I've been a fan of this Kate Beaton for years now, but I finally have the time to ref her stuff (which makes me happy).

If you haven't already checked out her comics, for the love of god do. It's mostly world history (none of you yanks will understand any of Canadian stuff, at all, but it's mostly European and American anyway), authors and famous novels, and things from her own head and childhood. It's all extremely silly.

(And for those of you who actually want to get the few Canadian comics:
John A. MacDonald was our firstcelebrity alcoholic prime minister who made us a confederate country by getting every single person drunk and hating the Chinese/abusing their labour which makes BC very ironic[/. (I'm not kidding about.)
Montcalm was the guy in charge of keeping Canada French (not that they still wanted us in any case).
Trudeau was also a prime minister, and was ttly kickass.
Same with Lester B. Pearson.
You are now an unofficial Canadian. Congratulations Enjoy the Tim Hortons and the cheap prescription meds and good day.)
