Boomerang nodded onto Luceid. Luceid let out a howl. Suddenly, from the sky, giant swords rain down onto Lucifer, penetrating him and sticking him to the ground.

(...um... wow XD not quite entirely sure what's going on anymore XD)
Grunty pouted. It seemed that no one wanted to fight her! What a rip! She dropped her hands to her sides, the lightning disappearing. She crossed her arms and tapped her foot annoyingly, waiting for them to finish.

Lucifer let himself get stuck. He already knew what to do.
Kite and Tir, meanwhile, readied themselves for combat.
Jack Cruiser, who noticed Grunty and thought she looked like a demon, pulled out his pistol while in the tree and immediately tried to snipe her in the head.

"Huh...? WAHHHH!!" Grunty barely had time to put up a sheild and block the shot. "HA! Bout TIME one of you noticed me!" She sent a bolt of lightning Jack's way.

"What? She's not a demon?" But then she shot the lightning at him and he had to jump out in the open to avoid it. "Argh! I take that back!" He pulled out his machine gun and began firing rapidly at the witch.

"EEYAHAHAHAHAHA!" she cackled typically, leaping on her broomstick and flying rapidly across the sky, avoiding the shots. "Nice try!" She shot a swirly-looking spell, one that homed in on Jack.

Jack took the hit. Some of the damage was recoiled by his armor, but he still took some as well. "Arrrgh! Damnit!"

"OOMPH!" Grunty spiraled slightly from the blow, quickly regaining her speed. "THAT THE BEST YOU DORKS GOT!?!"

Tir turned to face Grunty. "Do you have a soul?" he asked before pulling using his rune. "Black Shadow!" A black orb would surround Gruntilda and shadows would come from the darkness aiming to attack her. She could dodge, though it would be hard.

"HAH!" Grunty blocked the blow with her sheild. The shadows bounced off easily. "You and your showy magic! It needs to be EFFECTIVE, not pretty to look at!"

Danukas' insane yell was loud enough to move some of the snow on the ground. "You're all too merciful! How do you expect death to be kind to you if you never act as its servant?!"

"If you want effective, then fine." Tir then used another spell. "Deadly Fingertips!" This time, Grunty could not block. She could only resist. For it was not an attack, but an attempt to rip her soul right out of her body. The black aura appeared under her and spread out. If she could not resist, her body would dissapear and her soul would be eaten by the rune. If she could, then nothing would happen.

(ho shit XD that's brutal. I don't wanna kill Grunty yet, though, she still has to meet Banjo and Kazooie)
"URGH...!" Grunty fought off the spell with all her might. "FOOL! I'VE BEEN DEAD BEFORE! YOU AIN'T SENDING ME BACK YET!" She broke free. "NOT 'TIL I DESTORY THAT STUPID BEAR AND BIRD!!!"
