A man wearing a uniform was standing outside the hotel, looking up at one of the many rooms. Disturbances seemed more focused than usual today. He jerked when he heard two people talking and walking in his direction. Another crazy hairstyle? If this wasn't Dimension Island he would have said he was the official accomodations for an anime convention. If only his life were that sane...
Prue and Clive were the two the doorman had seen, although the hair comment was more about Prue. Hot pink bangs and all, although he had no idea they weren't natural.
"Wow, you're right, this is tall!" said Prue. It dwarfed any department store she'd ever been too by more feet than she could estimate.
(OOC: The "doorman" is an NPC. Do with him what you will. XD)

Clive walked in front of Prue, leading the way to the hotel. He himself had been staying at the hotel for the past few weeks, and was used to all of the crazy stuff of the hotel by now. Still, it was a surprise when he woke up one morning in someone else's bed.
"You think this place is large, you should see the City Hall," Clive said. "It's humongous."

Prue tried to picture it but just couldn't. This place was probably bigger than the Pokemon League Headquarters, which considering the stonework, was beyond impressive.
The doorman ran into the building and by the time Clive and Prue had reached the counter, he already had the sign up sheet out.
"Welcome back, sir. Maam, are you here for a room?"
Prue nodded. She placed thirty Pokedollars on the counter, "If there's a room next to him available, could I get it?" she motioned to Clive.
The thought of currency conversion didn't occur to her. Her entire world used the same kind of money. She knew the words "currency" and "conversion" but the concept would have been lost on her.

The clerk raised an eyebrow at Prue's offer of 30 Pokedollars, and picked up the money. "Ma'am, 30 Pokedollars only converts to about three cents of american money. The hotel room costs 30 dollars."
Clive did the math in his head. "It's about 3000 Pokedollars then."

Prue paled and all but flailed her arms in the fashion of a panicked anime character, "Idon'tknowwhattodoI'veneverdealtwithdifferentcurrenciesbeforewhatamIsupposedtodo!"
And yes, she said it that fast. Clive would be lucky if he understood half of what she said.

Clive whacked Prue upside the head with the pole part of his fishing pole. "Calm down already! Do you have 3000 Pokedollars?"

"Ow!" Prue grabbed her head, fighting to prevent her eyes from welling up with tears. She was mostly successful, and it did calm her down.
"N-no... I wouldn't be panicking if I did. I've got 1300..." she whimpered.
(OOC: Lame short post. XD Sorry)

Clive pulled out his wallet and took out $30. "Here. You can pay be back later for this then."

Prue opened her mouth to argue, but she quickly closed it. She didn't have enough money and Clive wasn't her idea of a "fun" argument. He liked to hit people. She didn't know how she was going to pay him back, though. Most of her income came from winning battles or prize money from contests and tournaments. None of which she saw this world hosting.
The man behind the counter wanted to bang his head against something hard. It had been a really long day. Instead his customer service training took over (he'd dealt with far worse, after all) and handed a key to Prue. It was two numbers down from Clive's room.
"It's the closest we've got."
Prue nodded and took it, "Thank you..." she mumbled, although it was unclear if it was aimed at the man or Clive. Actually, it was aimed at both.

"A'ight then..." Clive said as he lead the way upstairs.
"Watch your step, this place can be rather strange at times," Clive warned as he walked. The facts were these: it had been a long day, his efforts had turned out to be futile, and he had to deal with a girl and her Doberman now.
All he wanted to do at this point was fall asleep in a bed.
The two of them could figure out what they were going to do then.

The hotel chose to cooperate with the pair and they were quickly to their rooms. Prue's door came first, and she paused in front of it, "So... what are we going to do tomorrow? I've had some odd things happen, but I have to admit getting thrown into another world is a new one. And... I don't know what I can do for money. I've always survived one battle to the next."
Prue was usually more optimistic than this, but as she said, the day hadn't qualfied as normal. She looked down at her pokeballs. She needed to talk to her team, and she hoped they wouldn't cause too much havoc.

Clive put a hand on Prue's shoulder. "I dunno about you, but I personally do bounty huntin', making sure evil villains don't get away with anything, for cash. You can try it if you want. Or, you can get a job, like normal blokes do."

