Her pale skin seemed to sparkle, and it made many guys look at her. She hated that...cursed vampire beauty. Good merely forced a small smile at them and walked away, showing she wasn't interested. Yet her mind was completely elsewhere, back in Void city. She had left so quickly...so abrubtly. Maybe it wouldn't be noticed she was gone? That would be good...it was better her face was forgotten. Good was very sure of that now. She hated hurting people, but it seems that was all she did...on accident. Why did she always hurt someone? Whether it be emotionally or physically...since she had to drink blood. It hurt her so bad...and it hurt someone else. Life is too hard... she silently whined. L noticed Good. His dark eyes seemed to stare into her red eyes. He looked almost emotionless, yet he was bubbling with confusion and curiosity. Who is this woman? She looks so pale and... she has scarlet eyes... Could she be from beyond that dimensional rift? L decided to ask, so he began to walk towards her in his usual slumped form.

Face down in the dirt she said..
The feeling of being watched made the hairs on the back of her neck bristle. Her scarlet eyes began to flick back and forth, eyeing the crowd of students. With a hesitant look, Good stepped back and looked behind her. Who held her in his or her's gaze? Of course some had glanced at her, but she was being stared at. But by who? After a few more moments the nervous female caught inked ones that bore into her light scarlet ones. He was behind her, and she spun around to face him. The black haired male was coming towards her and her eyes examined him. Not in the way of checking out, yet a wary way of seeing who she was about to be confronted by. He was taller then her, much taller. The male, she estimated, was 5' 9"...while she only stood at 5' 5". He was a full 5 inches taller then her, and even slumped as he was, she'd have to look up at him. He was raven-haired and underneath his sable eyes were signs of lack of sleep. His skin was pasty-pale, but not dead pale like her own. His posture was slouched, of course, she had noticed this first along with his height. Really...he kinda seemed like a ferret. At least in looks, that was, though it was sorta...cute? Good wasn't sure how to describe it, but she took in he was a very eccentric character. Different. She shivered as he neared, the nervous feeling swelling up inside of her small body. What did he want? She wondered this as she tried to keep her feet planted firmly to the ground. Don't run, it was a bad thing to do. But, what if it was the best thing to do? Good remembered in Void city...but this place...she had such a strange feeling. Like she had been here before...but who knew where she had been? Maybe she had been here when China was with her...but that shinigami was dead. Good's eyes remained on him until he got too close, then she began to move back slightly. "Y-yes...?" she said quietly and stopped when she felt the distance was ok. "U-umm..."

Sorry...what was he apologizing for? Good gave a slightly strange look, but it disappeared as he continued to speak. So, he hadn't meant it in an apologizing way. Yet another thing she'd have to learn, such confusion. Good was used to things only meaning one thing, but they all could mean different things? Humph. Dimensional rift? She tilted her head at time and looked utterly confused. What was that? Was that something that was normal, and she'd have to learn about? "W-ell...I-I did c-ome from...Void City..." Good responded quietly, looking down. "But I-I am o-originally f-rom Japan..." Speaking of which, this was Japan, wasn't it!? She remembered this and knew her "home" wasn't far from here. It made her shudder at the thought, being in Japan made her feel so close to that place. What a horrible thing to recall yet it always came so clearly into her thoughts, shoving through whatever else she was thinking. The memories ripped through her thoughts whenever they broke free and always sent her into a pit of hell inwardly. But right now she was able to keep them chained up and locked away in the cell she had shoved them into in the back of her mind. Good gave a small bow as she decided to speak again, which was a rare thing. It was not heard that she spoke more then about 2 sentences at a time. "U-Um..." She looked up at him, "a-m I...allowed t-to be here...? I-I haven't s-een this place before s-so I don't k-now..." L Lawliet her mind rang the word as her shinigami eyes saw the name. She stood straight again. Her eyes were still wary, yet there was a large amount of curiosity. That wasn't unusual, Good was always a curious person. Something seemed to click in her mind, though. A name she had forgotten, yet now it seemed to be coming back. "Kira..." she mouthed as she looked elsewhere. Good remembered now, hearing about Kira when she had escaped. Yes...was this the world he was in? Apparently there were separate worlds...maybe that's what this "dimensional rift" was. Why had she forgotten the name? Was it because something else had led her elsewhere? So the memory had been stored away till she had returned here, to Japan? She was back now, and so many memories from when she had first gotten away seemed to be unlocking. Kira...a killer...Yin...Evil...the two had helped her, and how she had helped Evil-san. Yes, she had stored all these away for later. Pushed them all aside, and they had been forgotten...how so? What events had there been that she had locked them all away? China...yes...she had died soon after because she saved her. Was that why? Why she had chosen for forget for now and come back later...? When the pain of loss was duller? So many things had happened when she first got away...it was amazing.

"So you're from here, and yet... Never mind... I see no reason you cannot wander the University grounds, but I do not think they'd let you in unless you were a student or employee here," L said. Then he saw her mouth Kira. His eyes narrowed. Suspicious... very suspicious.

