Cain had noticed Abel had received a message on his COMP, but had continued walking. He'd send the mail moments later, not caring about the lack of response. Kaido would show up, Cain knew he'd been somewhat bored recently. From the ITS he had headed straight to the Apartments. Well, sort of. He'd weaved through the alleys and positioned himself in a manner that Kaido could see him but it would be damn hard for anyone in the apartments to.
-----
About forty minutes from that, Bakura was coming out of having passed out the night before. Considering his injuries, one could pretty much only figure it was pain or a nightmare that had brought him up. He shouldn't have been fully rested from six to seven hours of sleep, after all. He seemed awake enough, and a lot of the swelling had gone down over the night. He jerked a bit when he realized he was covered, and gave a painful turning of his head and saw Adachi sitting in a chair there. The officer really did worry about him...
A bit of the television could be heard in the room from the open door. It had reached the morning weather report. There was a long bit of commentary on the odd weather, followed up by the forecast. The reasoning for the odd weather comments was revealed with the prediction for the night following this one. Rain, even though it was well past time when it should have been snow.
-----
Kaido showed up around that time. Cain didn't wave to him or give any indication he was there. The man was doing some kind of typing. He was frowning at the screen, and while his fingers were still moving it was clear he didn't expect anything to happen. It was only when Kaido was right next to him he closed the laptop and stood up from the crate he had been using as a seat.
"Abel isn't here yet," Cain stated.
"I can see that," Kaido muttered, "Hey, you think you can actually get us outta here?"
Cain turned away and looked out the alley. After a few moments Kaido realized he wasn't going to get a response. He scowled and kicked a stone that happened to be in front of him, causing it to skitter out onto the street.

Abel hadn't been expecting much from his detour. The shop wasn't even there any more. Just an abandoned lot, and a couple cats. They'd probably freeze to death if the weather got much colder, but Abel didn't have time to stop and care for a couple of strays. They'd ran from him anyways.
In any case, the shop was gone. But what was nagging at him continued to. She hadn't been afraid to die, she hadn't begged for her life. She'd taken it, only giving in to fear after it began to hit her that he was going to kill her. It had been her damn emotions that had started all of this. But she had taken it almost like... well, almost like how he'd expect Cain to accept a death like that. Unless they knew they were going to come back, someone didn't just accept a death like that. She was out there somewhere and Abel knew it.
Abel finally managed to make it to where Cain and Kaido were waiting in the alley. "Looks like I'm the last one to get here. Are you guys ready?"

Kaido punched his right fist into his left hand and smirked, "More then."
"We aren't going to attack anyone unless it becomes necessary," Cain warned Kaido. He smirked, "Although I have doubts it won't. The situation here involves the man's love interest. Nyarlathotep is probably in the building somewhere. If we have to be even mildly concerned about anything, its Izanagi and his avatar. I don't imagine he has access to all of his divine abilities, but even just a few could cause a fight. If that happens, don't do anything stupid. Summon any demons you can and let them run interference."
Kaido scowled at the specificity of the instructions. Cain didn't react, and he walked out of the alley. If anyone was keeping an eye out for them, they'd know they were there now. He gestured his hand a bit without turning his head. It was clear to the group because they'd fought before that Kaido was to take flank. It wasn't that Cain had doubts about Abel being able to defend himself, it was simply stragetical sense. You didn't put the ruler in an exposed position. With the formation set up they made their way to the apartments.
-----
Bakura looked down at the blanket, still seeming a bit puzzled. He let out a cough, and it was probably that which got Adachi's attention. A small bit of saliva too red for comfort came up onto Bakura's hand. He looked at it as if he didn't understand what he was seeing.

Abel looked a bit puzzled as Cain spoke about Izanagi, but he didn't say anything. It was entirely possibly Souji had returned to the apartments after he'd gotten to the coffee shop, and he hadn't exactly metnion the fact he'd seen him there to Cain. So he just assumed his position in the formation they'd fallen into often before.
It wasn't until they got to the stairs leading up to Minato's floor that Abel stopped.
"I don't think we have to worry about Izanagi. I don't sense him here," Abel said. "I'm pretty sure Bakura is though..." He looked a little uncomfortable at that, but he continued onward.
------------
Adachi jolted awake at Bakura's coughing. He looked around confused for a moment before looking toward Bakura. He blinked as he saw the small bit of red saliva in Bakura's hand, and his eyes widened. That was not good.
"Woah, hey, are you okay?" Adachi asked, standing up.

