Double D was too focused on the healing to notice, but Marion followed Lucy's gaze over to King. "Aww... bad dreams again..."

Lucy looked at King and frowned. When Double D was done the healing, she immediately jumped off the bed, went over to King's bed, and then got in with him, cuddling up to him.
King panted for breath, blood dripping from his lips. Above him stood his tormenter. Lawrence grinned, holding Fletcher's head. King's whole body shook with pain. He let his head drop as Lawrence raised what looked to be a magnum to the defeated boy's head.
But before he could pull the trigger, Lawrence began to melt. His pained cries caused a healing King to look up. There was a silver-haired woman behind Lawrence, standing behind him even as he melted and Fletcher's head dissapeared. He looked at the dark landscape began to glow a bright white. And then it was suddenly a forest, green with blue skies. King looked around and saw Fletcher there. Letting out a gasp, he forgot about the woman and began to run towards him.
Marion looked confused as King's shuddering stopped and he seemed to smile in his sleep.

"Ngh... eh?" Having snapped out of his trance by the girl's abrupt movements, Double D watched Lucy approach a trembling King, and was astounded when the man stopped his nightmarish shivering.
"...any development?" Fletcher asked quietly as he entered, knowing at least someone must've been asleep. "Eh? what's this?"
"I'm... not quite sure what to make of it," Eddward admitted, scratching his head. "...she seems to have eased his night terrors... do you suppose that could be..."
"Her power? ...perhaps."

Lucy woke up a little after King started smiling and rubbed her eyes after getting out of bed. She stumbled off the bed and sort of fell against a standing Fletcher.

"Whoop!" Fletcher gently caught her, letting her stand. "Easy, lass... are you feeling better?"

Lucy let out a little lazy sort of noise to answer the question. She was feeling better if she could get that out easily enough.

Fletcher smiled. "Good." She patted her head before a smiling Double D led the sleepy girl back to the bed for her rest. "How about you, King? Are you alright?"

Lucy laid down, staring at the ceiling. She sighed, closing her eyes and dreaming a nice dream of her own.
King woke up and stretched his arms, feeling rather refreshed. When Fletcher asked him how he was, he answered with the following.
"It's strange. I was having one of my nightmares. Lawrence killed everyone and was about to kill me. But, before I died, this silver-haired woman came. She looked like something out of a fantasy. She... killed Lawrence and changed everything. The war-torn battleground I was trapped in changed into a serene, tranquil forest. And you had come back and everyone else was alive, even though they kinda left us alone, and..." He blushed, choosing not to describe further. "It was so weird... and yet it was also so beautiful."

Fletcher smirked warmly at King's words...while Double D blushed slightly beside him. "WELL, now, that's wonderful to hear, King, I'll just leave the two of you alone, shall we go color now, Marion~?" He swept aside, bringing his giggling daughter into his arms.
"Hooray!" she cheered as they disappeared out of the room to give the adults their privacy.

King looked at Fletcher, then looked at Lucy. Lucy was somewhat asleep now. King looked at Fletcher and smiled, making his way over to the other Britishman and snuggling up to him softly.

Fletcher smiled down at King, holding him close with one arm. "...we have reason to believe that girl is responsible for your change in the dream spetrum," he explained. "The Tribunal were chasing her, so if that makes her a Super Child, her power is most likely related to dreams."

"I'm getting really sick and tired of the Tribunal. If those bastards don't fuck off, I will make them bleed," King growled.

Fletcher sighed. "Get in line, King... get in line." He had a vendetta with the Tribunal longer than anyone else in their merry band...long, long before.
"...but enough of all this talk of gloom," Fletcher brought up a smile to try and lighten the mood. "She's quite alright now."

"Indeed," King said. "They killed my parents." (Music for the occasion www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ww3pcR79ExoI LOVE THIS THEME! But it does suit Lucy quite a bit.) King looked stunned as Lucy began to speak, having been awake the whole time. "It's my birthday today... my tenth birthday," she said. "And yet... I feel so old, so weak and decripit, because my powers do not border to reality. A virtual catastrophe. I am nothing because my powers are not meant for the world of the awake. I dream besides other individuals, learn what they know, see into their minds, and gain knowledge not meant for a child to process. The brain grows mightiers as more intelligence is imparted, more experience gained, even when you do not experience it in reality. To see it, to feel it in the dream world, to understand and comprehend it, grasp it as if it were in reality... that is part of my power. And when one can grasp it, one can learn to manipulate it, control it. As humans control their own destinies, as the fates of old are passed aside for the spirits of progression, requiring an understanding on how to keep to your own path on your own, so to do I keep my dreams light and vivid, the dreams of my friends romantic and blissful, yet to make the dreams of my enemies cruel and unfathomable, to make them experience pain uncomprehensible to the human body. That is the other part of my power." King gawked at the girl's over-intelligable, rapid-paced form of speaking. She looked at the two Britishman and frowned. "I am Goddess of the Dream World. A virtual diety. It is understandable that the supposed followers a religion would hunt me down for I am a threat to them, an enemy in the world they want to create. But that is only me, so why my parents? My mother and father only sought to protect me, yet they had to die? There is a pain one can only suffer after truely losing someone precious to you. I loved my parents and they loved me. They took care of me, raised me to be kind and smart, yet able to feel happiness... the opposite of how I am now, unable to find that happiness, only able to share it with others. I am broken beyond repair, scarred with knowledge children my age should never know. I have learned there is no such thing as the Easter Bunny in my world, that Santa Claus is a figment of the world's imagination in my world, and that God is an illusion in my world. I have discovered the effects of alcohol and drugs on the body and have learned many different sexual styles and positions. I am beyond many children and should be delighted to hold so much knowledge, and yet... I am not." Lucy brought her face into her knees, not sobbing, but hiding herself from the other two. "I do not wish to die, yet at the same time I sometimes wish I was never born at all... Why do humans have to feel such arrays of guilt and sorrow, even when they know it's not their fault? I know that I couldn't protect them, so why do I still blame myself for not being able to protect them?"

Fletcher soaked in all of this quietly. It was a sobering kind of lifestyle indeed, but though he hadn't met the Super Child of Dreams before, the story of her parents' death was one he had heard many times before.
"All of these rampant, unexplainable emotions... only makes you human," he replied as they took a seat on the bed either side of her. "Nuts off to what the Tribunal say; behind all of the superpowers, we are all still human. And as such, we all have an ability to recover from past nightmares if we choose to."