Face down in the dirt she said...
Had she confused him? Her eyes flashed questioningly at him, what? What she had said had been brutally honest. She really couldn't remember how she ended up at that lake. Good just remembered...being there. If she recalled correctly, Good had fed before going there. So that means that her other side had gone there and she had taken back over when they got there. Yet, she could recall memories from when she wasn't exactly herself. Good didn't bother to try and figure out how she got places. She just kinda...ended up there. Yeah, that's how it was; she just ended up there. As he said she was allowed on the campus, she gave an absent nod. That was good; at least she wouldn't get in trouble for hanging around. As for getting in, that wouldn't be a problem at all. That was, if she did want to go into the classes. She didn't want to, anyway. But, it would be easy as counting to three if she did want to. The human eye wouldn't be able to catch her speed.
With a sudden realization, Good looked back at L. That name was so familiar...who? Who was he? She ran that name through her head many upon many times. L...L....the...the detective? The one trying to catch Kira? Her curiosity suddenly spurted forward even more. That's where she knew his name! She had heard his name when she had heard about Kira! Immediately she began to rummage through her sack she carried. Good pulled out a black book with the printing "Death Note" on the top of it. Good gazed down at it and her slender fingers slid over the words. "T-this .... Death Note...I-I remember n-ow..." she murmured as she soon held it in one hand. Good back up at L with a very curious gaze. "D-o...do you k-now...about t-the Death Note...? L-san?" Good flinched as she said that and she wondered if she should’ve. But it had slipped out of her mouth. Curses, she should’ve watched herself. “A-lso…of the e-eyes?” If he didn’t know about either of them, Good would gladly explain. But, she felt unsafe about it. China wasn’t here to protect her anymore; there was no shinigami on her book. China no longer flew behind her, China was dead. The shinigami had given her life for the young vampire. Now it was very unsafe to talk about the Death Note around others. It would also be harder for people to believe in what she said. Since she lost China, she lost proof without actually using the note. Well, there were always the shinigami eyes she possessed. She could always give away some names and stuff. Good wasn’t allowed to give life spans, but names would be ok. Good looked down at her Death Note and realized her hands were shaking. Huh?
Looking down, she noticed her whole body was shivering. Her skin was flinching a bit and the fear washed into her mind. Yes, she knew she was very close. She knew her body was reacting to be too close. But she had to stay close so he can see the Death Note. Her panicked mind and body would just have to get over it right now. That shocked her quite a bit, that she would think such a thing. But, this was serious! She could help Kira be caught and brought down. Something else seemed to catch her attention also. Her scarlet eyes were getting darker, and blood scents were becoming more acute to her nose. He smelt very nice…his blood scent was sweet, like sugar. Not better then Felix’s…his would’ve been unbearable if she had been hungry. But she hadn’t been hungry…Felix…her mind lingered back to him. How he had looked so depressed…so sad. The tears…it made a depression swell into her heart. How could she apologize? How could she even face him again? It would be better if he forgot her…yes…it would be so much better on them both. Good felt bad, not able to share his feelings. But they hardly even knew each other, how could one be so attached? No time to think about it now, she had something else to do. Good watched L; well aware he would probably wonder how she knew. How she could see…did he wonder who she was? She had yet to introduce herself, she realized. Well, she would introduce herself when he asked. Was it likely he even would?

L frowned and looked at the Death Note. He touched it and shook his head. "I do not know of this Death Note, but if you would let me examine it..." Not waiting for an answer, he took the Death Note softly from her quivering hand and read over the rules on the cover. "... This... this could be a sick joke, but all of the information inside of it is exactly accurate to how Kira kills... The person whose name is written inside this book shall die... The user needs a face in their mind so that no one else carrying the same name is affected... If the cause of death is specified, the victim shall die in that given specification... If the cause of death is not specified, the victim will simply die of a heart attack within forty seconds... If the cause of death is specified, details of the death should be written in within six minutes and forty seconds... This is too hard worked on to be a prank. This could be the fashion in which Kira kills... This is a great help to the task force and I... But what eyes are you talking about?"

