(*falls over* XDDDD)
Double D nodded. "Actually, I do remember the Wizard mentioning that I wasn't the Double D from his world. We also came across a Kevin that we knew, but was from a midevial setting, and the Nazz that lives with us is certainly not the Nazz from our world either. So it's not much of a foreign concept."
When Misty commanded attention, Double D wrinkled his nose at the 'copy' comment. "Hey, now, you can't just call him a...!"
His breath got caught in his throat as Gantz uttered his answer. He could only cover his mouth, turning to stare at Otto and Wally in a mixture of confusion and disbelief. He completely understood the situation, but... it was still quite a shock.

Yui stayed silent. This wasn't his problem... he was useless in this conversation, and so he was best suited to staying quiet.

Gantz only frowned as he watched Misty on the floor... ... ...
"No... ... ... No..." Finally she lifted her head... And she looked MAD. "NO!!!! YOU'RE LYING!!! YOU'VE LIED TO ME BEFORE AND NOW YOUR JUST LYING TO ME AGAIN!!!!! YOU'RE TELLING ME HE'S DEAD BECAUSE YOU DON'T WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY THAT YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE TO FIND HIM!!!!!! THIS IS THE MOST HORRIBLE JOKE-"
"THIS IS NOT A JOKE MISTY..."
That tone of voice was much more forceful then he wanted it to be... But Gantz had to get Misty to shut up for three seconds to explain. "Misty... Why would I joke about this? Otto and Wally? They were my friends too. Why would I want to say such a horrible thing if I don't mean it?" Sighing, he pointed to his head. "But if you want proof, you're more then welcome to turn into your smog form and read my mind. The memories IN THERE Misty... And it won't go away..."
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
However, Misty only continued to stand there, looking at the boy with a horrified expression.
There were many responses those around could see coming, 'You're lying', 'I'll play along and read your mind', 'I'm gunna beat the $#IZ oua you!!!' among other things...
But instead...
What they got was Misty falling to the floor completely, her arms having found no more strength to hold her up... And on the floor, one could see her form was quivering, as she sobbed silently.
She hated showing weakness...
Gantz turned his head away looking ashamed, in fact he almost broke out into tears himself. "M-Misty loved the Otto we knew, in case your wondering. Those two were as close as close can be... You can only imagine what she's feeling right now."
Tarosuke almost looked surprised at what had occured. "Did you really have to lay it on her like that?"
"What other choice did I have?" Gantz sniffed. "If I had allowed her the chance, she'd only keep looking, slowly killing herself with each passing day... She deserved to know..."
"You... you B@$t@%d..." She lightly pounded her fists against the floor, to further display Misty's frustration. "You promised that you'd come back to me okay... You promised me..."
Gantz leaned down to the girl's level, and patted her on the shoulder. "Misty... I'm so sorry..." He was trying his best not to cry. "This is my fault... All my fault..."
Meanwhile, Otto continued to stare at Misty himself; a look of pity had crossed his face. 'She loved their Otto... No wonder she treated me with such disdain; I remind her of him...'

Double D was at a loss for words. Which was rare for him. His hands never lowered from his face, stained with his own tears.
No wonder the two of them radiated so much sadness. Slowly, he returned to his seat, finding it difficult to remain standing. His knees buckling, he plopped right down and leaned forward, hiding his face from view.
Courage himself also wasn't quite sure what to say... if he could freely speak. Giving a glance at Helga, he hopped out of her lap and made his way over to the grieving pair, nuzzling Misty gently.

