Adachi hadn't been liking where this was going the moment Lucius said he'd belong to him. Adachi didn't really like the thought of being some demon's property. The offer still remained tempting. Trading one's freedom for the soul of another. The Ring was the whole reason he was doing this. Once he got Anpu out of the way, he could deal with the concequences, numerous as they'd be. He just needed that damn Ring. Adachi continued to be unable to break eye contact until (and only at that moment) Lucius moved behind him and squeezed his shoulders. Adachi winced at the squeeze.
And then, of course, Lucius had said he wouldn't have to worry about Izanagi anymore. Adachi blinked and suddenly looked a bit more attentive. Something about Lucius' words made him realize that he wasn't referring to any Persona. Which, of course, only left Seta, who was apparently Izanagi's avatar. For all practical purposes, Izanagi in a mortal form. And fucking psycho.
Adachi didn't know why of all people, of all people, the one kid he'd had to deal with in Inaba, the one who had finally brought his plans to an end, was the quiet, jerkish, psychotic kid with anger issues. The one who seemed to hold a grudge until the world ended. And yet, the same one who, when given a perfect opprotunity to kill Nametame, the one who had pushed Nanako into the other side in the first place, hadn't done so. At that point, Adachi would have supported Dojima killing Nametame. He wouldn't have put it past the man, and it wasn't like Adachi had intended for Nanako to get involved.
But Seta had still given the man another chance. And then turned all of his anger on him once the truth came out that he was the murderer. A certainly calm anger, but anger none the less. Though, that calm anger seemed to have disappeared since the Seta kid came to the Island, and instead it was replaced with even more anger issues. He was the one person here Adachi was truely afraid of, because the Seta kid didn't like holding back. He didn't like killing people either, meaning he could easily just put him in the hospital instead.
And, of course, there was the whole god angle. Adachi didn't know exactly how that related to the events in Inaba, but he knew that it gave him even more reason to be worried about Seta.
"You really mean that?" Adachi asked, just to be sure. The bottom line of this whole line of thoughts was Adachi was suddenly a lot more interested in Lucius' little deal. He'd be protected from Seta. That was the big thing for Adachi: he'd be protected from Seta. He'd be protected from Dojima's psycho nephew. No more worrying about the kid across the hallway. No more worrying about Izanagi. And no more worrying about Seta's little friends.

"I would not have said it had I not meant it."
Lucius lessened the grip he had on Adachi's shoulders. It would no longer be painful, and if Adachi wanted to turn around in response Lucius would release his grip and let the man. He was no longer whispering, but he'd drawn his head away from Adachi a bit so his voice wouldn't hurt the man's ears. Protecting the man could involve blowing his cover in regards to Izanagi, but he found himself doubting it would last much longer anyways. And having control of a Persona user was more than a bit enticing.

Adachi seemed a fair bit relieved at Lucius' reassurance of that fact. He'd be protected from Seta. He turned to look at Lucius.
"Alright, I'll do it," Adachi said. That had been all the convincing he needed. To no longer have to be afraid of Seta. He'd be protected from Seta, and he'd have the Ring. Once he had the Ring, he could kill Anpu, or at least get him out of the Ring. Once Anpu was out of the Ring, Bakura would be safe. Adachi didn't care if Bakura didn't trust him anymore, because he'd at least be safe. And then, they could get back to their normal lives again.
There was still the whole becoming Lucifer's property thing. But Lucius said he wasn't too demanding on his "property", right? Still, why was this conversation seeming so familiar?

Lucius seemed more than a bit pleased as Adachi confirmed he'd do it. He took a step towards Adachi, and his position before meant they were uncomfortably close. He grabbed Adachi's right arm just above his wrist and pulled it a bit so he had clear access to Adachi's wrist. He tightened his grip as Adachi jerked back.
"Settle down, this is a necessary formality," Lucius stated, his pupils still slitted. His right hand was also raised, and he had it curled in a way that indicated he was getting ready to use the fingernails of it somehow.