Prue paled at the thought of a "job". It had never been anything she had considered. Even jobs around training Pokemon, such as Gym Leaders, had cutthroat competition. And those people had to deal with more paperwork than Prue ever wanted to see. She wasn't good enough to be a Gym Leader anyhow. The only one who had ever not used a "themed" team had been a stand-in for Blaine, and Prue couldn't see herself being limited to one type, even if it was just the moves.
But she didn't feel brave enough for bounty hunting. After all, she wasn't a Ranger! And that creature had scared the daylights out of her. She nodded in an attempt to seem confident, "I'll think about it..." she said.
(OOC: Feel free to time lapse to the next day at any point.)

"Alright then. Good night." Clive said before walking into his own hotel room, and after dinner and a shower, going to bed.
The next morning, Clive had woken up, once again, on the roof.
"How the bloody hell do I keep getting up here?!" Clive screamed.
"I dunno. Don't ask me," said Chip, who was sitting up there too.
"I've got a sneakin' suspicion you're the one who keeps bringin' me up here," Clive said.
"Nah... you should head on downstairs before someone sees you in your boxers, Mr. Bounty Hunter," Chip said. He snatched a pigeon out of midair with his leechsleeve and started chomping on it. Clive grimaced and headed on downstairs, muttering several obscenities under his breath.

(OOC: And Prue just HAD to let her Pokemon sleep out of their Pokeballs. This will be broken up into several sections.)
A brown animal-like creature woke up and shouted its species name. Akuma jerked up and saw that they were not in the room they had fallen asleep in. He jumped up, but when the skulled Pokemon by his side made an indignant noise, he layed down and let the Cubone climb on his back.
"Houndooom. Doom Doom." ("This place is messed up. Hold on tight, I'm gonna bust through any doors we find."
"Bone. Cuuuuuubone!" whined Skeletor. "Okay... We have to hurry up and find Prue!"
Akuma rolled his eyes and shot a Shadow Ball at the door in front of them, stepping past its remains into the hall. Prue was on the second floor and Skeletor wouldn't take it well if they didn't find her soon. -----
What looked like a blue and white beachball crossed with a mouse wandered down the hall of one of the hotel's many floors. She looked very annoyed, and was muttering to herself. She reached for a pouch around her neck and pulled it wide open, and the area was flooded with the scent of sea salt. She hated being alone. When you were alone, there was no one to notice you. Marina waddled down the hall and came to a set of stairs. -----
Zelda woke up in what looked like a kitchen. She jerked her head around, her first thought being that Prue had forgotten her someplace again. She felt like smacking herself for thinking that. The area had a strange aura, she realized the building expressed it by randomly teleporting people. It wasn't the only one that could do that. She closed her eyes and appeared in the lobby of the hotel, right next to the man who had given Prue her keys. -----
A purple creature with a head that loooked like it was a witch's hat floated through a few walls. A green pouch was tied to her "mid-section". She paused and flew back through the wall she had just come from. Instead of coming into the bedroom she had just left, she popped out from behind the man her trainer had been travelling with earlier. A grin that could only be described as evil mischief spread on her face and glared at Clive. A wavy beam shot from Chao's eyes.
The only things that would prevent Clive from becoming very confused were a strong mind or supernatural sense that would allow him to sense and dodge the Confuse Ray. -----
Prue yawned and rolled over in bed. She opened her eyes and blinked a few times. Where were her Pokemon!?
"Pachi! Pa pachi!"
She jerked her head to the foot of the bed. Sora was there and jumping up and down waving her arms. She jumped off the bed and ran around the room. She even looked in Prue's shoes. She jumped out of bed and dressed quickly.
"Sora, shoulders!" she said. Sora ran up Prue's body and rested on her shoulder. Prue grabbed her bag and ran out of the room. She began banging on Clive's door.
"Wake up! Hello! Mister!!" she shouted. She was almost crying and deep in the depths of panic. Sora clung on for dear life.
(OOC: Marina opened up Sea Incense, it could lead others too her. Zelda used Teleport, and probably scared the crap out of the clerk. Akuma and Skeletor are in some random hall, but not the same one as Marina.
Chao may or may not surprise Clive. And I can't remember if Clive introduced himself, but Prue's not good with names either. XD)