Cain paused at Abel's comment. He let out a smirk. There were two options inherent there, and both had levels of amusing to them. He didn't even consider the other option. If Abel was taking the effort to pick up on the humans in the complex, he'd be aware of the Millenium Items. And Cain being Cain, he could tell Abel wasn't picking up on the Ring. There was the guilt over having attacked Bakura, but Cain made no outward sign he was aware of that.
They wouldn't have to deal with Izanagi at least. Cain had known it was unlikely, but over the years he'd learned a level of caution when dealing with gods. He lead the group to Minato's door and gave three knocks on it. Minato hadn't struck him as the type to handle grief all that well, and it had been rather clear there had been a relationship between him and Death's human form. At worst, they'd have to get in without permission. At least he could avoid them breaking the door down.
-----
Bakura stared at the blood in his hand for a few more moments after Adachi spoke. He seemed rather surprised as things clicked into place. He frowned, his expression pained. He shook his head before coughing again. If his expression was any indication, it hurt like hell.
"I think I'm bleeding internally..." he muttered, looking a little panicked.
Well, it couldn't be too severe as he'd woken up from having fallen asleep, but it was something to be concerned about. He'd been a bit open with his guess there, though. And used a somewhat fancy word. Wasn't out of the question for a teenager his age to know, but still. Kid probably watched too much television.

There was a bit of delay before the door to Minato's apartment opened up. Minato still looked like hell, even with the encouragement (and it had been rather CONSTANT, too, especially from Teddie) the others had been trying to give him. He was still wearing Ryoji's scarf.
He took a moment to react to Cain, Abel, and Kaido, but his expression fell pretty far when he saw them. Oh shit.
"What are you doing here?!" Minato asked. Abel's expression didn't change.
"We just want to ask you about a few things, Minato," Abel said. Minato looked more than a bit worried. Especially considering Kaido was there, and not someone like Seth or Atsuro who would hesitate to rip his arms off.
-----------------
Adachi looked a bit worried. Bakura was bleeding internally, that was not good. "Oh crap! Uh... look, I'll see if I can get you a doctor, you really need to get to a hospital..." He really wished the hospital would go ahead and get rebuilt already. Bakura needed that kind of medical attention, and bad.

If Minato was in any condition to pay attention to subtle hand signals, he'd realize a gesture was made from Cain to Kaido. The man smirked and took a position that would allow him to get to Minato quickly if it came to that. Cain took a step forward, elimanting most of the distance between himself and Minato. He stared the blue haired teenager in the face and spoke in a dead serious tone.
"Answer them honestly and we'll leave you alone," Cain stated, "I'll let your imagination come up with what will happen if you don't."
-----
Bakura winced. His chest seemed to hurt quite a bit if the way he scrunched up was any indication. He gave up trying to sit up and laid back down, wiping the blood on the blanket. He swallowed a bit hard.
"...Isn't there another one someplace?" He managed to mutter out.

Minato gulped. He didn't like his chances. There was Abel, who could probably kill him by blinking with that supposedly "God-like" power he had. Cain was... Cain, and even though Kaido had been the only one he'd gotten into a real fight with, he'd gotten subdued pretty quickly after that. And Kaido had shifted into a position that would give him a better chance at pulling his arms from his sockets. That was just lovely. His imagination was already doing a fine enough job of imagining what would happen if he didn't answer these questions truthfully, as the last few sentences have indicated.
"Fine. Ask away," Minato growled.
"First of all, are you aware that the Fall is in nine days?" Abel asked. Minato blinked.
"What? Nine days? It's supposed to be on the full moon," Minato replied.
"Your Death Clock says otherwise," Abel said. Minato's eyes widened. Things were going faster here; they'd known that. And there was the clincher.
----------
"There's a makeshift one in Bonsai Village, but that's a bit far from here, and I don't have a car..." Adachi said. He looked toward Bakura. "Do you think you could make it to a taxi? I might be able to get one to take you there."

