Kaito yawned and climbed out of bed. Zero had gone somewhere at about five that morning... So Kaito was still alone.
Well, that didn't mean he couldn't go do something while Zero was gone. For some reason, he didn't feel like watching TV. Perhaps they'd found the body by now.

After a bit, he headed outside to get some fresh air, just as a very familiar van pulled up.

Stepping out of the van was Miku and Luka. Miku's eyes were still red. For some reason, Kaito's first instinct was to run. But he didn't, watching the two vocaloids.

Luka stared at Kaito, who was staring back at her.
"He did not leave the hotel, at least," Luka said. "That saves us a fair bit of time."

[mugenginga]

Harmona glanced out, surprised to see Kaito still at the Hotel. She pulled something out of her pocket as she opened the door. It was a piece of paper. She glanced as the others were beginning to get out.

"Don't rush him," she said quietly. Kaito looked ready to bolt.

Rin and Len jumped out too, Len with a serious expression and Rin with a scared one.

Luka put her hand on Miku's shoulder. Miku herself looked like she was about to run to smack Kaito.

"Not now, Miku." Luka said. "We need Kaito to come back."

Kaito looked over the group. Even Harmona as here, though Gakupo was not. That meant that Gakupo was still in the hopsital even though it had been about a day or so. Kaito sighed, and started walking away. Maybe it he walked calmly, they wouldn't follow him.

"Omomuki-san, wait a minute." Harmona said. She held out the piece of paper slightly to indicate it was for him. It was on cheap yellow paper. The kind you'd find on low-cost writing pads. It was folded up so the writing on it wasn't visible, but it was clear it wasn't anything legal or otherwise official.

She glanced over at Miku, hoping the teal haired Vocaloid would at least let Kaito take the note. She had no intentions of stopping him leaving.

Len just stood beside everyone watching, Rin was barely looking.

Kaito took the note, and read over it. Gakupo was that concerned for him?

Kaito-san

First of all, I want you to know I'm not upset. Only surprised. As I'm sure this will come up, I did almost die. I'm telling you this to try and avoid a reaction from you learning it from the others.

If you want to go with Zero, I'm also not upset. I can't claim to understand it, but it is your choice. But I also can't remain on friendly terms with you if it occurs. I think he's going to drive you to murder, and that won't end well.

The others are really upset, and I haven't been able to find the right way to tell them I'm not mad. I can't speak, so everything has to be done via writing or Harmona's systems. All I can say is that you had better stick by whatever decision you make. I won't be happy if you try to go all wishy washy. It's obvious with the way the group is reacting you're going to have to pick either him or us. I don't like forcing you into a corner like this, but its what it has come down to.

We've been treating you based on improper assumptions. Do what you want. Not what you think Zero or we want, but what you want. As long as you stick by that decision I'll support it... even if it means we're enemies.

Gakupo Kamui

Kaito pocketed the note. "I'm sorry... I just need time to think."

Miku's face was red with anger, but Luka was keeping her back. If Miku exploded now, Kaito would make his decision then and there.

"Alright Kaito-sama, take your time." Len said with a less serious face.

Rin didn't say anything, she just held onto Len

Harmona nodded. She had no idea what the note said. She didn't really know what to do with the situation, either. Luka seemed to have Miku under control for the time being...

"We should leave," she said to the others. She didn't have any idea where to go, but she wanted to give Kaito his space. She was regretting not reading the note.

Luka nodded, and Miku turned around. She was avoiding looking at Kaito, for reasons that pretty much everyone knew. Eventually, Luka got Miku into the van.

They needed to do something. Miku's concert was still coming up soon.

"Manager-san... I have an idea." Luka said.

Rin and Len got into the van as well as they sat down next to Miku

Harmona tapped the driver. When he asked her where they were going she glared the glare of one thousand deaths at him. He muttered something about "forward, right" and the van pulled away.

"What is it, Megurine-san?"

"I'm pretty sure you were going to do this anyways, but let us all perform in Miku's concert. It would be a good way to raise funds, especially since... the futures of a couple of us are uncertain at the moment," Luka said. She was avoiding going into any detail, due to Miku's presence in the van at the moment. She was sure the reason Miku was feeling this way was because of a broken heart; she hadn't tried to hide she was in love with Kaito after all.

"That sounds great." Len responded somewhat enthusiastically yet depressed.

Harmona's look softened a bit. She sighed and nodded, "Actually I wasn't, but that sounds like a good idea. Providing everyone is up to it," her eyes flicked towards Miku and then to Rin as she said that, "I'll need to know soon if I'm going to work it."
