the two of them a few minutes to get down the road, but they were about halfway between the coffee shop and the apartment complex. On the way out of the coffee shop, Izanagi had stopped to grab one thing: a newspaper, which he was now carrying in the arm he wasn't supporting Kisa with. Souji had never gotten around to watching the news the night before, Izanagi had missed it that morning due to having woken up a tad bit late, and he was feeling a bit information starved. He'd read it once he was somewhere he could sit down at.
During the time they had been walking, Kisa's walking had improved quite a bit, so Izanagi wasn't having to support her as much as he had to when they had been at the coffee shop, which was always a good thing. Kisa, to be blunt, was a bit of a burden. The fact that he was helping her find Kaiba didn't change the fact that Izanagi didn't like her very much.
You don't like anyone, Souji repeated.
Quiet, you, Izanagi said back. Souji smirked. Izanagi looked toward Kisa out of the corner of his eye. Hopefully she could find that Kaiba man soon and find some real answers.
----------------
Minato looked down as well when Ryoji did. It had been a slip, Minato knew, but it didn't stop it from being a bit painful. He looked up when Ryoji did and managed to get the depressed look off of his face. Ryoji had an obviously faked smile on his face as well.
"I've improved since the last time we had a match!" Minato said. "And I only lost once. Junpei lost like three times in a row. What I want to know is if you can actually get past the first stage in that train simulator!"
Not that Minato could talk.
-----------------
Adachi just kept looking between Bakura and Yuugi as they spoke, not really sure of what to say. And then the subject of Anpu's scar came up, Yuugi got confused, Bakura got confused as to why Yuugi was confused, and Adachi wasn't sure what the heck was going on at all.
He blinked as Yuugi mentioned "mind room." "Mind room...? What, is that like people's realities in the other world?" Adachi asked. If it was, that sounded slightly disturbing, based on the ones that Adachi had seen while the Seta kid's group were exploring the other side.

Kaiba was walking down an alley. It wasn't the dangerous part of town. Despite his upbringing, or perhaps because of it, he knew the dangerous parts of town. Better than a lot of the so-called gangsters, as a matter of fact. Well, some of his contacts back home were... less than reputable. Kaiba only used legal channels when they served the best option.
He was looking through his deck. What Atem had said was still eating at him. Did he actually believe the other teenager? He scowled. He didn't need lessons from him. He was pocketing his deck as he turned the corner, and he noticed a flash of familiar pale blue bordering on white. He stopped and looked up...
----------
Kisa was aware the god was looking at her. Trying to hide it, but he wasn't doing a very good job. She didn't need any spirit sense to catch the averted glances and looks out of the corner of his eye. She was about to jerk away and tell him she could walk herself. She hated being a burden to anyone, and it wasn't necessary. She could have walked on her own, but the god had insisted.
She didn't get the chance to jerk away. Because someone in a white suit had come around the corner. He had stopped cold. As if he had walked into a stone wall. He jerked his head up, she could tell he was surprised. The height difference was pretty impressive, actually, but their eyes locked. Kaiba stared at her and she blinked her eyes in confusion. Part of her said she had never seen him, part of her said she had. All those thoughts were pushed to the side as Kaiba narrowed his eyes in a absolutely hateful glare and growled as he spoke.
"Who the hell are you?"
He was still in the position he'd been when he'd stopped. His hand was placed on the inside of his suit jacket. He hadn't dropped the cards in yet, they hovered over the spot. The hand holding his jacket was held tight, but he had an oddly gentle grasp on his cards for his expression. Izanagi would realize that for a split second Kaiba had seemed to recognize Kisa, and then his arrogance had taken over and the glare to end all glares had formed...
----------
"Even if I can't, I doubt I can match your ability to cause a graphic train wreck," Ryoji chuckled. He took a few steps towards the door, realized Minato wasn't following him, and turned his head, "Hey, you coming?"
----------
Yuugi looked surprised Bakura didn't know what he was talking about. Then the surprise faded. The communication he and Atem had shared while they were still sharing a body were in part thanks to their Mind Rooms, but it was possible it wasn't necessary. It was the first time they had both agreed to work together, and if Yuugi knew anything he knew Bakura wouldn't work with Anpu unless he was forced. He glanced at Adachi as he asked his question. He pushed the tips of his pointer fingers together.
"Ah, kind of... but its not the same. I mean, my Mind Room is nothing like my World... I think maybe the TV World forms based on current doubts and fears, while the Mind Room is a bit more... core. I guess you could call it an expression of one's soul...? It's not dangerous, either, I mean... generally..."
Well, there was Atem's. Before he had regained his memories, the place had been riddled with traps. That was another thing. If you "died" in the Mind Room, you basically went into a coma in reality and were trapped within the mind of the other person forever. Shaadi had pretty much said it that one time he saved the man from Atem's Mind Room.
Thinking about it, he hadn't taken a good look at Atem's since going with his friends to use it to reach Atem's Memory World. It had been changing as a result of the events there. Was it a better place now? Less like a labrynth? Yuugi chose to not mention how he knew about his. He could tell Adachi had a deep dislike for the Millenium Items. No need to mention the Ankh.
"...Anpu didn't use anything like that, unless he did so without my knowledge. Yuugi-kun, I am fine. I will be fine," he forced a smile. It was weak and pained, "Please, just go home."
Yuugi hung his head, "All right. Bakura-kun..."
"What?"
"I'm sorry."
Bakura blinked in confusion. Why was Yuugi sorry. The short teenager turned towards the door. Adachi was still blocking it. He seemed to be waiting for Adachi to move out of the way. He considered asking him to move, but he wasn't sure his voice wouldn't break. Was this what Atem felt whenever he thought about his friends and the mess with the Millenium Items...?