Looking up, Misty beheld the fushia dog as it nuzzled up against her, trying to offer comfort. She only turned her head away, before pushing herself back to her feet, surprising Gantz. "Misty?"
The girl didn't answer and left the room, looking pale, her expression almost lifeless. With a slammed door, Misty disappeared further into the house, possibly back to her bedroom from when she first came. Sighing dismally, Gantz turned back to Double D, "S-sorry..." He wiped a few tears away, having said this, "I... I had hoped we could avoid that... But... I guess Misty was bound to learn sooner or later. I'm... I'm just sorry she had to learn this way."
"You seem to like keeping secrets." Came the harsh comment from a flat voice of Tarosuke. He had been taking his time examining the scene, with a pitying glance. "It's little wonder why you don't have any friends; you seem to like keeping harmful secrets like that hidden away." He shrugs a little. "Oh well, Your life. What am I supposed to do?"
Gantz winced a little, before lowering his head.

"... Normally, I would agree with you a hundred percent," Double D replied to Tarosuke. Before continuing, he stood a bit more firmly, as most of the grief had left the room, and stood at Gantz's side. "But if life has taught me anything, it's that nothing is black and white. You cannot condemn Gantz for wanting to protect her. It may or may not have been the right decision, but... what's done is done. I'm sure with support, she'll be alright; she's a strong person, I can tell."
He turned to Otto and Wally when he realized they were being silent. "...are you two alright?"

Otto gulped a little. "Don't worry... I think I'm just still trying to stomach the fact that, in some alternate dimension, I died." He shook his head. "Kinda brings you to reality, when you think about it."
"And me?" Wally was rubbing his temples, "I'm still getting over the fact that there's more then ONE of me..."
Helga walked over to Courage and picked him up, before turning to Wally. "It wouldn't matter if there was Wally Ni-Chan." She smiled a little, "You would still be my big brother." Wally smiled at this.
Needless to say though, none of this was helping Tarosuke. "Bah..." He closed the copy of 'Art of War' he had been reading before turning to Double D. "Putting that aside, what I want to know is WHY this guy has two distinct energy signatures about him. It's like two different souls are living inside him at the same time."
Gantz sighed, figuring it was gonna come to this. "Yeah... ..." He lowered his head. "That is one part of the story I haven't told yet."
"Allow me, Gantz."
That was all Gantz heard before he nodded his head in agreement and, with a bright flash, Soul Calibur appeared, taking up Gantz's body. His glowing eyes and mark of the oath proved it. "I shall tell this part of the story." She then turned to Double D, nodding to him. "Hello again Eddward."

Courage huddled close to Helga in comfort.
Double D nodded in return. "So you're the one who helped us back at the Castle, right? Thank you for your aid, that situation was getting quite tense." Clearing his throat, he continued. "...but you're a little more difficult for me to read. Would you care to tell us who you are?"

Soul nodded before holding her arms out, trying to make herself seem mystical. “I am known in history as a miracle, the sword of pure good. In the eyes of many I am the miracle sword, yet in the eyes of some, I am heaven’s wrath embodied.”[/u] She took a second to clear her throat. “In short… I am Soul Calibur.”
“Or Soul to her friends!” Came Gantz’s voice cheerfully, ruining the mystical moment. Groaning, Soul facepalmed.
The other’s responses were MUCH different however.
“Soul… … … Calibur?!?!?!?” Tarosuke’s expression appeared fearful. Quickly he bowed a little bit. “I’ve heard much about you Lady Soul. It is an honor to finally meet you in person.”
Otto, Wally, and Helga followed the demon child’s example respectfully. “Indeed it is.” Otto intoned. “Though, while this answers some questions about the situation… I’m afraid it raises a few others.”

"Soul... Calibur?" Double D grew confused. "How odd. Ed told me that was a name of a sword. Am I to guess you're the spirit that inhabits that blade?"

