Squall stood at the edge of the island, holding Ruby's corpse in his hand. He frowned, looking at her softly. He did not cry, but sadness was in his heart. He remembered when he first saved her. He wondered what he'd have to tell Kirby... She was one of his best friends. With a sigh and a heavy heart, he placed her hands on her heart before dropping her body into the void. "Goodbye... Ruby," he said softly, closing his eyes as if to hide any tears that wanted to form.
(I almost cried typing this >.< )

Slippy, the bad pilot he was, crashed down into the edge of the island, flew out of the cockpit and landed right at Squall's feet. "I... like... pie..." he muttered incoherently. He stood up, shook his head and noticed Squall, whom he was standing next to. "What happened?"

"... I buried someone, you could say. It's how a friend of mine buried his friends. Only I couldn't find an ocean to bury her in, so he threw her down the void... I believe her spirit may come out of the void and go on to where it's supposed to... No matter what religion she believes in... I'm sure she'll be in a happier place," Squall said.

He wasn't hit by a fist, a leg or even a tail; rather, he was hit by a small jolt of electrcity. The culprit, a sassy-looking Pikachu wearing a hat, landed on the ground next to the toad.
"A'course he came from his parents! Everyone comes from their parents! Given, I wasn't like this 'til I got mutated, but I came from my momma and daddy!" She said, a thick southern drawl present in her voice.
