Tigra's Death; The Female Black Mage Appears

[Felix Falora]

She looked at the picture of Lloyd Tigra with a smirk on her face, then compared it to the charcoal-colored corpse below him. He was a rapist... it was what he deserved. She had toyed with him like a cat did with its prey, then finally let the flames judge him as she fashioned a box out of wood and then set the box afire with him locked in it using the very tapestries of the arcane that she prided herself in mastering. "I am chaos... I am destruction... None shall stop me... Those that rape die... And those that are raped will die... I will slaughter them all."

The usual dance of flickering portals in the park was the scene around the girl and charred corpse. One portal appeared, growing larger than the rest, ten feet in diameter, randomly sparking in all direction. Eight yellow lights peered through and a long, low groan; similar to a very deep whale song; echoed from the vortex. The heavy, steel boot of Big Daddy stumbled onto the grounds of Void City kicking a portion of seawater into the park. The bulky Big Daddy probed his surroundings, spotting the girl and a familiar curiosity pulled him towards her.

"...Little...Sister...?"

(NOTE: Big Daddy cannot talk, that was just a thought not speech. I just didn't want to ruin the mood with over-description)

"Hmmmm..." The sudden surge of power caught Shadow's senses. She turned to look upon the vortex and watched the Big Daddy walk out. Most people would've been afraid. Shadow just whispered. She did look like a "Little Sister" and the fact that magic ran through her veins was probably read by the Big Daddy as what a Little Sister's blood would be like. But Shadow knew nought of the Big Daddies. All she knew was that this being had to be powerful to create such a rift. "Have the gods sent me a foe... or a friend?" she muttered to herself.

The Big Daddy trudged forward until his figure loomed over Shadow. He crouched down and inspected Shadow with the bright lights coming from his rusted metal helm. Is she a Little Sister? All answers were plausible as far as the Big Daddy's neural programming was concerned, but decided he should stay as a tempory guard until the girl's identity was clear.

"Who are you?" Shadow asked. She felt something about the creature was... different... in a welcoming way. Shadow heard of love, but never really felt it... But this emotion, though not in the purest sense, was something around that.

The Big Daddy didn't answer. He just stood there, waiting for Shadow to move so he could follow.

[Felix Falora]

Shadow looked curious, but then shrugged and began to walk down a path. When she noticed the thing follow her, she got even more curious, but made no motion to stop it and continued walking. There's something I like about this being.

Big Daddy's heavy feet instinctively pursued Shadow. His bright yellow lights focused on her yet also alert to the surroundings. Even as a tempory guard, a Big Daddy will always guard its escort with its life.

It's a big being, seems not to care much about what its guard is doing... unless it has one... I must find out more about it if I am to bring it to its full potential.

"SHADOW!"

Damn that accursed pointy-eared bastard!

Shadow sighed as Shine ran up. "What is it?"

"Did you kill that man back there?"

"You better not have brought him back."

"No. I know he was evil... but you better not kill any innocent beings here or else you're gonna get it!"

A threatening manner. Shine might've just angered the Big Daddy.

The Big Daddy let out a loud, long, low moan and stood in between Shadow and Shine. He revved up his drill, but then a thought came across him. Is this also a Little Sister? It seemed that after years of searching in Rapture for a Little Sister that this Big Daddy became quite jumpy at anything that remotely looked like one.

[Felix Falora]

"Wow... This being wants to protect me... How nice..." Shadow had practical hearts in her eyes.

"A being like you can... actually feel love... Well that's some progress towards the..." Shine began muttering.

"Affection, love, call it what you want, but this amazing being was about to drill a hole through your heart... that's enough to win my heart anyday," Shadow said.

"Where's Logan when you need him?" Shine muttered.

The Big Daddy paused and stared at Shine. Loneliness and confusion had taken a toll on the Big Daddy's judgment and was skeptical about Shadow and Shine being a Little Sister. A Big Daddy can only adopt one Little Sister at a time.

(This is getting a bit to-and-fro isn't it?)

[Felix Falora]

(Perhaps.)

"It seems like it's a being that is designed to protect someone... But who... and what?" Shine asked herself.

"I don't know. It came out of a vortex when I saw it appear," Shadow replied.

The Big Daddy waited silently, except for a few passive growls, for Shadow's next movement. Big Daddies must always wait for their Little Sister's next move, but this rule, however, does not stop a Big Daddy from getting impatient.

[Felix Falora]

Shadow shrugged. "Whatever happens, it doesn't matter. It seems like it will make a powerful ally," she said, then walked off. "And with him at my side, I might be able to leave you and your bumbling companions behind and actually conquer this universe via death and destruction."
