My speakers suddenly stopped working. I can't live without my music. So, if anyone here can give me some help, that'd be much appreciated.

Aww, man... I feel for ya.
Most harddrives SHOULD have a Headphone jack. Try that until you get new speakers.

Hard-drives DO NOT have a sound jack. You should find the sound jacks behind the computer connected to the motherboard or sound card, the jack is coloured green. Some computer cases also have sound jacks at the front. And nice work getting 1337 posts!

Huh? Well then I guess it depends on the makers of the computers, because the ones at my school had headphone jacks right on the front.

My computer also has audio jacks at the front, but they still connect with the motherboard. They are at the front so you don't have to crawl behind the computer to plug in your audio hardware.

My speakers and volume controller are connected to the same thing, they're all plugged in and clean. Volume control on the actual computer has no glitches, so I don't know...
This happened once before. I had to reset the computer to its store-bought state, losing all my downloaded stuff in the process (RIP iTunes). However, since there's not much on this one, I think I may have to use another tactic.
Does anyone know how to crash an XP and make it look like a bad accident or age? That way, maybe I could get Vista, Windows 7 or even a Mac to replace this piece of crap.

UPDATE:
It turns out I had a loose plug. Tightened the little bastard back in, and I've got sound again.
HAPPY DAY.

Hah! Something like that happened to me no too long ago. One of my speakers in my headphones wasn't emitting sound, and it was only after dismantling and putting back together both phones that I realized I just had to twizzle my headphone jack to get sound to come through.