“That I am.”[/u] Soul intoned, sitting down on the chair behind her. “For someone who knows my legacy I can only assume that when you first heard of me, you expected to meet me inside my original home, the Miracle Sword… Am I right?”[/u] She sighed a little as she went on. “Well… Sorry to disappoint.”[/u]
It was at that moment, that Otto took a step forward and gave the spirit a small look. “And why’s that?” He raised an eyebrow curiously. “If you’re the great spirit of Soul Calibur, why do you exist outside your place of existence?”
Soul sighed as she rubbed her temples. “Trust me on this, I really don’t want to be here too much myself…”[/u] Scratching the back of her head, she continued. “The only reason I am here is because, I had lost my original body a long time ago… I was a wandering spirit forced to find another body or move on to the next world…”[/u]
A small growl caught everyone’s attention.
”But how could I POSSIBLY? My story is not meant to end yet…”[/u] She crossed her arms as she finished that. “So long as HE exists; has another page that he can write in his story, I shall NEVER move on.”[/u]
“Soul, remember what I said. Breathe. I’ll let you go after him once we’re done.”[/u] Came Gantz’s voice once more, causing Soul to calm down.
Out of all of this, the others just looked on in confusion. “He?” Came Helga quietly. “He, who?”
Tarosuke was the one to answer that, “Soul Edge, of course. It’s always been in the legends and myths that Soul Edge and Soul Calibur hated each other, so it makes sense that Soul Calibur wouldn’t want to move on; despite her incapacitated state.”

Yui shivered at the mention of Soul Edge, but said nothing.

"Soul Edge, your counterpart," Double D nodded in understanding. "So you two are bound by each other in this world. More proof that light and darkness need each other to exist.
"But before you can deal with each other," he continued sternly. "You need to dispatch of the one who's trying to acquire both of you for his own chaotic purposes: Him. I'm guessing that's why you're working with Gantz, since you two have a common enemy."

... ... ... ... ... ... ...
Soul's eye started to twitch when she heard Double D talk. "HOW HORRIBLY WRONG YOU ARE..." She was on the verge of launching an attack as a matter of fact. "HOW DARE YOU EVEN INSINUATE THAT MY EXISTENCE DEPENDS ON THAT... THAT... BA$T@RD SWORD..!!!" This probably surprised Double D quite a bit. "I NEED SOUL EDGE, LIKE A MORTAL NEEDS A HOLE IN THE HEAD!!! COMMIT THAT TO MEMORY!!!!!!!!!"
Tarosuke had flinched when Soul Calibur started to rage, "Sheesh, talk about a drama queen."
Gantz chose that time to make himself heard. "Easy Soul... EASY..." Once Soul Calibur took a deep breath, the boy continued. "It's okay, he didn't know."
It was easy to say that Soul Calibur didn't like anything that connected back to Soul Edge, with this piece of info revealed. "But... You just said," Helga started, only to be cut off by Otto.
The boy had just figured out that Soul Calibur had misunderstood what Double D had meant… But that didn’t prove any less that the hatred between the two ran pretty DAMN deep. ”Putting that aside though, that’s basically it, yes.”[/u] Gantz shook the husks head. ”The only difference is we’re only united because of me.”[/u]
Everyone looked at the boy confused.
“You, see… Originally I had another weapon I could’ve used against Him. It was called the ‘Keyblade’.”[/u] He sighed dismally as he continued. “But you see, a Keyblade can only ever belong to someone with a strong heart… When I lost my friends… Well… You can imagine the reasons for my keyblade leaving me. Those guys… They were my family almost.”[/u] He appeared to put that aside. “Anyways, as I was traveling to this world I came across Soul Calibur’s spirit wandering around. Seeing my chance, I formed a pact with her; she get’s to inhabit my body, so long as she, when she got a new sword body, helped me defeat Him. That was the general gist of the deal.”[/u]

Needless to say, Double D jumped back quite a bit at Soul's release of rage. He would've struck a defensive pose, just in case, but the anger spike only made him recoil further. He gingerly rubbed his temple to ease the headache as Gantz explained himself. He made a mental note to later figure out how to manage this aura-reading, or else he'd be useless in battle.
"I...I see..." he grunted, shaking it off finally. "...forgive me, Soul. I... didn't intend to..."