Cain kept a serious expression. That alone was an indication of things, usually he'd be smirking by now. At the confirmation he'd be answering their questions, he gave Minato his space back. Well, some of it. As Minato reacted to Abel's comment, he spoke again. No need to give the teenager time to recover.
"Izanagi seems to think if this world Falls, ours will as well. Giving that you stopped it once before, can it be stopped again?"
Cain had been careful with his wording. His expression hadn't changed. Abel had said your Death Clock said otherwise. Meaning he hadn't exposed the immediate danger his group was in. No need to let Minato know they're clocks read the same, but it revealed just enough to prove he had a vested interest in the situation.
-----
Bakura had closed his eyes, perhaps to rest them. He took in a few breaths as Adachi asked his question. He sat up and seemed to look around for something. At not finding it, he gave an unpleasant looking swallow. He weakly nodded his head.
"I can at least try..."

"I don't know. It took my death and an extremely rare Persona formed from the bonds I made with other people to stop it before, and I can't make that Persona anymore. It was probably only my connection with Death that allowed me to seal it in the first place before," Minato said.
"Could someone else do it?" Abel asked.
"Souji seems to think he can, but I doubt it," Minato said.
----------------
Adachi gave a pained smile. "I can help you walk if you can't walk on your own..."

"Did he give any reasons why he might be able to?" Cain asked, having his suspicions giving what he'd seen of the group but wanting confirmation.
Kaido looked irritated.
-----
Bakura's eyes widened at the offer. He coughed again, but he stifled it via a closed mouth and there didn't seem to be much in the way of blood brought up this time. He shook his head slowly and began making his way out of the side of the bed opposite of Adachi. There was still the issue of why he'd come back in the first place, but it was likely not on Adachi's mind giving his condition.

Minato thought for a moment. "Not that I can think of. But he probably thinks he can because he's a Wild Card like me."
"Wild Card?" Abel asked. He couldn't remember that term ever being brought up around him.
"Someone who can use multiple Personas," Minato said. Now that he thought about it, Abel could remember Souji using several different Personas before.
-----------
Adachi still looked pained as he walked from the side of the bed and followed Bakura out of the room. He wished he could get back at who did this. He wished he could. But he was that person's property now. Property wasn't supposed to fight back. He grimaced at that thought.

Cain hadn't known the term for it, but what Minato said confirmed what he'd been thinking. He'd seen various members of the group use the "inner demons", but it had only been Souji and Minato who had used different types. He took a step back as if to leave, but paused.
"If you're trying to stop him due to his life, you're being an idiot. No need to kill worlds out of stupid emotional attachment. Do try not to screw things over just to rescue your boyfriend, either."
The man had paid close attention to where he was in relation to the others. If Minato decided to react poorly to that jab, Kaido would be between him and Minato in a flash. He'd gestured as much after turning. He wasn't concerned about the Personas either. The things required concentration to maintain, after all.
-----
Bakura seemed to be having significant trouble. Once he looked like he was going to collapse, but a gritting of teeth and a look of somewhat uncharacteristic stubbornness would solve the problem. When he reached the door, he fiddled with the locks a few times before dropping his hands to the side and leaning against the wall right next to it. He didn't look like he'd get those on his own.

Minato glared at Cain as he made his comment. He took a step forward. That had been uncalled for. "Hey!"
Abel took a look at Minato before starting to walk away. If Minato tried to chase after them, Kaido could handle it. As much as Abel disliked it, especially how much worse this would make the situation between him and Yuugi's friends, there wasn't much else he could do. He had to show his power sometimes, right...?
-----------------
Adachi winced as Bakura stumbled over to the door. Once the teenager started having trouble with the locks, Adachi walked over and undid them for him. "There you go."

Cain slipped to the front of the group, and Abel kept his position. Kaido gave a grin towards Minato, maintaining his position for a bit longer and cracking his knuckles. After a moment he turned away. He actually hoped Minato would take it as a sign of dropping his guard. His presence here had turned out to be a waste of time so far.
-----
Bakura looked down and seemed pained as Adachi got the door for him. He took in a few more breaths and made it out into the hall. He was doing as well as could be expected, possibly better, but he was still having to use the wall for support. It was probable he wasn't asking for help merely cause of his personality. He didn't want to put Adachi out more than he had to.
