Yui looked back at those following him. "...I was injured rather badly during a fight recently. The years haven't been good on my body. Five hundred years alone in a temple will do that. I do not have the tools to fix the clockwork inside of me, though, so I am unable to do anything right now." He turned to Otto. "It's just up ahead."
After walking for a bit longer, the group would finally be able to see the mansion peeking through the trees.
"...Welcome to our new home..." Yui mumbled.

"Oh... my." Double D wasn't quite sure how to respond to that. "I... I'm sorry. If there's anything I could do to..."
He pasued at the sight of Gantz's new abode. Courage stared as well in mild awe.

In all the awe surrounding the place they had encountered, it was possible that no-one noticed the signs that were planted nearby... ...
At least, until, Helga spotted them. "'By order of the city this Building is to be Condemned'..." She looked to Yui in confusion, "But why would Gantz move here?"
In clear agreement with the girl, Wally nodded. "Yeah, it isn't safe to live in condemned buildings... Or so I heard."
Otto took a few sniffs of the building... "As musty as this place is, it has a slight smell of magic to it... Likely he charmed this place so the supports would be stronger then what they really are... Meaning this place is safe to live in..." He walked to the door, still allowing Yui to lead the way. "It's just a bit musty."
Quickly after him, Tarosuke was taking in the mansion himself. "This guy must live pretty high on the hog to be able to afford this place..."

Yui didn't respond, other than muttering something about a grandfather clock. With some effort, due to only having one arm, he pulled open the door to the mansion. "Please head on inside."
Nearby, Yui spotted a flash of something yellow in the distance. He squinted. Oh. It was about to start to storm.
It had been so sunny outside earlier too.

Entering, Double D flinched slightly. But this time, it had nothing to do with his powers. No, he was growing uncomfortable in all the dust and mustiness in the air. This was obviously an old building that wasn't often kept clean.
Clearing his throat, and not daring to sit on the furniture, he took to standing in the middle of the lobby, turning to the others. "So... I'm guessing we'll be waiting for Gantz, right?"

Looking around, Tarosuke honestly had to admit this place was impressive; looked around 16 century Italian build with some Renaisance flair to it, was probably one fancy place back in it's hey-day, expensive too. "I guess so." Came Wally whom was looking around, just as impressed as Tarosuke. "I saw a storm brewing outside, even if he doesn't get here immediately we may be stuck in here for a bit if it starts raining... Might as well get comfy."
Otto was in clear agreement as he looked over to a door nearby. Raising his eyebrow, he walked over to it, and, with a click, opened it...
Inside was honestly what surprised him.
It appeared to be a sitting room that was probably cleaned, dusted, and everything inbetween very recently. Which was a surprise in and of itself. It was decorated with a brown rug and various multiple couches and comforter chairs. A fire place sat cozily at the far wall, next to but not too close to the furniture. "Hey!" He called to the others pointing inside it. "This living room doesn't look as bad as this lobby, come on."
Walking in, Tarosuke became impressed once more, whistling appreciatively. "Someone's been keeping this room in pretty good shape."

Yui nodded. "I've been cleaning up... Gantz did some before I did, but I've been cleaning. Keeps me busy."
Outside, there was a rumble of thunder.
"Please, go ahead and sit down. I'll be back with some snacks," Yui said, and wandered off.

Double D sighed in relief. "MUCH better." He followed Yui's request and comfortably took a seat by the fire. Noting the thunder, he spoke up, "I certainly hope Gantz doesn't get caught in that dreadful weather... but I guess he'll be alright."

"Given what I've seen that kid's capable of doing, I doubt a little rain's gonna hurt him." Otto seemed quite sure about himself saying this.
Helga had taken a seat herself, looking quite comfy. Upon setting Courage down, she looked around a second. "Think this place has some books we could read while we wait for Gantz-san?"
A voice behind her answered her question. "Well here's a bookshelf." Wally had been exploring the room a bit further, hoping to find something of interest. "Let's see, we got 'Arabian Nights', 'Peter Pan', 'King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table'... Man, this thing is filled to the brim with classics..."
Helga looked to Wally, smiling. "Oni-chan, can you hand me the 'Peter Pan' one please?"
Smiling a little at the name, Wally plucked the book out of the shelf. "Most certainly, lil' sis." He handed the book to her, "Here you go."
The girl smiled and nodded. "Arigato, Wally-ni Chan." And with that, she opened the book up to page one, letting the fire relax her. Sighing she turned to Courage. "So Cozy in here. Do you like it Courage?"

