Waddle Dee, on the other hand, interpreted Rest completely differently, interpreting it as the Sleep ability, which is functionally useless. He then decided to take this time to knock Night into a wall, and then wait for him to wake up.

As the Waddle Dee closed in for attack, Night used Snore, a move that could only be used while asleep, and created a shock wave from his snore.

"Eep!" Waddle Dee was knocked back from the snore all the way to the other end of the arena (thanks to accidentally opening the parasol while being attacked, thus letting the shockwave catch the parasol, which caused Waddle Dee to get blown away). He hit the wall hard, and landed on the ground, and started waving a little white flag. "Have... mercy..."

night walked over and set Waddle Dee on his feet as he cught his Cape that had been thrown to him.

Waddle Dee looked up at Night. "Oh. That was okay, I guess. You Pokemon types have too many abilities for my liking. So did Master Kirby, but he could only use one at a time."

"Well then, i have a sugestion, do the right thing, and stop shoutting about justice, if you see someone being robbed try to help them and so on so fourth, you'll develop your own sence of justice." Night sugested.
