The moment Zero grew weak, Kaito almost thought of rushing to the virus' side, only hesitating once he remembered what Zero had done to Gakupo. Which, once again, made Kaito wonder what he was doing here.
It was probably a dream. This whole day had just been one big dream. Maybe.
In any case, Kaito started heading for the door. "We should go, Zero. I think I can hear someone coming up the stairs."

Zero shook his head for a moment and drew in some breaths. Which was ironic in its own way, but was probably a result of hanging around humans so much. He straightened out and nodded, following after Kaito. He made sure to cut off the risk of infection via touch with his first step.
He picked up speed within the first few steps and opened the door, waiting for Kaito go go first, "How are you with escaping by foot?"
If it came to it, he could bring them back into the island's network, although it might be an issue with the food. Unlike he and Kaito, it wasn't formed from data and might not take the process as well. So he kept it in mind as a last resort.

Kaito didn't need to think about it. "You got rid of the cameras, right? We should be fine if we escape on foot."
Now there was a matter of where to go from here. Once they were a good distance away, Kaito sighed.
"Now what?" he asked Zero.

Zero wasn't used to explaining himself, "I spend my time in the island's systems. If I see something interesting or that could work as an easy target, I head there. I can read the data for the surveillance system that teenager I told you about uses."
Zero paused, glancing towards what looked like a normal dumpster, "Hey, how's your girlfriend slash daughter treating you?"
This probably threw Kaito off, but Zero wasn't letting the Vocaloid get in the way of a good joke. Yeah, he had totally directly addressed Mandark. It was probably a good thing the teen had told the computer he didn't want the information... that's the kind of comment Dexter would've found very interesting and quite disturbing.

Kaito looked rather confused at this, as it very much appeared Zero was talking to a dumpster, which was something sane people didn't tend to do. Maybe the dumpster was a robot.
"Zero... why are you talking to a dumpster?" Kaito hesitantly asked.

Zero turned and gestured, "Despite what it looks like, its a surveillance camera. I don't know how long Susan spent, but he's got the island littered with them. I suspect he tapped into some existing system. As for the comments, its an irritating story. You ready to go?"
The virus had noticed Kaito had finished his food, and was midly impressed at the way the young man had wolfed it down. He'd finished his in the same time it took Zero, but he'd had far more food. He had his hand extended.
And he had indeed called Mandark by his birth name. He knew it would irritate the boy.

"Oh." Kaido said. "Oh! Okay then." He yawned. "We should probably find somewhere to stay for the night. There's a hotel near here that we could stay at."

Zero seemed a bit confused for half a second. It was more than a little possible for Kaito to miss it. But he ended up nodding. Zero didn't need sleep providing he had access to data, and it was likely Kaito wouldn't either if he brought him into the system, but that might be a bit much to explain at the time.
"We can go through the island's system. Although walking is an option if you prefer it," he stated. With the surveillance cameras at the mall fried, he didn't really have anything to worry about.
(OOC: If they're walking, you can thread jump to the Hotel)

"I'm a bit nervous about walking away from a scene like that... let's go through the system," Kaito said, looking back at the red and blue lights, though the cars seemed to be leaving now. Had they not found the body?
In any case, they needed to go.

Zero nodded and grabbed Kaito's hand, who he had pushed forward hesitantly. Maybe sleep was a good thing. Kaito had more human traits to him than data, and humans often worked through things better if they could sleep. The two broke down into data in the same manner as before and Zero absorbed them into the system.
It seemed rather unprotected, indicating Mandark was busy with other things. Probably meant the receival of the message would be delayed. He'd have to harass him more next chance he got. The teen was easy to rile up, and he was still rather peeved over the situation with the attempted clone.