Yui came back out again, steadily balancing a place filled with treats on his arm. There were dog biscuits and little cracker sandwiches on the plate. He set the plate down with some effort, and walked back off again.
When Yui finally came back, he was carrying his arm. Clenched inside the hand was a little golden key. His key. He sat down in a chair a stared at the arm.

"Mm-hmm!" Courage curled up next to her, looking at the pages of the book as she read.
"Ah, thank you, Yui." Double D stood and took a sandwich into hand, munching on it as he too searched the bookselves for an interesting read. Grinning to himself, pleased, he pulled out "Much Ado About Nothing" and returned to his seat.
At Yui's reentrance, Double D glanced up, concerned. "..do you... need any assistance, Yui?"

Otto raised an eyebrow. "One would think, it doesn't look like he knows how to fix it himself."
Wally gave Otto a stern glare before walking over to Yui and looking at the arm himself. "Do you know how to fix it yourself Yui? Maybe we could help."
Shrugging at the scene, Tarosuke walked to the bookshelf, picking out what appeared to be a copy of 'The Art of War' By the famous Stephen Jefferys, credits going to Sun Tzu for writing the first scroll. "Man, THIS thing must be old."
"I'm willing to bet every last one of these books are." Otto said shaking his head. "The previous owner of this estate must've liked reading in his spare time. That must be why Gantz has made this place his own." Sighing he sat back and began to think... "I wonder though... Why did he stay behind the way he did?"
Tarosuke looked up from the centuries worth of knowledge from one of the greatest chinese generals of his time, to give the others a weird look. "Who IS this Gantz guy, anyways? He seemed a bit... Odd..." Clearing his throat, he turned back to his book. "He seems like a bit of a dork to me... How much do you even know about him?"

Yui looked up. "I know how to fix myself... it's just I don't have the parts. I need clockwork, like what you'd find in a grandfather clock, and as of the moment, I haven't found one yet."
He looked over at the bookshelf. "Is there a copy of The Art of War over there? A non-translated version would be best." he asked.

"Clockwork?" Double D scratched under his hat. "Well, I'm sure we could find such pieces in a clockwork shop in town... or an antique shop."
At Tarosuke's question, Double D paused. His book was still open, but he had yet to partake in it, too busy in thought. "...actually, we know very little. We first learned of Gantz when Him appeared, yet we didn't quite know his identity until he appeared during the struggle at the Castle in the woods." He thought back to that. "From what I remember, he seemed formidible as a fighter... and interesting enough, I felt and heard another entity inside of him. We also know that there's a female of the Gria race that he's trying to protect by gathering certain weapons for Him..." He trailed off. "...she's... probably still in His clutches right now..."

Wally shook his head... "I really feel sorry for that poor kid..."
CRAAACK-BOOOM!!
There was the sound of thunder in the distance as the rain really started to come down hard. Tarosuke let out an impressed whistle. "Man it's rainin' cats and dogs out there." He turned the page of his copy of 'Art of War' and continued looking at it. "Feel sorry for any shmuck that get's caught up in it."
"Speaking of shmuck..." Otto muttered as he looked out the window. "Shouldn't Gantz have gotten back by now?"
A shrug was his response from Wally. "Heck if I know mate, I mean, who knows what that kid was up to when we left him."
----------------------------
In fullest truth, Gantz had came back a few minutes earlier...
The only reason no-one had heard from him was because he had muted his energy and was listening in to the conversation going on in the sitting room, just past the door. What was he to do? He couldn't keep them waiting...
"Gantz... Why do you continue to sit here? Aren't you going to go in there?"
Again, Soul at an innoppurtune time. "I... I can't..." He whispered low in tone. "I... I was never good at talking..."
"That doesn't seem to stop you." Soul rolled her eyes at the comment. "You've been chatting my ear off since the day you forged that pact with me... And suddenly you pick NOW of all times to grow self-conscious?"
Gantz shivered... But he hadn't just suddenly chosen to be like this...