He did not even notice she had said his name? Or had he noticed and just not said anything? She frowned softly as he took the notebook. He had asked to examine it as he took it, so she really had no time to protest. It wasn't like she was going to anyways, Good wanted him to look at it. She had nothing about it to hide, because Good had never written someone's name down. With a slight nod, Good watched as he began to read over the rules. It was all in Japanese, of course. Good did know English, but the book she had was in Japanese, which she also knew. China had told her Ryuku had written his rules in English, and that the Death Note he had was the only one written in English. All the shinigami had Japanese books, it seemed. It was very interesting to listen to what China had to say. China always had something that would let Good listen for hours and hours at a a time. Her shinigami had been quite a rule-breaker, telling everything to Good. Even things like how a shinigami died and such. Good knew a lot about the shinigami because of her. But, now that China was dead, was there someone to kill her with the Death Note? Not like that'd happen anyways, Good had no name to write down. Also, she was already dead, a vampire. So, she was pretty much free from that thing. There was a lot of things about the Death Note she was free from. She didn't kill anyone, so there was never any misery from it. Good didn't know about what happened when she died, though. She didn't know anything about death, and really didn't want to.
Her attention was brought back when he said something. She hadn't caught it, though. Well, her mind had, and it was currently registering it. The last thing she had heard from him with about it possibly being a prank and the first rule. Now he was saying it was worked on too hard to be a prank. She nodded quietly and listened till he was finished speaking. It was how Kira killed, Good knew that for a fact. She was glad it would be a great help, and then there was his question. She looked down shyly at her feet for a moment. Her whole body was still quivering, begging to step back at least a step. But, she couldn't leave her Death Note, for one. Also, she wanted to help out as much as possible. "T-he Shinigami e-eyes...." Good responded quietly, eyes flicking back up to his face as his name and lifespan became avaliable again. "I can s-ee...anyone's n-ame and lifespan..I-If I can see his or h-er's face...." She gave a shy smile, "I-I can see your n-ame and lifespan r-ight n-now...for e-xample..."

Face down in the dirt she said...
The question made her flinch and she looked around. "H-ere...around s-so many people...?" She asked, looking back at him. A worried look crossed her face. What if Kira was around? What if he overheard her words? But, this is what she'd have to do to prove it. The eyes would have to be proven to exist. A soft frown crossed her lips as scarlet eyes skiddishly looked around at everyone. No one seemed to be paying obvious attention. But what if someone was listening? With a small whimper, Good looked back at him and sighed. Her whole body protested, but she moved forward. She shuddered and looked ready to jump as far away as possible at any quick movement. Really, she was compared to a scared animal by most. Leaning forward, she spoke as softly as possible but tried to remain audible. "Y-your n-a-me...i-it's..." her eyes skimmed around very quickly, "L...L-Lawliet....i-s..is i-t not...?" Instantly she backed away to where her shivering wasn't so bad. In her hands she now held her Death Note. But it was gone rather quickly as she placed it back in her bag. She felt a tad safer now, knowing she had her Death Note back. Her eyes shifted to the ground and she looked at her feet. There was nothing to do now but wait for his response. Hopefully this would help him believe the Death Note and her eyes. "A-nyone e-lse..y-you want m-e to g-et a n-ame f-from...?"

L shook his head. She proved it. He could hardly believe it, but she had proven it real. "No... That's good enough... But then that means Shinigami do exist... Kira is either a Shinigami... or a human possessed by one like you... Where is your Shinigami anyway?" L asked Good.

She nodded quietly as he said Shinigami were real. Shinigami were real, Good had known one once. Too bad she was dead now. Why had she given her life up for her? Good wondered that to this day, though, she did know how to kill a shinigami. A shinigami had to save a human who he or she was in love with. China had loved her...Why? Good had considered China a very close friend and had cared for the shinigami. Not in a way of love, no. Good didn't know how to love. But she did know how to have a best friend felt, since China had taught her that. His words slipped through one ear and out the other, but she grasped a few words in her thoughts. Good held a silence for a few moments, before giving a small jerk and looking up. "O-oh..um..." she muttered, "K-Kira is a-a human l-ike me...n-no shinigami would h-ave such a-a behavior. A-s for China...." Good bit her bottom lip as she remembered. What a horrible memory it was to remember. Yet, she was so thankful to the female shinigami. Good never wanted to forget her. "S-she....died..."
It came out a painful whisper and her eyes clouded. But the emotion quickly faded as she hid it. No need to show that now. Good's eyes shifted off the ground and to L. "M-y notebook...n-no longer h-olds a shinigami..."

"Ah... forgive me for asking then... But this information is helpful and I promise that Kira will be caught... Your Shinigami will be avenged. In the meantime, I must tell Light-kun about these recent discoveries, but he's passed through that dimensional rift, so there's no way to contact him just yet... The ability to kill using a notebook... Perhaps Light is Kira."

"I-it's alright.." Good responded quietly as he apologized. It was going to help them catch Kira? Her eyes grew a tad bright at that and she gave a very small smile. She was glad that her information was going to help out. Good bowed to him and her smile grew brighter as he said her shinigami would be avenged. Straightening up, her eyes grew slightly curious. Who was Light? Someone helping on the Kira case? That made Good think for a moment, but she frowned. She had a question on her mind, but she didn't want to ask it. She didn't know if she was allowed to ask it. Who knew with the world these days? Yet again there was something about some dimensional rift. He had crossed it? It made her mind begin to spin, especially when he said Light may be Kira. "R-really...? You a-already suspect s-omeone...?" Her eyes held a small awe in them. He already had a suspect? Really!? Good found that amazing, but she found a lot of things amazing. "W-ell...i-if you want...I-I could go l-ook for him...? O-Or..you c-ould come w-with me?" She shrugged indifferently, which wasn't something she normally did. Her body was still quivering unhappily, but she ignored it the best she could. It was a natural thing, she knew. She'd have to get over it...somehow.
