moonlit walk in the park..for some

Kurai was walking around the tombstones, looking at the stone as though it where a welcoming mat. The dark aiding him as he stalked about the graveyard he looked around. Tombstones and several paths as far as his trained eye could see. As he continued to walk he jumped up on a tomb to get a better look around. The several trees and tombs seemed inviting, but one thing stood out from all the rest, it was another figure. Cloaked as he was, the figure seemed to be larger than he actually was. He recognized whom it was immediately. It was Rancore, his enemy from his home planet. Kurai Raised his magnum and shot, but as soon as the trigger was pulled Rancore moved dodging it.

"Damn." Kurai said, following Rancore with his eyes. When Rain stopped, Kurai took yet another shot. this time Rancore didn't move but he deflected the bullet back at Kurai, who dodged swearing. When Kurai looked back, Rancore was gone.

"I suggest you stop shooting Rai, its no use" Rancore said, his blade tip put against Kurai's back.

"Rain, how nice to see you." Kurai said turning swiftly putting his gun in Rancore's face

"Halt your attack Rai. I have not come to fight you." Rain dropped his sword from Rai's back, and it rested on the ground

"Really? then why have you followed me to this planet then?" Rai said getting closer to Rain

"To bring you back to ours." Rain said, stepping back bringing his sword back up again.

"Why would i want to go back, I would just be put into prison"

"I'm on the run too, but you have less of a sentence than I do, or have you forgotten?"

"Forget it" Rai said, turning around and walking away.

"At least let is partner up. There are some powerful being here, I can sense them"

"I can take them on my own" Rai said continuing

"One on one yes, but get past 3 and your screwed."

Rai stopped. He grunted "Fine, have it your way, but you better not slow me down if we do get into a fight."

"You know me, I'm just as fast, if not faster than you, I wont be a burden on your speed." At this Rain walked up to Rai and extended his left hand, as both of their right hands were taken up by their weapons. Rai shook it reluctantly and they continued through the graveyard

Walking through the graveyard, the two were instantly aware of a noticeably powerful force walking past them not too far off. Not just one though... Two in fact.

In fact, Gantz was walking not too far away. It had been a little over a week since he had his fight with Him and saved his lady love Rosaline, and he had decided to take a little walk to help clear his mind. It was so much to take in, knowing a good amount of his friends were awaiting him back home. Sighing, he put his hands behind his head, "Such a peaceful night."

"Why are we walking through here?" Came Soul Calibur from her sheathe. She pretty much just went with Gantz since she had swore herself to be Gantz's guardian when needed. "Knowing your relationship with Rosaline, I would have thought you'd stick around a little longer so you could catch up... If not sleep with her."

Gantz's blush took up his whole face at that comment. Soul Calibur had meant nothing teasingly by it. She was just a sword, after all, and she just knew that when mortals were close they... Well, let's not delve too far into it. "We're not THAT close yet Soul. We're just boyfriend and girlfriend." He cleared his throat, to clear away the blush. "In ANY case, I just needed some fresh air."

Sword as Soul Calibur was though, that didn't mean she was blunt and coarse all the time. "And here we are walking through some graveyard? I feel like it may not be a smart idea. Who knows what kind of odd characters could be wandering around this place."

"You worry too much Soul." Came the nonchalant response from Gantz.

The two stopped, almost simultaneously and they looked to their right.

"Feel that as well?" Rain said continuing to look in that direction.

"Why wouldn't I" Rai said, beginning to walk up onto the hill cautiously to see who or what it was coming from. Rancore followed silently. When they reached the the top of the hill they looked around. Seeing a figure towards the bottom on the steeper side of the hill, they both watched him intently. He seemed that he was the source of the the two signatures, but how? Two for a single person was rather rare, so there had to be someone or something else near him. Rain made a gesture to Kurai and to signal him to move toward the figure.

"Come on" Rai said. How dangerous can he be?

"One can never be to careful, or have you forgotten?" Rain said with a smart alec tone.

"Ok, if you want this to work you going to have to stop being a smart ass" Rai said picking up his pace some. As they neared the figure, they had already guessed that the second signature was coming from his sword.

Gantz was the first to feel two strange aura's quickly approaching him and Soul Calibur. "Soul..."

"I feel them Gantz..." Came Soul's response, "What do we do?"

Gantz thought a moment...

Maybe he should play it safe. I mean, it's not like EVERYONE on this island wanted to fight.

Quickly he turned in the direction where he was sure he felt the energy signatures in. "Okay, who's there?"

"Vincent Valentine?"

Gantz wasn't sure what to make of Kurai, by the looks of things.

Kurai stopped. "Huh, me?" he asked

Rain stopped as well and laughed. "well, at least I'm not the only one" he said through the laughter.

"Oh shut up" Rai glared at him.

"Anyway" Rancore said still smiling, "who are you? And before you ask, I am Rancore, but every one calls me Rain. 'Vincent' here is Kurai. Call him Rai if you wish"

[What? I may be a serious writer, but I figured I'd take advantage of our earlier conversation. XD]

Gantz lightly blushed at his mistake, before shrugging. "Sorry man, you just look a bit like this video game character that I know." He cleared his throat. "ANYWAYS, it's nice to meet you, Rain, Rai; the name's Gantz." There came the sound of someone else clearing her throat. "Oh-" He patted the sword in the hilt. "And this is my compatriat Soul Calibur."

Before either one could question if the boy was off his marbles...

"The Pleasure's all yours." Gantz's eyes narrowed a little at this comment. Way to make a good first impression Soul...

"so, what are you doing out here then?" Rain asked.

"And how the hell can your sword talk?" rai asked rudely, obviously still a little mad at the picture i used forhim

"If you MUST know, I'm the legendary Soul Calibur, you impudent oaf." Soul growled, "Well known in many worlds as the Miracle Sword, and the eternal rival of Soul Edge."

Gantz started patting Soul Calibur... HARD; to get her to shut up. "Please forgive Soul, sometimes she forgets her manners." Gantz really didn't like the way these guys looked in all honesty, judging by their aura, they were obviously pretty tough. So getting into a fight might not be the smartest idea. "ANYWAYS, my apologies for the mistake... So... What are you two doing out here this time of night?"

"Taking a walk in a park" Rain said smiling, "And if i may state my opinion, I prefer...a sword that cant talk...i believe it would be like having a second head, your never alone."

Rai lightened up about the way he looks now and says, "you never answered why your here though." Rotating his magnum on his finger, Rai was beginning to get a little bored in this park, but he stayed because something eventful might happen.

Gantz shrugged at the question, not really flinching at the Magnum, big as it was. Honestly? He had seen far more intimidating things; a hint Kurai likely caught onto from his response. "Well, I'm just out here for a little fresh air, taking a walk myself you see." He sighed a little bit, "You see, I'm just coming off of a little misadventure I had recently, and I needed the fresh air to catch my breath and let the whole advent sink in."

"Makes sense to me" Rai responded, still rotating the magnum, obviously not caring if he wanted to fight or not.

"Yeah." Rain added, stabbing his sword into the ground, kinda bored himself. However, he wasnt in the mood to fight Gantz or Soul. Rai on the other hand stop twirling his magnum and shot a crow, the magnum nearly silent. After this he went back to twirling it.

"So what are we doing standing around here?" Rai said, "Lets find something to do." He rested his arm on his magnums holster, stopping the rotation.