Adachi had jerked back as Lucius grabbed his arm and winced as he grabbed his wrist. Lucius had his hand curled in a way that made it look like he was going to claw something. Adachi put things together.
"You're going to cut my wrist open?" Adachi asked. Oh, he did not like the sound of that. "Nessicary formality..." ugh, he didn't like the sound of that either. He just found himself hoping this wouldn't scar.

Lucius smirked, "I won't deny it. It won't hurt long."
He tightened his grip. Even if Adachi didn't intend to jerk back, humans tended to jerk in response to pain. The grip would now be a bit painful as a result, though. There was nothing in the way of dramatics. He brought his finger nails over Adachi's wrist leaving a somewhat jagged cut. He didn't pay attention to any reaction of Adachi's as he did something the man might not have expected and cut his own left wrist. He didn't even hiss at the cutting of his own. Blood ran rather quickly from both wounds.
He transferred the hand holding Adachi's wrist to his right. He then pressed the cut of their opposite wrists together. The pressure would be uncomfortable at best. Adachi would feel a sort of burning electric shock pass through his system and a feeling of confinement on his spirit/soul/or whatever he wanted to call his non-physical self.
Any attempt during the whole thing Adachi made to pull away or jerk would be met with forceful manhandling. The pain then suddenly cut off and Lucius seperated their wrists. Neither one had a mark on them, nor a sign there had ever been a cut there. The only sign that anything had happened was the blood that had flown before the cuts had sealed. He smirked with an evil expression and and looked up at Adachi.
"And with that you're mine," Lucius said, his voice distorting in a rather demonic fashion. The language was still Japanese, but the voice was rather disturbing. It was back to normal when he spoke again, "You can expect the Ring by the end of the new moon."

Adachi had jerked back a bit when Lucius had cut into his wrists, the result of which being that Lucius had tightened his grip. Adachi winced, but allowed Lucius to press their cut wrists together, which of course earned another wince. Of course, he wasn't prepared for what happened next.
He suddenly felt like there was a sort of burning electricity moving throughout his body. He had tried to break away from it for a moment, but Lucius had forced their wrists roughly back together. After a moment, he started to feel what felt like a 50 kilo weight on his soul. That was about the time he realized this was probably a very, very bad idea.
And then, as suddenly as the pain had come, it had stopped. Adachi looked over at Lucius and his eyes widened as the blond spoke. It was fairly creepy the way his voice was distorted, and once again, Adachi was reminded of Ameno-whatsit who had possessed him before. He held his wrist up to examine it. There wasn't even a mark. If it weren't for the blood, he would have sworn that there hadn't even been a cut there. He wiped the blood off on his jacket and looked back at Lucius when he mentioned the Ring.
"O-Oh, right... hey, can I go?" Adachi asked. He just wanted to get the hell away from here now.

Lucius' finally let his eyes fade to looking human. Aside from the color scheme, anyhow, and even that was possible with the right condition. He was still smirking as Adachi asked his question. The man thought he needed permission to do so? Well, Lucius saw no reason to correct him. He nodded and turned away himself, pausing on his fourth step and turning his head just a bit to Adachi. He'd barely be able to make out the teenager's left eye.
"If you get the bright idea to run at any point, don't. I can keep track of what is mine no matter where they go, be it across dimensions if the need arises."
He turned back without waiting for a reaction. It wasn't that he would have needed to before the exchange. Now he'd be able to keep a track of the man's activities whenever he felt the need to. His shoulders shook a little as he chuckled and continued to increase the distance.

Adachi shuddered at Lucius' words. Well, fuck. He had just sold his soul to what was essentially the devil. For a Ring. Of course, it was only now that his concience decided to kick in. Actually, Adachi had begun to wonder if he had one. No, it was just unneccisarily quiet.
He looked down at the wrist that had been cut one more time and sighed. Great, so he was in trouble with Takahashi still, Bakura hated him, Seta and that Pharaoh were still on bad terms with him, there was some giant bird flying around during this damn hour, oh, and he'd just sold his soul to Lucifer. Nothing like a little soul selling to top off the day.
He started walking back toward the apartments. He just wanted to get some sleep at this point, and hope that this was all one giant bad dream.
